There isn’t a great deal you can say about any shampoo to be completely honest. But…I like this one a hell of a lot. It smells so good, not overly honey-like or sickly sweet, but natural and clean, and I think the honey and royal jelly play a big part in keeping it pure.
The shampoo lathers up a treat which is personally what I love and always look for in a shampoo, as I find that I tend to get the best results from my hair with this kind of formulation. I’ve also found that a little goes a long way which again is something I really like from a shampoo, as you know that you’re getting your money’s worth for a start, which is never a bad thing in my book!
Onto the conditioner and balm…, I’ll talk about these both together as they are actually very similar in texture and result. The balm, in my opinion, is basically a much thicker version of the conditioner anyway, and so it seems pointless to use them both when showering.
I find that alternating between the conditioner and balm works best, and again they are both super moisturising and nourishing.
I would say that unlike the conditioner which is to be used every time you wash your hair though, you could get away with using the balm only once a week, or even once a fortnight as a more intensive treatment, and once left in for up to ten minutes, it leaves hair feeling super moisturised.
A note on the serum, again I really like this. It’s so light in texture and melted into my hair. I mainly use just one pump after a shower whilst my hair is still damp and then go on to blow dry. I don’t think it’s a heat protector as such…but it definitely doesn’t hurt to use this pre-blow dry, as I’ve found it helps to keep everything smooth and sleek. The texture of the serum actually reminds me quite a bit of John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease, so if you like that, then I think you’ll enjoy the Honey Treasures serum.
My hair has felt super soft immediately after drying, and I find that just a couple of washes a week is more than enough to keep my hair looking ok. It is in need of a bloody good cut, which I’ve been forgetting about booking for god knows how long, but straggly ends aside, I think that my hair has at least felt a lot better in recent weeks, and I believe that Ultimate Blends has played a big part in that.
I’ve been really enjoying the Honey Treasures range and think that if your hair is on the dry and damaged side like mine from too much heat and/or styling, then it’s well worth checking these out. They are such a bargain compared to high-end salon products.
I can genuinely and happily say though that I love this range, and my hair feels so much better and healthier since the first wash.
