So this weekend I took myself and a friend for a little R&R to the uber chic Chanel Bettison Hair and Beauty Concept Store in Cape Town. Since I’ve been packing the entire week in preparation for my move I definitely needed some time in a relaxation station to unwind and just kick back.
Untitled-2I received word that Chanel Bettison Hair and Beauty Concept Store was busy running a fabulous winter special where just R450 gets you a 45 min back/neck/shoulder massage WITH a hand or foot massage and a gelish mani or pedi. Of course I just had to make a booking! I’ve never visited this one-stop beauty salon before and heard many amazing things about them so I just couldn’t wait to get in there!
Why is it called a concept store and not a salon? Quite simply because they don’t offer just the ordinary beauty treatments such as massages, mani’s and facials. They go far beyond that to extend their services to include makeup for special occasions, botox, teeth whitening as well as hair treatments, washing and blow drying. It’s definitely the perfect place for the modern woman on the move – with the lifestyle that today’s women lead, it’s crucial to try and save time wherever you can.
Untitled-3They’re situated at 71 Shortmarket Street in the heart of Cape Town so naturally the store attracts many tourists during the year. The interior decoration and location adds to its somewhat international atmosphere. Incredibly beautiful paintings are hung up on just about every wall of the store so you also get that bright art gallery feel to it.
Untitled-4As you go upstairs it almost transforms into a rustic beach-side escape with stunning white washed wooden flooring, matte chocolate brown walls and ambient lighting set at just the right tone.
Untitled-5The back, neck and shoulder massage that I got was nothing short of amazing – I may or may not have dozed off a few times :) Since I can’t commit to having one color on my nails for a whole 2 weeks I let my friend come along so that she could claim my gelish mani and hand massage. She went with a gorgeous “Kardashian” gold shade and was very pleased with the results.
