Rimmel London : 60 Seconds Nail Polish
HotGetting the London Look has never been easier. I’ve been spotting Rimmel’s 60 second polish everywhere and wanted to see if it really dries in 60 seconds because waiting for polish to dry is one of the main reasons why I don’t do my nails with nailpolish anymore. She sent me a stunning shade in “230 Portobello Pink” and I’m smitten! I didn’t feel like doing the whole nailart thing because I had to hit the books 10mins later so this was the perfect time to see if this polish really did what it says it does AND IT 100%, HONESTLY, ABSOLUTELY, DEFINITELY does it. Its been 3 days and my nails still looks beauty parlor perfect. Besides the quick drying, long lasting and amazing formulation, I quite liked the applicator. Its bigger than your standard polish brush. It took me 2 strokes and 1 coat to achieve this look and a picture doesn’t do this colour justice. Its much pinker than what it appears on the picture. Rimmel 60 second nail polish comes in 16 stunning shades and I wish I had them all. This is my new fave nail polish. I have no complaints about this polish. Highly recommended darlings! You can also purchase this from Rubybox as well as your usual drugstores like Clicks and Dischem.
User reviews
so for me this nail polish is #goals.
The colour is a lovely deep peachy corally vibrant shade that looks amazing for summer and spring time. The only issue i have with this nail polish is that you need to apply multiple coats to really get a smooth clean shade all around which makes it finish really quickly which is a little worrysome as it comes at a price of about R80 or more.
All in all, It is a lovely nail polish and i will buy it again and again and again.

They have gorgeous colors and they stay true to their color when worn.
Only problem.....it doesn't dry in 60 seconds...
It takes just as long as any other nail Polish.

Product Recommendation
For the 8ml small bottle, however, I'm a little bit weary of the price but nevertheless, a definite good investment!
I don’t do nail art. Quite the opposite after years I still struggle to paint my nails with my non-dominant hand. But once in a while I like to have some colour on my nails without having to spend the time and money at the salon. My ideal nail polish would go on smoothly in one smooth stroke, dry quickly and let me get on with my life and stay beautifully put. Yes I know that may be wishful thinking but formulas are improved and I decided to try Rimmel London’s 60 Seconds nails polish.
Seeing as Rimmel claims the nail polish takes 1 second to apply and 60 seconds to dry I was disappointed. The nail polish is applied with a thicker stubbier brush which takes some getting use to but one still needs to use more than one stroke so no application does not take only one second. After 60 seconds the nail polish was still tacky so needs longer to dry and does not achieve full coverage in one coat as claimed.
I tried two colours 625 Sir, Yes Sir! and 605 Purple Reign. Even after two coats I still did not like 605 and I could feel ridges at the areas where the nail polish was thicker. This colour will be banished to my toes. On the other hand after two coats 625 dried to a lovely, even colour which felt smooth. I’m a hands on kinda gal so unfortunately there was chip on my thumb (see pic) within the first 24 hours.
Rimmel London 60 Seconds nail polish at R59.99 is reasonably priced. When all is said and done 60 Seconds nail polish does not live up to the claims made by Rimmel London. If you critique 60 Seconds as just another nail polish then yes it is of better quality and last slightly longer than similarly priced products. So if you find a colour you particularly like as with me and 625 and accept what it is and not what it promises to be it’s worth getting.
Will not be buying Rimmel again
