Hangover?!!!
Oh dear…
So you threw back one two many strawberry daiquiris the night before, and now you feel like someone has hit you over the head with a heavy object…
Yes, we’ve all been there…so don’t feel like the biggest goof ball in history…
Lets see how we can fix it shall we?
1. If you remembered to drink a glass or two of water before you went to sleep, then good on you! If not, now is the time to do it! Two glasses of water, before coffee please…
2. Keep make-up minimal. Your skin will be dehydrated from all the alcohol, so avoid the temptation to pack on a lot in the hopes of looking better. Rather apply two layers of moisturiser, and a light application of liquid foundation.
3. Skip the powder. It will only make you look more tired.
4. Avoid black liner and mascara overload. The harshness of a black liner and clumpy eye-lashes will not flatter red eyes nor puffy faces. Opt for soft bronze kohl or a dark grey liner instead. Apply an even coat of mascara and comb lashes through.
5. Avoid pink blusher, and opt for an all over bronzer instead. If you feel naked without blusher then, perhaps a peachy tone just on the apples of the cheeks will do the trick.
6. Try to use a great under eye instant boosting cream like Macs Fast Response under eye cream. The caffeine content instantly re-energizers tired or dark under circles. Then apply a warm pinkey/orangey under toned concealer over it. This really works! Remember to use your ring finger for the gentlest application. I like using fingers to apply concealer, almost just pressing it onto the skin, as it warms the concealer and makes for a smoother application.
7. Keep a moisturising spray in your bag. Body Shops Vitamin E Spray is great. It’s such a quick an easy moisture boost for dry or dehydrated skins.
8. Lastly, try a slighter brighter lip colour than what you would normally wear. It will brighten up your face instantly.
Ladies, if none of this works, the only other piece of advice I have for you is, stay in bed! And don’t tell your boss I said that!
Till next time : )
