I’m eternally on the hunt for a mascara that actually works for the pithy excuse of eyelashes I was blessed with (or wasn’t if you look at it that way). And finally, I have found my mascara Utopia…in the DiorShow 360 Mascara… a battery operated rotating device and all! It doesn’t come cheap…but boy is it a sexy little black number that actually works and is worth every cent!
Now I’m a bit of a techno-gal and love all things digital, electronic and technologically driven but never in a million years did I think that my make-up draw would ever have anything battery-operated in it…another draw maybe but not my make-up draw! I am also not a sucker for clever sales gimmicks and so I really gave the salesman at Dior (who is now my new hero) a hard time to prove to me why I should buy a mascara that rotates in two different directions when I’m perfectly capable of turning the barrel myself. Needless to say, I was totally convinced when I saw the transformation with my own eyes…and eyelashes! I’m now hooked, obsessed and can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror. I was also pretty chuffed when sales-hero-man told me that I was the first person in South Africa to buy the newly launched DiorShow 360, a pretty cool claim to fame!
So here’s the proof: I got to my office on Monday morning and my colleague looked at me in the middle of a meeting and blurted: ‘I’ve never noticed that you have such beautiful eyes!’ to which I replied, batting my eyelashes vigourously: ‘I’m SO happy you just said that, thanks, it’s the new DiorShow 360 mascara.’ My colleague is married, and a female; and Monday happened to be Valentines Day. Her comment made me feel so good I proceeded to ask her on a date (jokingly). True story.
For those of you out there, who like me, have thin and short eyelashes (and a sister who has beautiful ones), the DiorShow360 mascara is for you. It adds incredible length and volume and makes your eyes simply ‘pop’ – two or three layers are even better. Word of advice though, you’re going to want to look in mirrors a lot – just try not to do it around other people…they may start to worry about you!
Happy beautifying!
