What’s new from Dermalogica…
The clean, crisp interior of the Dermalogica on Wembley concept store set the tone for an informative and hands on experience with three fantastic new products available in SA over the next few months of 2016.
We were introduced to the key offerings of Dermalogica, namely Face Mapping®, the Skin Bar and Microzone treatments.
A free ten minute Face Mapping® is conducted by a licensed Dermalogica skin therapist to analyse the skin from your forehead and ears to your collarbone. The purpose of which is to identify any individual skin concerns and subsequently recommend the correct Dermalogica products to target those concerns.
Following from an informative Face Mapping® the Skin Bar allows an opportunity to test and experience the recommended Dermalogica products and learn how to use them, at no charge.
In some cases a BioSurface™ Peel may be recommended to address skin concerns such as premature ageing and pigmentation. A series of 3-6 BioSurface™ Peels reveal smoother and brighter skin without any ‘downtime’.
Looking for a skin fix in flash? A Dermalogica microZone® targeted 20 minute treatment provides relief from dull skin to breakouts in minimal time.
An exciting addition to the primer family, hydrablur™ primer (R850) creates a smooth canvas for makeup or can be worn on bare skin for a bright, flawless finish. Regular use sees a 15% reduction in pores and the microencapsulated tint provides self-adjusting coverage that is suitable for all South African skin tones. Look out for this highly anticipated product in stores from March 2016!
We had the opportunity to experience the charcoal rescue masque (R790, available in April) first hand at the Dermalogica Skin Bar, and were astounded at the fast-acting formulation which addresses a range of concerns from ageing to acne. Enriched with volcanic ash, marine silt, and bamboo extract to name but a few, the masque acts to adsorb; impurities cling to the surface of the active ingredients and are removed with the product.
Lastly, but certainly not least, revolutionary new IonActive treatments will be offered in salon from June 2016. In only 45 minutes challenging skin conditions are targeted using a range of 4 ionised actives and in some cases with the combined use of additions such as galvanic, ultrasound and LED.
