I used to love colouring my hair. When I was younger, my hair colour would change every month, ranging from fiery red to berry purple. About 8 years ago, I decided (scratch that; the hairdresser decided) that I should go blonde. Huge change! But, I still wear my hair blonde to this day. And, I love it! I do get a bit bored sometimes and miss the days when I sported a new look every couple of weeks. There are some beautiful hair colour trends that I may consider trying though. Are you bored with the same old do? Which of these trends would you try?
Ombré is definitely still in this year. Ombré colour features darker roots where the colour gradually becomes lighter towards the ends. A very natural look can be created with this technique, especially when the roots are a more natural brown that fades to a dark blonde. What I also like about this trend is the fact that it does not require quite as much up keep as this ‘grown-out’ look doesn’t require touch-ups every couple of weeks. Score!
Ombré is also not limited to long hair.
If you want to try something similar to Ombré, but you prefer a more daring look, How about Dip Dye? Dip Dying is when just the ends of the hair are ‘dipped’ in colour, usually an outrageous colour.
Red is always in. Enough said!
Pastels are set to be big this year. Are you daring enough to try one of these pretty shades?
An unexpected trend that I came across is the colour Grey. Who would have thought that the colour most of us spend so much money on to try and hide will be the in-thing this year? Well, I say bring it on! Hopefully this trend will stick as it will be one that I will have to embrace in the years to come. Whether it’s shimmery silver or matte grey, it seems that we will be seeing loads of younger girls sporting this hair colour.
