The cult classic that is Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Therapy

Crabtree & Evelyn were creating luxury skincare, fragrances, and bath and body products based on natural ingredients way before it became cool for beauty brands to go natural. 

It all began back in 1972, when the company’s trendsetting founder, Cyrus Harvey, started to combine ingredients from his home garden to create unique fragrances and assorted toiletries – humble beginnings for what became a viable family business, and eventually Crabtree & Evelyn – an international brand with over 500 stores worldwide, and a heaven-scented collection of cult classic products.

We’ve been fans of La Source Hand Therapy (R330 for 100 ml) for years, and with a tube being sold somewhere in the world every five seconds, evidently we’re not the only ones. 

The hardworking hand cream has won awards and is loved by shmodels and celebs (hello Kate Mara!). Enriched with underwater algae, mineral salts and seaweed – close your eyes, breathe it in, and you’ll smell the crisp ocean air! – it also contains shea butter and macadamia nut oil for deep moisturisation; hyaluronic acid and ceramides for hydration, and myrrh extract to strengthen nails and cuticles.
