Essence - Eyeshadow Brush

This was the first eyeshadow brush I have ever bought and it is definitely one I would recommend. It looks great and is quite effective. I love that it can be used for both applying eyeshadow and blending it. The thin bristles allow for precise application. However, I did notice that a one or two bristles fell out. But for the super-affordable price, it's worth it.

I LOVE is brush. It is an absolute must have. I have had mine for a while now and I recently bought 3 more. I helps you take your makeup to another level.

The Essence smokey eye brush was the first makeup brush that I bought from Essence and after using it I couldn't help but to invest in more brushes. I find this brush to be great for blending your eye shadow and applying eyeshadow to the crease of your eyelid and the outer corners of your eye.

I have nothing bad to say about this brush!

It is super cheap and gets the job done well. It is perfect for applying eyeshadow to the crease as it is quite thin. The bristles stay put and don't fall out as with other cheaper brushes.

I use this everyday and will definitely repurchase when the need arises!

I bought this as one of my first brushes and I have to say that considering the price, it is FANTASTIC quality! But this is true of nearly everything in the Essence range.

I love these brushes from Essence because they cost a fraction of what other popular brands do and are of high quality as well. When I use one shade of shadow I like using my fingers for blending but when I'm using more than one I use this brush, it is so great at blending . I have mine for a while and haven't experienced any shedding as would be expected considering the price. Essence is known for its quality products at affordable prices!

If you are looking for a cheap, mediocre quality multi purpose brush then this is THE ONE! great quality for a miniscule price and super easy to clean, not to mention the mind blowing price of R19.95!

I recently picked these up at Dischem and they were super cheap at R29.95 each
I got the pink and purple 1.
The pink is great for packing on your base colour all over your lid and the purple 1 I use to blend everything out and to add colour to the crease of my eye
They work really well and you'd never be able to tell that they were so cheap.
Like all of Essence's products, value for money and so worth it!
I haven't experienced any shedding so that's great

I bought these brushes because they were the cheapest Clicks had! I own two, a pink and purple one. They're high quality, and I've been using them for almost a year now. I think they cost around R30. It's technically a Smokey Eyes brush, but they work for any eyeshadow application. I even use it to apply foundation to my eyelids. Works perfectly. These babies are good to have around.

so i read about this brush. and decided to try it. It is really amazing. Very reasonably priced. It feels really soft on my eyes and i also find that it blends the shadows very well :)

I love these brushes! I bought the smokey eyes brush about a year ago and love how well it blends.

I have just bought the normal brush and it is really great at applying shadow to the crease as it is thin.

Pros:
- cheap (around R20 each)
- don't lose bristles
- keep their shape well
- smokey eyes is great for blending

Cons:
- can't think of any

I really love the way these brushes pick up colour and obviously they look great, but I find that when I try to use them for blending the bristles are just a little too stiff and tends to hurt my eyes if I'm not very careful. Very good for the price, but not perfect...

I agree with all the other reviews! Here is why I love this brush:
1) The price is awesome! I looked around a lot for brushes lately and the only eye shadow brush that came close to this price is Avon's at R29.95 and that is only a special for this month. Usual price is something like R59.95. Other eye shadow brushes goes up to R159.00...I mean seriously...on my budget? I don't think so!...and not even if I had the money to spend.
2) Essence products is high quality even though they don't break the bank.
3) This brush does the job well, cleans easily and lasts!
4) I LOVE the purple bristles!
5) Essence does not test their products on animals!

I love most Essence products.They are so affordable and of good quality.It puts other expensive brands to shame qhen it comes to price and quality.
I found the need to get an eyeshadow brush as I was doing a lot of make up tutorials and the brushes that came with the eyeshadow sets were not so good.I came across this one at Clicks and because of the price ( R20) I decided to give it a try before I could purchase anything more expensive.I was very pleased with the results I obtained from this brush.It made application so easy!It picks up just enough product and it's really soft on my eyes.Thumbs up for Essence once again!At the end I didn't have to look for another brush.

I love this brush, I dont want to spend a fortune on make so this is a perfect price and the brush is very soft and feels high quality. LOVE IT

I am in love with all things Essence, mainly for their affordability but they also have a great way of presenting products. Their brushes are a clear indication of this! I absolutely love the look of all their brushes, in their eye-catching and funky styles. I have to admit that I would be a sucker for a complete, all-in-one brush set from them. However, they go on to blow me away with the quality of their brushes, they are all soft and perfect for blending.Comparing my name-brand brushes to my Essence brushes makes me embarrassed because I get the same (if not better) from Essence for a fraction of the price. A must have for any beginner who is looking for brushes!

This has to be the most affordable eyeshadow brush I've ever come across. I purchased it because I loved the sleek matte black handle with the bright purple bristles. I have the brush for over a year, and there's absolutely no damage to the brush at all, which shows the amazing quality of this brush. The brush can be used wet or dry and can help you achieve any look you want. I would really recommend you purchase this brush, it allows perfect application of eyeshadow without fail.

i adore essence brushes i own all of them as they are so affordable and really work well and as you mentioned the design is great. they currently only have 4 brushes in the range which i find rather limited and i really wish they would make a full range of brushes

I purchased a traditional eyeshadow brush and smokey eyes brush. These brushes cost only R19.99 each and therefore my expectations for them weren't exactly high. I mainly bought them because I loved the purple bristles and the design of the brushes appealed to me - Black handles with purple print (can you tell that I love purple yet!) Both brushes seriously surprised me!

The bristles are soft and pick up product very easily but the best part is that they actually transfer the powder when you apply the shadow to your lids. A lot of brushes I have tried in the past (that costs me a lot more money), did not transfer the eyeshadow to my lids as effectively at these do.

The brush fibres are sturdy enough to apply the shadow with precision but also have some play in them to allow you to easily blend the eyeshadows on your lids. All in all, these are fantastic and personally I can't wait to go buy the other brushes in the collection!
