One in 29 women is diagnosed with breast cancer every year and, since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ghd is giving you an opportunity to show your support for those battling cancer.

In case you missed the Cancer Association of South Africa’s (CANSA) Shavathons earlier this year or if you are not brave enough to shave off your hair, then make your way down to the second annual ghd style-a-thon in October.  The ghd styling teams will be on duty to style your hair in a bid to raise funds for CANSA, as well as show support and acknowledgement for the hard work being done by the association to educate the public and provide support to people who are affected by cancer.

The ghd style-a-thons will take place at shopping centres in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town on Saturday, 27 October and Sunday, 28 October 2012, during mall hours. A donation of R50 for adults (R20 for children under 12 years) will enable you to have your hair professionally styled using ghd’s range of stylers, products, brushes and the new ghd air.  

Since 2007, ghd South Africa has contributed over R1.3 million to CANSA through sales of its annual limited edition Pink styler by donating R100 from each styler sold to this worthy cause. Visitors to the ghd style-a-thon will be able to make an additional donation to CANSA by purchasing the 2012 Pink Cherry Blossom limited edition styler (R2380).
