Garnier Dark Spot Corrector Daily Illuminating Moisturizer

I bought this product after a recommendation from a friend, who swore that her skin has cleared up so much after using it.

So firstly I have combination skin, depending on the seasons. Right now in summer, I'm suffering with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I have blemish prone skin which is not sensitive.

I like that this product doubles as a moisturiser so I don't have to pile on one product after the other. It does lighten acne scars but very gradually after about 2-3 weeks of use. I haven't really noticed the evening out of my complexion but I love that it makes my skin feel soft. It has the common scent of vitamin C based products which smells odd, like a weak-ointment smell and some might not enjoy it.

I have noticed my acne scars fading though , so it does what the packaging states.

It is quite pricey but worth the try as different skins react to products differently. If you want to remove those light acne scars, i would highly recommend this.

When i saw the number of positive reviews on this product,i got encouraged to try it out.I have very oily skin and many dark spots around my eyes which some look like freckles but arent.So i got myself this product,this is my third week using this product but i wish i could see changes with my spots.But nonetheless,im pleased to say that my skin feels smooth,my skin tone is a bit even now and my skin is moisturized no more skin-flaking around my brow and forehead area and my skin has this lovely unexplainable glow .I'll continue using this product to see if there wont be any other changes on my skin.Overall its a good buy

I used this to lighten the area around my jawline which had post laser pigmentation! I had to use two separate foundations a shade apart at the outset to combat this problem! I'd say this product works as i csn now use the same foundation all over my face without looking grey or overdone!

i used this for 6 months i didnt find as much of improvement as i have with other products.it moisturizes skin well.it has terrible packaging tho. The tube just allows the cream to ooze out more than needed waste of product and therefore money.

This product is highly recommended to anyone that suffers from dark spots, age spots and blemish marks caused through acne.

In 4 weeks my skin was brighter and blemish marks were reduced.

It's a non greasy formula that easily can take the place of a moisturizer.

The game changing ingredient here would be the vitamin C as is known for its beneficial healing properties for the skin. It is really light comes in a nice squeeze applicator tube. It claims to visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots, age spots and blemish marks. Nice applicator tube

I've been using this product simply to eliminate those imperfections and would do almost anything to correct it. This was perfect to help make those spots on my face lighter and eventually disappear. With the Vitamin C ingredient it lightened those marks and made my skin feel smooth. Quick feel because touching the face often is looking for trouble. I know in a few weeks my marks will be something of the past.

I thought that this would dry out my skin as I have extremely sensitive skin especialaly around my eyebrows and nose region. This gave me the lightening results on my acne I had been looking for. I had to combine it with my normal day moisturizer, this could be because I was cautious about drying skin. However my skin will be ready for summer when the time comes, with just a few spots left to lighten.

This review is incredibly late but I was not sure if I should do it or not.

I received this product from Beauty Bulletin and I was very excited to try it. My skin was in need of some moisture and I had just run out of my regular moisturizer.
Upon using it for the first 3 days, I loved it. It smelled like citrus and it was light on my skin. It gave my skin a glow without making it look oily.

On the fourth day, I went for laser hair removal on my face. They told me it was safe to use my moisturizer and any other face products that I usually use.
I applied the moisturizer and I immediately ran to the bathroom to wash my face with cold water. My skin burned when I applied it.
I am not saying that it will not work for you but my skin is now too sensitive for this moisturizer.
Another point to note is the thou should clean the nozzle of the moisturizer often. If you do not, some sort of brown residue forms on it.

This product ABSOLUTELY works, I have noticed a significant improvement on the dark splotches on my face.

I went and purchased a back up yesterday, definitely a must have if you're looking for a moisturising, brightening and pore refining product; THIS IS IT!

My fabulous experience with Garnier Dark Spot Corrector started on the 2nd of May 2013. After much anticipation I could finally open my long awaited parcel to reveal attractive packaging that looks fresh and funky. The nozzle is hygienic and perfect for dispensing just the right amount of cream. After application one feels a slight cooling effect on the skin.

Initially I was rather concerned about allergic reactions as I have extremely sensitive skin but my fears were soon allayed as I started to notice a wonderful change in the overall appearance and texture of my skin.

My skin started to look smoother with refined pores, and the added bonus was a reduction in the appearance of the fine lines around my lips and eyes. My dark marks were slightly lighter after about a week with a youthful glow overall. My skin looked moisturized and my friends and customers started to comment on the appearance of my skin.

By the beginning of week 3 I was still happy with my skin although my darks marks were not as light as I would have liked but I was satisfied with the general look of my skin expecially when my beauty therapist commented on my "very good skin"! My husband was extremely impressed when he applied the cream to a pimple. After a day or two you could not see where this pimple was.

During the fourth week of using the "Miracle in a tube" I could see a difference in the colour of the marks with the exception of one very persistent mark on my forehead. I will continue using this product in the hope that prolonged use will eventually lighten all the dark marks completely. Garnier Dark Spot Corrector will become a definite regular on my shopping list. I am going to replace the rest of my skin care products with Garnier products suitable for more mature skin. Thank you Garnier and Beauty Bulletin for introducing me to a fabulous range of affordable skin care products that are really effective and use natural ingredients.

Sorry for leaving this review right to the very end, but I absolutely had to take the one month challenge, to see how this product really performed over a reasonable time frame and normal exposure conditions. So, it has been 1 month of diligently using the Garnier Dark Spot Corrector Daily Illuminating Moisturizer, every day and night and I must say I am very impressed with my results so far. I was determined to stick to my regime and not be lazy this time round as I wanted to obtain the awesome results I heard other people raving about. I know you can only get success with hard work and determination, but it certainly paid off.

I mentioned a number of these things already in my 2 week diary of progress in my blog, but here they are again. This moisturizer comes in a metal tube with screw top lid and a fine nozzle tip. It makes controlling the product very easy and avoids wastage as you could quite literally get every last drop out. Since the size of the tube is 50ml, it is very generous for the price. I haven't even used a third of it yet. It is very light textured, smoothes on easily and is rapidly absorbed. A citrusy fragrance lingers around for a while after use. You are left with skin that has refined pores and glows with radiance and health. Be sure to use a high sun protection factor during the day as this certainly leaves skin more sensitive than usual, due to the highly potent vitamin C. I discovered this the hard way, not through any fault of Garnier. The package is very detailed in its instructions and ingredients. This shows it is a well researched product. Many of my dark spots have faded and my skin is looking a lot more luminous and even toned. I cannot really say that this totally eliminated my problems but it certainly reduced the visibility of them by softening my complexion when used.

Will continue with this until the tube is finished in another 2 months or so as Garnier promises you will see real results then or your money back! Living in anticipation...

I started using GARNIER DARK SPOT CORRECTOR, did notice after a few days my skin was feeling a little dry, so I applied my usual day crème on top and my skin felt comfortable
I have noticed an improvement of texture, radiance and glow to my skin as well as some dark placed on my skin being lightened

I have been using this moisturiser for over a week, and my skin is glowing and I am starting to see the difference already.

I have been using the product for over two weeks and blogging too. Of course I am late with my review but still, I thought what the heck.
I really liked the product. The feel, the texture, the fragrance, the packaging too.
It moisturised without leaving a disgusting oily residue, which I really appreciated.
All in all, its a great product but it takes time to work as do most products.
The price is great, affordable and it does what it says even if it takes a while. I would recommend it for winter especially, since it has that perfect moisture balance.

I'm not unimpressed, but I feel like I should have seen more of a difference over the two week trial.

I was scared trying something new on my face, not knowing what the results might be. To my surprise i had no negative effects on my skin, my blemishing marks started to appear lighter within the first two weeks, my friends could start to notice the results within the first fourteen days. i can say with confidence that i can walk in the street now without any make up.

Garnier Dark Spot Corrector really works and results can be seen after two weeks of use. I find this product easy to use, the application is clearly stated on the box.

I highly recommend Garnier Dark Spot Corrector to every woman with pigmentation problems. Garnier Dark Spot Corrector moisturizes my face and lightens dark blemishes and leaves my skin feeling soft and well nurished.

It's a great product that works slowly over time. Give it a chance and be persistent in your daily routine.

I love the packaging, the lovely fresh scent and the fact that the formulation absorbs quickly into my skin without leaving a residue. I actually found that it couldn't be used as a stand-alone product in my case, as my skin felt too dry and taut. Under my normal moisturiser it did a fabulous job of improving my skin's tone and texture.
What I noticed in the two weeks of using it: My skin texture improved, my pores look more refined and the tone more even. I felt more confident going without base make-up and primer! I even did my video review without my normal warpaint on LOL.
I even developed a PMS spot which healed up in far less time than it usually takes.
What I didn't find was a reduction in my dark marks, but I know that they promise good results could take place in just four weeks and for the best results it should be used for a period of twelve weeks, so am going to keep on using this product to try and achieve those results!

I am still delighted and happy with my skin. The dark spot on my forehead is slightly lighter (maybe only because I want to see a change!!!) My husband has commented that my skin does look more even toned with less obvious marks. My skin also has less fine lines and the elasticity has also improved which was a bit of a worry for me as I am in my fifties. I am going to replace the rest of my skin care products with Garnier products suitable for more mature skin. Thank you Garnier for introducing me to a superior product.

When I first joined Beauty Bulletin on recommendation from an internet search, I was a bit suspicious that this might be a gimmick, as there are so many scams out there. I thought those who actually got items to sample were people who were on the inside and worked for the site and were using it as a medium to promote buying of brands that paid them. A site giving away full sized products for free, certainly there must be a a catch! Well I got an e-mail saying I was chosen to try and review the Garnier Dark Spot Remover but I didn't think too much of it. Secretly I was hoping I was wrong as I was in desperate need to undo years of damage to my skin. Imagine my surprise when my product actually did arrive at the post office with no bill attached to it. I was amazed that all I had to do was a simple blog and product review. Good or bad I was to just tell it like it is. Pretty impressive and with that said I must extend my thanks to Beauty Bulletin for keeping it's promise. Five stars to you as there are not too many places in South Africa giving away freebies like these without a tall order.

The Garnier Dark Spot Corrector is an amazing product. It comes in a package that is intricately detailed with information on how to use it and how it works. It has a very professional look and feel to it. The tube is metallic allowing easy, controlled dispensing and the almost serum like moisturizer has a fresh, clean scent to it. I am so glad that I got to sample this as I would not have believed it was effective. As you can probably see I am very sceptical about false claims and promises made by brands trying to lure individuals into spending their hard-earned cash on item that does not live up to expectations. The great thing about this product is that it is suitable for just about any skin type. I have dry, mature, sensitive skin and this helped nourish and rejuvenate from within leaving an instant glow. My pore size was instantly reduced and my skin looks well hydrated and firm. Initially it did sting a little bit but I think this is just the active ingredients doing their thing. I decided to give it a go for the required period of at least a month and I am sure glad I did. Like the Shakespearean character Lady Macbeth, I kept mumbling to my spots with the line "Out, damned spot! out, I say!" and Voila, almost like magic, for a change something actually happened. My spots (and I have acquired all types over time) are definitely less visible without magnification and intense scrutiny. I think though maintenance is the key to good results and I am happy to continue buying to see a long term solution. Thanks Garnier for a wonderful solution as I am sold! The high dosage of vitamin C seems to have done the trick it seems.

I am now on my fourth week using the Garnier product. The dark marks on my face have lightened and looking better but are still visible without foundation. The mark on my forehead is still not lightening at all. I am happy with the way my skin is looking at the moment. The pores are nice and refined, skin is looking bright, glowing and moisturized. Will continue using the product in the hope that prolonged use will eventually make the persistent marks dissappear!!

I have been using my Garnier dark spot corrector everyday my skin is well moisturized and appears brighter but i have very dark marks around the mouth area and it still looks the same. i love the smell

My skin is starting to look more even coloured except for one very stubborn spot on my forehead. I was extremely pleased when my beauty therapist complimented me on my "very good skin" earlier today. This product will definitely be on my monthly shopping list. My husband was also impressed after applying it on a pimple. After two applications you can hardly see where the pimple was! Well i went to the post office today and what a pleasant surprise!! Garnier Dark Spot corrector! I was impressed that not only have i been blessed with a freebie but with a spot corrector! Exactly what i need to try rectify my facial marks which has really lowered my sel esteem. Looking forward to using this product in the days that lie ahead! Holding thumbs that my skin can be restored to beauty again! As the days go by i will rate the product accordingly!

I have been using this product for the past 7 days...I like the feel of it on my skin and although my skin is VERY sensitive it has shown no adverse reactions. My skin feels a little smoother but there does seem very little difference in the few dark spots. I will keep on using it though and see if there are significant results later on.

Still loving this product, my skin is soft and smooth to the touch, dark splotches are slowly but surely getting lighter. Foundation just glides on, my skin has a nice healthy glow to it, friends have commented on how healthy my skin looks..

My skin is looking brighter and starting to look more even toned. Normally my skin feels dry and tight during winter but I am extremely happy to say that my skin feels amazing, moisturised and glowing.

Product helps with my pimples, for some reason, it seems to not make my skin oily, but it tends to keep my oily T-Zone dry.. almost like ive applied powder. Previously, I used to apply powder, but since im mixing my foudation (liquid) with a little bit of this Garnier Dark Spot Corrector, my T-Zone has been less oily, which is great!! ;-) Also, pimples that do appear, dont seem to last long, as I apply the dark spot corrector every day.

Its works wonders, It helped me with my dark spots ,uneven skin tone and removal of clusters of tiny warts underneath my eyes in 1 week. I am going to keep using this product, It also keeps my skin moistured and not oily.Thank you beauty bulletin for introducing me to this product.

I have now been using this product for three weeks. My skin looks glowing with definitely less fine lines. The pigmentation marks on my skin are slightly lighter, but I still can't go without foundation to cover up.

So ive been using this product for two full weeks now, and i found that with all the positives about it i found two negatives.. firstly; the dark spot corrector does not contain any SPF, which for me, is crucial so i end up mixing some day cream of mine, which does contain an SPF, that gives it that `wow` factor i want! SPF is key ladies, whether its summer or winter and dont forget it.

secondly, because ive been using this product frequently for the past two weeks, ive noticed a kind of build up on my skin, which leads me to wash my face more than often.. although i must add this product is very moisturing, when used, only a little is needed..

This product is worth EVERY penny it costs!

After just a few days of using this my skin is softer, smoother, pores are refined and brighter; even the hyperpigmentation is lightening. I'm very happy with this, it features as a staple in my skincare regimen.

After cleansing my face and toning in the morning; I apply this all over my face, wait a couple of minutes then apply a 2nd layer on the dark spots, wait a bit then go on with my makeup.

I still cant get over the generous amount in the tube, it will last me for ages

I received my garnier yesterday and when i applied it, it burned a bit, i have sun pigmentation and very unevern skin tone. I truley hope this product can help me will keep you posted

People, this morning I received an awesome complement saying my skin looks so nice and moisturised but also with a glow, and got asked which foundation I used..

I replied, no foundation, Ive just been using Garnier Dark Spot Corrector, for the past two weeks, but clearly the results speak for themself!..
Once again, this product gives my skin a glow, but not too much of it, and at the same time, it helps with my oily T-Zone, which Ive been struggling with for a long---time. Love it! Definitly worth a try!

I really love the product. The smell is still heavenly and my friends and customers are starting to notice a difference in my skin. My skin has regained that glowing youthful look that you only find in young skin. My pores are refined and my skin looks moisturized even though I normally use a moisturizer for mature, very dry skin. I have also started to apply some of the cream on my hands. The dark spots are slightly lighter, but still a far way from completely gone.

So i have been using the dark spot corrector for about 5 days now...

First impression:
After using it for the first time i noticed my skin felt a bit sticky though the smell was so fresh and pleasant. It could've been due to my toner... Though, i did notice a slight brown tinge to my skin after a while .... i suppose the vitamin C was oxidizing on my skin... However i now use this cream at night only and by morning i feel as tough my skin is so much smoother.

I have pustular acne and i noticed that spot corrector has completely dried them out !! :) i am so pleased at that.

I haven't noticed any change in the marks as yet but it has made certain parts of my face brighter and my skin smoother :)

Totally hate the packaging :( a more softer squeezable plastic tube wouldve been better,.

So overall I love it for drying out my acne :)

I just received my Garnier Dark Spot Corrector in the mail and started using it immediately. I have blemish marks on my face and neck as well as very dark circles under my eyes and hope that this product will make it appear lighter. The only thing that bothered me when I first applied it was that it burned a bit. The product left my skin feeling soft and oil free as well after applying it for the first time.

Very impressed! No irritation due to product, which is a first for me, especially where highly fragranced such as this product is concerned (need I mention I absolutely love the fragrance of Garnier Dark Spot Corrector ;-) ).

Fine lines around my eye area appear to be reducing and are kind of getting minimal.. Not too mention the dark kind of marks/bags i have under my eyes.

Im impressed, by this product and even take it with me to the office, for touch ups during the day, and the pointy nozzle means no messing and hence, an added benefit for those quick touch ups! ;-)

I am very impressed with this product. My skin looks smoother, the pores are more refined and my skin looks as if it is glowing. I have also noticed that some fine lines around my eyes and lips are slighly reduced. I cannot really see an improvement in the pigmentation yet (I am very hopefull still!!) I will continue using this "Hope in a Tube" cream.

T have finally received my parcel in the post after tracking it for days!! Thank you Garnier and Beauty Bulletin. The packaging is attractive with fresh and happy colours. The nozzle is great to prevent any wasting of precious cream. You experience a slight cooling effect on the skin just after applying the cream. I am a little worried about any side effects as I have a very sensitive skin but I so badly would love to say goodbye to Spot the Dog!!

I received my Garnier Dark Spot Corrector on Friday, and have been using it since. Thanks BeautyBulletin and Garnier, from the get go - I was impressed by the generous size - 50ml. This products packaging with its mix of yellow, green, white and a touch of silver is so enlighting and brings out happy tones ;-) The application of this product onto my skin is smooth, and its really not oily, which is a plus for me, since I already suffer from an oily T-Zone (so it already gets a plus from me for that)!
The products pricing is more geared towards the lower to middle income class, considering that theres other dark spot corrector manufacturers out there with some hefty prices attached- so thats product is easily accessible to most women who`s experiencing dark spots, age spots or even just blemish marks. Something that stood out for me is the amazing fragrance, whooohooo.. the smell is heavenly, although i should warm those with sensitive skin especially where fragrance is concerned, it might be over-bearing for you. I cant wait to see the results, Ill be video recording the next week of using this dark spot corrector, and ill post my video and results thereafter, overall till now, the product has been nothing but awesome! ;-)

I received my first ever product yesterday and started using it immediately ... Super Exited!!! Now I have to state that I don't have a lot of skin issues, just that I have some dark spots after the birth of my first child and also I tend to be in the sun waaaayyy tooo much. And I have a 10 week old baby now, so the hormones did take its toll.
I used the product for the first time last night and again this morning. First impressions (as I have a very sensitive skin and are always a bit weary what I put on my face), this is great. I incorporated it easily with my other products and I definitely did see a glow to my skin, even from the first application. It is super absorbent and did not irritate my skin at all. I am eager to see if this will take care of my dark spots, ageing and sun exposed skin ...... still very excited about this product!!
