It wasn't too long ago that I had tried my first body butter and since then, with each new experience comes a better and thicker product. This has got to be the epitome of all body butters! It is the thickest butter I have ever experienced and I just want to lather my body in it. Like most body butters (and the above body lotion), it is made with Shea butter, which is great at moisturizing and repairing even the toughest of skins. I wasn't happy with the scent of this butter though, I found it to be a little too... chemical? But I couldn't resist to make good use of it, on my feet, when I saw that unlike other butters- the moisture doesn't just stop with the Shea butter.
No, this body butter doubles it up by adding baobab oil. Perhaps that explains the scent not being all that pleasant, because I am not entirely sure what a baobab tree smells like. Being so very pregnant, these days, I can't exactly put on a pair of shoes that requires me bending and have stuck to slip on slops - they are not the most attractive and I have noticed that the bottoms of my feet have become very worn and hard. I have tried several remedies that seem to help for a day or two, but found that this butter is the best at softening and treating the hard skin. I can imagine that this body butter will be exceptionally great for the upcoming winter months, so make your purchase now!

I always praise companies who think as far as putting body lotion in squirting bottles, like this one. You see, I can't stand when I get cream all over the place in attempt to close the bottle. Again, I love the simplicity of the packaging that follows right through the range. The scent accompanies that of the liquid soap and so I thought it suitable to put with the liquid soap, next to my kitchen sink. This has motivated me to start making use of hand creams, daily, and encouraging a new routine- which looking back, I don't know how I have gone without it before. I really am taken back by how nourishing all of the African Rain products are. Again, a small squirt goes further than you can imagine and covers my arms and hands with an amazing moisturising lotion. The citrus scent of the soap is more subtle than that of the lotion, although they both have the same ingredients - I did find the lotion a little more powerful - but not overbearing. You can easily make use of this in your daily skin routine to take care of your entire body, it will leave you feeling energised and your skin feeling smoother and softer!

So as you can imagine, I was more than excited to give another liquid soap a try, as we go through more of them than underwear. I liked that this packaging was subtle and pictured it to fit in, with any guest bathroom. I decided that I would put it by my kitchen basin though, as the scent isn't fruity and I love having a liquid soap to use, in the kitchen, between cooking, etc. I couldn't think of the right word to describe the smell - it is very refreshing and awakening! I put this down to the lemon and mandarin, which makes it a pleasant citrus smell. As mentioned on their site, I like that the soap isn't gender specific (my hubby hates smelling like peaches and cream.) I am used to needing two or three pumps for an effective hand wash, (which is probably why we go through so much of the stuff) so was happily surprised when I literally needed less than a pump of soap for it to create a thick and luxurious lather. The refreshing scent is long lasting and leaves your hands feeling cleansed for a good time after. I like that the soap lacked colour and all the glitziness because it proved that you don't need all the distractions for it to be noticed as a good hand soap.

I am sure that I have mentioned how I am not a fan of bars of soap and usually opt for liquid soap, at my basin, and body wash, at my bath. However, I do choose to use them when shaving, which is what proposed the idea of putting this bar to use. I love the rustic-look of the soap, especially the little engravings on each bar. It is a handmade bar that smells oh so wonderful, containing oils of Kalahari melon, olive, coconut, sunflower and palm. I love natural oils and make use of them as much as I can, in my beauty routines. I especially adore the amount of oils that this soap is infused with. From the time of opening my box, I was in awe of the refreshing scents that it oozed and was quite intrigued to put it to use. As I mentioned, my intention was to only use it for shaving - but that has quickly changed. After lathering the thick soap all over my legs, it was like being hit with cupid's arrow. The Kalahari melon is the most intoxicating scent I have ever come across! I am a sucker for melon, as is, but the combination with the other oils makes it a real winner. I was surprised at how nourishing the bar is, as often, after rinsing you can feel the loss of the effect. More so, I was blown away when my husband knocked on the door of the bathroom to ask what I was washing with because it smelt so good. I thought that it was just me who could smell the all-powerful sweetness because I had coated my body with it countless times, afraid I may have scrubbed a few freckles away too, but the fact that the smell carried through to the office, really amazed me! (Needless to say, he has adopted the bar and made it part of his bath routine, too.) My biggest realization was when subconsciously I grabbed the bar instead of my usual hand wash - that is a big statement to me!
