Did You Know…?

A few interesting beauty did-you-knows.

•Vicks Vapour Rub cures cracked heels. Simply pile it on your heels, wear socks and let the healing process begin!

•Vaseline or olive oil keeps your cuticles soft. Apply it every few days, and kiss the dry day’s goodbye!

•Put your perfume on first and then your lotion. Your scent will last longer!

•When applying facial moisturizer, be sure to circle pat upwards. Never pull down on your skin!

•It’s an oldie, but a goodie! Drink lots of water.  It keeps your skin hydrated.

•When you blow-dry your hair, don’t flip your head over to add volume. Push your hair forward from the back of the top of your head. That’s where you want the volume, not by the base of your neck!

•Face masks are your friend! Use one at least once a week. Go the natural route and make one with honey and dried oats. Let your skin absorb its goodness for about 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

•Want to make your eyes pop? Line your bottom lids by your tear duct with a nude eyeliner pencil. It will push out your mascara and make your eyes pop!

•Dry shampoo is a life saver! You can make your own with ½ cup baking soda and ½ cup corn starch. You can add a few essential oils for a fragrance if you wish.

•Egg whites can be used on burns to help the skin mend and lessen scaring. Who knew eggs were so handy?!

•Believe it or not, dabbing toothpaste onto a pimple is a quick and easy way to dry it out!

•To make split ends less noticeable, apply a heavy hair repair cream to lock in moisture before and after using a flat iron or a blow-dryer. Simple yet effective!

•To help reduce the swelling and redness that’s associated with painful ingrown hairs, use Witch Hazel. Nature at its best!

•Coconut oil will transform your hair from drab to fab!  It’s greasy, but a great, affordable hair treatment.
