I must admit I wasn't at all buying into the claims of this product but I'm glad I was proven wrong this time. I got myself this over the weekend , proceeded to remove my make up with it with some cotton balls and was elated at the fact that I did not have to rub to get the make up of!! It just glided off onto the cotton balls . I used it under my eyes as well because it's water based and at first I wasn't comfortable doing that because I have a very sensitive under eye but glad to report that it left my under eye skin feeling soothed and refreshed, not to mention cleansed!

A couple of cotton balls later ,not a trace of make up was left behind and I was staring at squeaky clean skin in the mirror . After use it doesn't leave any residue behind which is a bonus .

This is really great value for money because it's affordable and going to Last you a while ,plus it a pretty fantastic cleanser!

This Miscellar water has been hyped and hyped and I'm so glad I bought it. It has been compared to the Bioderma water.

The Garnier water states that it has up to 200 uses and I definitely believe that. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it has hardly made a dent in the bottle even though I feel like I squirt out so much (by mistake)!

A little of this product goes a long way, just use a cotton swab. I use it after make up (like a make up remover and it also removes waterproof makeup easily!) , after a long day (removes dirt and oiliness from the skin) , before bed (as a toner) ... So as you can see, it is very multipurpose! ...

I've heard that you can use it after make up and just go to bed, but I haven't tried that as yet.. I also have very blemish/acne prone skin and the Miscellar water did not cause my skin to break out which is a MAJOR PLUS!

I would recommend this to everyone!

And so Garnier South Africa has launched the New Pure Active Micellar cleansing water and I love a new a product release. The cleansing water is for Combination to oily and sensitive skin types which is always great which broadens the product to other skin types so I had to give this one a try.

I haven't always been a user of cleansers I preferred to use cleansing wipes but bonus for me the Pure active comes in wipes to. But I will say the Garnier pure active has totally changed my mind about cleansers. I really like this product a lot I loved the fact that is was for lips, face and eyes which a lot of wipes and other cleanses only have one function to remove one or the other. The Pure Active range has a few other 3 in 1 products which to me is amazing and space saving and so helpful.
Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water 400ml

Application and Usage I used cotton pads personal preference they are much more easier to use when removing eye make-up. Like is it called Cleansing water it really has the look and feel of water. I did like that it helps with spilling or using to much of the product. Results it removed my make-up and left my skin feeling light, fresh and cleansed really no rinsing needed.

Overall I will buy it again a great product to have and its a 2in1 it Cleanses and Purifies which gets a thumbs up from me and to add I didn't get any skin reactions at all because my eye area can be really sensitive. Its a big bottle 400ml equaling to to 200 uses but that depends on you, plus its a steal at R80 a bottle.

Ever since I discovered the amazingness of Bioderma micellar water, I've been an addict. I cannot live without one. I have to buy a new one BEFORE mine runs out, because that would be a catastrophe. (drama queen of note, I know)

However, the Bioderma one is almost R200 for 250ml, which is rather pricey, and I do use this every single day, twice a day. I heard whispers that the Garnier 'dupe' for it was heading our way, and I scoured Clicks and Dischem searching. And then one day I came across it at Clicks - R79.95 for 400ML!!!!!!!!

Now my skin is pretty sensitive, so I was a little nervous using a Garnier product, as I've had issues with them in the past, so I chose the pink bottle (suitable for even sensitive skin) and bought it.

I have to be 100% completely honest - I actually PREFER this to Bioderma! I find it more soothing on my skin, even if I rub a bit, it doesn't leave my skin red, and it takes off EVERYTHING, even waterproof makeup! This now has a permanent position on my bathroom shelf, and I have chucked my Bioderma in one of my bedroom drawers! It's THAT good.

I use this in the evening to remove all of my makeup, before going in with a cleanser, and honestly, my skin has improved so much since using micellar waters, it's crazy. If I have a particularly late night and am exhausted, I just use this on a couple of cotton rounds, and voila, I'm done!

This is just such a fantastic product.

This product was totally new to me. I have always used wipes to remove makeup or just simply cleanse my face. I found that using wipes did not guarantee 100% removal of makeup. So I would still have to wash my face after wiping most of the product off. So I had to test it out.

I already have sensitive skin and it is vital to make sure that all the make I have on is completely removed. I only wear makeup on weekends or for events but usually at the end of the night I'm too exhausted to even wash my face, hence the convenience of a wipe.

The first test Micellar had to go through was removing eye makeup. I had mascara and liner for the day and my mascara is so waterproof it usually only comes off the next morning with soap and vaseline. Micellar not only removed the product but my eyes didn't burn and they were not dry at all. I didn't need to moisturise either but I did out of habit. The next morning i didn't have any flaky bits of my mascara on my face and I didn't have racoon eyes either.

I had a full face of makeup on for an event and this was going to be the next test. I found that using the cleansing water with a cotton ball means you have to go through a lot of cotton balls. The strength of Micellars 'removing power' lifts the makeup instantly. So after just one swipe you can end up wiping the product around on your face. I would suggest cotton rounds. I only used three on both sides.

This is a fantastic product! It hydrates, it's ever so gentle, and if you have fussy skin like mine it does not have fragrances that will irritate the skin. If you love dramatic eye looks this product will wipe it away much faster than putting on the makeup. Did I mention it comes in a huge bottle! So your basically getting quantity and quality at an awesome price.

Buy it! its fantastic!

Ive used the gatineu and bioderma micellar cleansing waters before simply because they are more gentle and irritate my eyes less.
I wear waterproof formulations and makeup removal makes me look teary eyed and panda like.
This is gentle ;non irritating and clearly lifts makeup.i used 2cotton rounds on both sides but my toner round came up almost clean.made me wonder how effectively i was cleansing before.
Gentle cleansing minus the sting.try it for dry senstitive mature skins.younger skins can follow with toner for an added boost of freshness

So what exactly is micellar waters? Ok, so it is little round molecules in water that latches onto dirt and impurities and takes it off almost like you can imagine a magnet. Micellar waters are very gentle because it requires no rubbing at all. The dirt lifts off.
I have been using mine now for two weeks and I must admit, it works like a miracle. You just apply the product to a cotton round and wipe it on your face.
Since I have started using this product I have noticed that I use a lot more cotton rounds than I used to with other makeup removers, it is not a bad thing at all. It just shows me how much product it actually removes compared to other products I have used before.
In the bottle it looks like it has a soapy consistency, yet it feels nothing like that applied to my face.
It feels like water with a huge cleansing kick. And yes, it feels very refreshing after use!

Micellar Cleansing Water? Cleansing water? If you’ve never heard of the latest make up removal which has hit South Africa, carry on reading because Garnier South Africa has brought two different types of Micellar Cleansing Waters to South Africa to help us with easy make up removal and perfect skin cleansing in a flash. Let me introduce you to the latest in skincare on a budget… the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water which is safe enough for sensitive skin and Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water which is perfect for oily skin.

So lets get down to basics… what is Micellar Cleansing Water? According to Elle Online “Micellar Cleansing Water formula is made of micelles, which are tiny oil molecules which are suspended in a soft water, the micelles are attracted to dirt, grime and oil, and they draw out impurities without drying out your skin.” The idea behind the Micellar Cleansing Water is “rather than containing a foamy solution which strips your skin and leaves behind harsh chemicals, micelles cling onto the dirt and make up on your skin and dissolve them while leaving behind a glowy, hydrated finish.”

To me, I unfortunately had mixed feelings about this “cleanser’ because it seems like a lazy girl’s solution to make up removing. Despite the fact that I could wake up the next morning with skin that was broken out like crazy, I accepted the challenge and tested out the product over a week. On the first day, I removed my day time make up using the Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water, I wet a cotton pad in the Micellar Cleansing Water and begun wiping my face. I watched my make up melt off my skin, so calmly… three cotton pads down and my skin felt amazing.

My skin looked refreshed and so hydrated, it felt soft to the touch, but I wasn’t convinced just yet, I spent the rest of the week testing out the Micellar water. By the time I had completed my week of testing out the product, I’ll agree with Garnier’s statement “perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without vigorous rubbing or rinsing. A soothing formula without perfume to suit all skin types.” I was impressed, the product has a light gentle scent which makes you think of perfectly cleansed skin with a touch of that “fresh feel”, my make up was removed perfectly, including my waterproof make up without the panda eyes.

Although, my two favourite things about the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is definitely that it is perfect for sensitive eyes and skin, so there is no burning, irritating or uncomfortable skin after using the cleansing water, plus it comes in a 400ml bottle, which I find to be a HUGE saving because it is an “all rounder” cleanser for a fraction of the cost. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has quickly become an everyday cleanser in my cleansing routine, sometimes if I’m having a make up free day, I use the Micellar Cleansing Water to refresh my skin and give it some “life”. I’d recommend you get your hands on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as soon as possible, it’s a life changing product, you won’t really understand the hype until you’ve tried the product. The Micellar Cleansing Water retails at R79,99 and is available at selected Clicks Stores.
