It’s said to start working in 3 minutes, but my partner and I had to leave it on for a bit longer for it to work effectively. Perhaps it’s a user error, but I don’t think it was as effective as I had anticipated when it came to removing all my hair. I found myself having to reapply the lotion twice or even three times, in order for most of the hair to be removed. From the first use, my partner had a mild burning sensation after he used the lotion, so I’d say that people splits sensitive skin should be a bit more careful. What I love about the lotion is that you can smooth it on places that a razor wouldn’t be able to reach. And I also love that you just have to use a wet cloth to wipe it off. Very convenient. What I would we would improve, in both the male and female range, is possibly including an applicator and make the bottle right side up because it tends to mess once you open it up. So this cream was an easy solution. If you can get past the smell, it isn't so bad. I actually think over the years they have improved the smell of the product and it isn't as harsh as it used to be. I use the "in shower" cream but I don't actually use it in the actual shower as it wasn't very effective for me that way. I always leave it on for the maximum time allowed. Don't ever leave it on for longer than recommended! I made that mistake once and had a terrible rash on my shoulder and back area that was very uncomfortable for a few days. I would recommend this product, but I wouldn't suggest you use it very often as there are obviously very strong chemicals in it. I first used it under my arms, and applied it generously. Absolutely no hair came off and I waited 10 minutes. What is strange to me is that I did experience a slight tingling sensation which would mean the product is working, no? The second attempt under my arms was a few days later, and this time I tried one arm pit at a time, stretching the skin straight, but again, it was a total waste of my time. Then I thought, let me try it on my legs, perhaps my underarm area is the problem. I waited 5 minutes, nothing happened, I waited 10 minutes, nothing happened. It was so disappointing. I find the whole process very messy because it gets everywhere and when I was scraping it off, it was hard to get the cream that I had just removed, off of the spatula. These strips aren't so sticky that they make your skin all sticky and uncomfortable, but they are strong enough to remove A LOT of hair at once. With other strips my skin gets sticky and all the hair remains. Not cool. HairGo also doesn't dry out my skin, rip off skin or leave my skin irritated.
