The side bun can be styled to obtain an elegant and classic up style appropriate for formal events or it can be styled to obtain a more casual up look.
This look is low maintenance and can be styled differently depending on the result you would like.
The Side bun is great because it can be styled and created on any type of Hair ,wavy, curly or straight and is perfect for any style of hair, short, medium or long.
A great tip before you start
I always say that hair is most manageable if it’s been a day since it was shampooed. Clean hair is very slippery and the natural oil from day-old hair helps up styles stay in place for longer. This look is also best if you have medium to long hair but is also stunning on short hair. Always remember to have lots of bobby pins and hair grips handy, Hair elastics and of course Hair Spray and Shine Serum.
Let’s get started on this stunning summer look-
Start by Brushing your hair so it’s smooth and manageable. Part your hair on the right or left side depending on what look you would like and tease the hair right underneath the part this will make sure that it doesn’t look flat.
Bring all your hair to your left or right side and pull your hair into a loose ponytail right above your ear not too high.
Right before securing your ponytail, only pull half your hair through so it forms a side bun.
Loosen the ponytail slightly and then tighten again to add texture and volume.
Pull several small sections out to add body
Using bobby pins and grips, pin random sections of your hair and the bun to your head until you get your desired level of volume.
To make the bun a little more casual, pull some hair out of the bun and spray some hairspray on your hair be careful not to spray to much you don’t want your side bun to look to stiff, after you are done use your hands to pat down stray hairs.
Finally, add a little shine serum and add a little to and pieces you want to stand out. Add any glam clips or flowers to spice up your hairstyle.
And now you have your messy fun side bun.
