Get top beauty tips on what too wear and do on your Valentines Date right here!
Oh Valentine’s Day…the day when we celebrate love and being in love! This is traditionally the day when we exchange cheesy gifts and cards with the one we love the most and also plan romantic dinner dates. On this day, florists all over the world rub their hands together with glee in anticipation of all those millions of red roses they are going to sell to love-struck customers. Every girl wants to be swamped with roses and therefore would like to look their best for the man in their life. So what should we avoid wearing on our romantic evening out?
Do not wear those sexy stiletto heels, which look absolutely gorge when you first put them on. They are called “killer heels” for a reason. After five minutes of wearing them, they will morph into a medieval form of torture. You will not be able to relax and enjoy your evening and your date may even misconstrue that pained expression on your face and cut the evening short. By all means wear heels, but make sure they are comfortable! If in doubt wear wedges, always my safest bet.
Don’t wear clothing that is too tight, too low-cut or too see-through. Wardrobe malfunctions are never attractive. Buttons have a habit of popping, zips jam and seams tear at the most inappropriate moments. Plus you can’t really enjoy good food if your dress is too tight. You don’t want people thinking you have another bun in the oven, just because you are a bit full after your meal and your outfit is showing off every lump and bump. Also, it is sexy to leave a little to the imagination (NOT little to the imagination) of your guy.
As stunning as that bright red lippy looks and as glamorous as it makes you feel, unless it REALLY is stay fast, don’t wear it! It will only wind up being smeared all over your face if your man gives you a kiss. Clowns are NOT sexy! Go for a more subtle nude shade. Your man will thank you! (Read lipstick product reviews)
Don’t wear a too-short mini dress or skirt if you are going on a dinner date and are just going to be sitting down a lot. It’s just going to be uncomfortable and depending on the seating at the restaurant you may end up having to unpeel your bare legs from the chair. Very unflattering and not sexy at all!
Make sure you know the dress code at your restaurant of choice. You may well be able to wear your prettiest dress and dress up to the nines, but most places are more casual these days and it may be more appropriate to wear smart jeans with a sexy top.
Bedtime attire should NOT include your ratty flannels or holy tracksuit pants, no matter how comfy they may be! This is Valentine’s Day ladies, and the emphasis is on romance. Now is the time to scratch out your most feminine lingerie. It doesn’t need to be anything too OTT, just something that makes you feel sexy and glad to be in your skin.
Now take this beauty tip and go relax and enjoy your Valentines Date!
