Top Christmas stocking stuffers – beauty treats to spoil you and yours this festive season, but especially you!
Christmas is definitely the time for giving, but we all have to admit that getting isn’t bad either! I have been putting together my wish list from all the sumptuous gifts that are on offer and it has really been difficult to decide! It seems like each year the offerings only get better and, unfortunately, more expensive, which is a great pity, because our pay packets don’t seem to keep up.
One of my favourite picks has got to be this DKNY gift set from Edgars
This gift set is just so gorgeous I almost drooled, I don’t know if it’s because of all the sparkles or because of what’s inside, but it definitely outshone all its rivals and attracted me to it like a magnet. It contains a 100ml eau de perfume, a mini perfume for your handbag, a 100ml body lotion and a DKNY keychain and costs R945.00 for the Golden Delicious (my personal fav) or R930.00 for the Be Delicious. The gift set is worth R1300.00 according to the sticker on the packaging.
Every girl dreams of having satin sheets and Simply Satin seem to have reasonable pricing on their sets starting from R350.00 for a double set. Their sets consist of 2 pillow cases, a generously cut flat sheet and a fitted sheet. They also sell extra length sheets for their queen and king-size sets. Their colour options come in “wicked white”,” platinum pleasure” and “beach bronze”.
Woollies always come out with some amazing gift ideas over the festive season and in the make-up range, I fell in love with their Lancome Hypnose Star gift set. It contains the Lancome Hypnose Star mascara, a le Crayon Kohl mini and a 30ml Bifacil Eye makeup remover for R315.00. This is also available in Lancome’s Doll Eyes and Drama variants and is everything you need to glam up those eyes barring eyeshadow.
I also love their Dune Goddess Shimmer Body Butter. It’s a very affordable R79.95 and I think the Aztec type packaging is perfect. Great as an add-on to another gift or even on its own, it’s just gorgeous!
Another excellent Woollies stocking filler are their rollerball perfumes. Their perfumes are approved by Beauty Without Cruelty and these fabulous little 10ml minis are available in L’Oriental, Bliss, Infiniti, Fleur and JT One. Perfect for the handbag and so affordable at R45.00 each!
Clicks also have some wonderful offerings as usual. I adore the Oh So Heavenly range, or OSH as the ladies in my family call it, as in Question: “What would you like from Santa this Christmas?”, Answer :”Oh just tell him to give me some OSH!”
Something new this year is their cute Retro Romance range. My personal pick is the “True Love Travel Luxuries” set which contains a cute cosmetic pouch, body wash, body lotion and a four sided nail file and costs R94.99.
The Festive Sparkle Foam Bath Bauble is so affordable at R24.99 and completely adorable! Perfect as a last minute gift!
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Body Shop. I don’t know about you ladies, but I am like a kid in a candy store when I walk in to that shop. I don’t know what to feast my eyes on first!
I love their seasonal treats that they always introduce over the festive season and this year is no exception. This year they have brought us Ginger Sparkle, Vanilla Bliss and Cranberry joy. All yummilicious fragrances that are good enough to eat. I absolutely love their gift sets! For R325.00 you get the body polish, body butter, body wash and lip balm in the flavour ( sorry, I meant fragrance of course) of your choice. The sticker on the packaging says the contents are actually worth a bit more, so that’s always a bonus!
Butter up duos available in a number of yummy fragrances
If you are just looking for a small add-on or filler for a teenagers stocking, the cutie-pie lip balms are also irresistible and I think those sell for around R50.00 or so.
My absolute favourite pick from the Body Shop’s offerings is The Sparkler! Available in Dazzling Copper for brunette beauties and Enchanting Gold for fairer complexions, this is a limited edition atomiser that sprays fine fairy dust to highlight your face, body and hair. It’s a little pricey at R190.00, but completely worth it if you really want to get your sparkle on over the party season and I couldn’t resist buying a bottle. It’s with great reluctance that I allowed the helpful staff at the Body Shop to gift wrap it! Sigh, not bought for me, but for a dear friend.
Enjoy your Christmas shopping beautiful ladies! I hope Santa puts some awesome pressies in your Christmas stocking this year! If all fails, leave some catalogues placed strategically around your home and circle in red khoki all your Christmas wishes – just maybe they will come true xxx
