Dettol Hygiene

Well i have been using detol for years and this hand wash is amazing kills germs and leaves ur hands fresh without getting dry and flaky

We grew up with Dettol, so it was only natural to try out their hand wash!
I use this one every day because I love the scent and also knowing that it kills germs.
It's super convenient to buy the refills but the refills are priced the same as the bottled one (in the store near me, anyway) so it's really just an environmentally friendly decision to buy the refill.

This product is super convenient to have on your sink or basin in the kitchen or bathroom :)

The pump makes it super easy to apply without getting it all over the bottle.

The range of fragrances is really nice! We switch it up every so often :)

The consistency is nice and creamy, leaving hands feeling super clean thereafter :)

I feel good and safe knowing I have washed my hands with a disinfectant!

Hygiene is one of the most important things and we should be educating out families and keeping them safe. Germs are really dangerous - especially the types that our hands come into contact with. Washing your hands should be high up on your priority list. This product does the job and smells pleasant.

I’ve been travelling to Cape Town on business for the last three years, while here I have been exposed to some of the most erratic weather conditions from the Mother City that saying of four seasons in one day is no lie, from being caught in a random hail storm to almost being blown away by the south easterly but this by far is the most server drought I’ve ever experienced. I arrived in Cape Town last year April and while I was only supposed to be here for 3 months a year later I’m still here so basically this has become my home away from home. Dam levels are now at an all-time low with bordering close to 100 days of water supply available, almost every media source out there urges us to be more water wise and do your part to save water. It has come to a stage where they are even issuing fines to people and businesses who refuse to comply with the water restrictions.
I know you may be wondering what exactly does this have to do with manicures, but in reality it has a lot to do with your manicure, from a personal perspective when it comes to my hands I am a bit pedantic about cleanliness, the industry that I work in is not the cleanest nor the most glamourous, don’t get me wrong it’s not that I’m afraid to get my hands dirty manicure or not I have no issues with getting my hands covered in grease, hard work didn’t hurt anyone, my issue is letting them stay dirty. My paranoia started when I started calling on board vessels in the port, my colleague and I walked into one of the Captain’s cabins for a meeting, as we walked in he just so happened to be cutting his toenails, when he saw us he politely dusted his hands and extended his hand to me for a hand shake. Well that was my ever end! The rest of the meeting all I could think of was how I had this man’s toe jam on my hands!!!! That incident birthed my obsession with sanitizers and wet wipes.
On the flip side of that I also encounter a lot of different people from all walks of life on a daily basis and with that I am exposed to a lot of germs so I always have wet wipes or sanitizer handy so as not to carry those germs home with me. Growing up my mum taught us that cleanliness is next to Godliness. That being said I will be discussing the Dettol range of hand sanitizers, wet wipes and hand wash. Dettol is known for their protection of 99.9% of germs and this is certainly what appealed most to me. There are a number of Sanitizers and wet wipes on the market nowadays but Dettol is still my favourite I guess in this case you can put it down to Brand Loyalty.
So in all the Water Restrictions that Cape Town is esperiencing? Well my take on that is instead of washing your hands as often as you usually do opt to use Sanitizer or wet wipes to do your bit to save water, the small life style changes we make now will have an impact on our future no matter how small the gesture may seem.

Love the almond one. Only hand wash that doesn't dry my hands and it smells lovely. Great product! Only hand wash I buy.

Dettol has always been a staple in my household, after using it you know you are relatively safe from germs. Not only does it sanitize but also has a moisturising effect. I'm also quite keen on the refill packs.

Really nice sensitive hand wash that doesn't dry your skin.
Gently cleanses hands, it really is good if you have kids as it is antibacterial.

Sad thing is its quite pricy compared to other hand washes that ere the same size .

Love the refill pack and recently bought one with the added refil sachet for free to put in my guest bathroom.
Works well and smells nice.
Would prefer nicer initial bottle so it would work better with the refil.

When you have little feet in your home there is nothing better than a bottle of Dettol at every sink. I believe in Dettol, fights those germs! Great for the whole family and a bonus that most of them i have purchased have all smelt great too.

I love this handwash it does the job really well.

Worth the buy !!!

Funny Story, after numerous complaints about the disinfectant hand wash here at our workplace (its dries your hands out to a point where no moisturizer can fix the dry rough feeling), we were finally given this as a substitute. Its smells wonderfully fresh, moisturizes hands as well as disinfecting them, the pump is great and dispenses just the right amount of hand wash. It soaps up and rises off very easily, leaving hands soft, clean and lightly fragrant.

I bought this handwash cos i just got tired of washing my hands with soap all the time. A convenient pump or two is all you need with this and some water to get your hands clean, germ free and it has a good moisturising effect too. I just enjoy the amazing scent and as always dettol nevr fails to deliver on keeping its promises.
I was fortunate to get the pump plus a 250ml refill too!
