Learn how to excercise your lips for a fuller pout. Read more about this beauty tip here!
I don’t know of many ladies who do not desire to have fuller, plumper, Angelina Jolie lips.
And some of you may even be blessed by being born with a perfectly plump pout.
But as we age, the skin and muscles of our lips begin to droop, and start to loose their fullness. So we can all benefit at some point in our lives from a regular exercise regimen for our lips. This will help to increase blood flow, reduce sagging skin and tone your lips’ muscles, giving your lips a more youthful, begging to be kissed, appearance!
Here are 10 easy lippie-robics exercises for you to try this month of love:
1.Start off by applying some lip balm, to make sure your lips are moisturised & well prepared to be manoeuvred and stretched into different shapes & positions, without the skin cracking from being too dry. (lubricate lubricate lubricate)
2.Find a comfortable spot to sit in front of a mirror, place your hands gently in your lap and breathe deeply for a minute to fully relax your muscles and encourage maximum blood circulation. As you breathe, consciously relax all of your facial muscles. Focus especially on releasing your jaw.
3.Open your mouth as wide as possible, stretching your lips as far as you can. Hold the stretch for a count of ten and then relax your muscles. Now press your lips together as tightly as you can, making sure your jaw muscles aren’t assisting in this movement, as you want to be working your lip muscles. Repeat both stretches 5 times.
4.Relax your lips and let them come back together naturally. Now smile as wide as you can without opening your lips. Hold the smile as you count to ten. (this should come naturally while you think of your Mr Grey) Repeat 5 times.
5.Bring your lips from the smile to a pucker, as if you’re going to give someone a kiss. Reach your lips outward, as if the lips you want to kiss isn’t quite close enough. Hold this position for ten counts. Relax and pull your lips inside your mouth to get enclosed within your teeth. Hold the position for a count of 10. Repeat the entire exercise five times.
6.Relax your puckered lips and now concentrate on moving them upwards towards your nose. This time, allow the pucker to relax as you move your lips upwards, rather than pursing your lips. Lift as high as you can and hold for 5 seconds. Relax and repeat five times.
7.Tightly close your lips and relax the face muscles. While keeping your mouth closed, move your lips to the right and then to the left. Thereafter, make a small eight with your lips. Repeat five times.
8.Take a deep breath and puff up your cheeks. Then roll up your lips into a tube. Breathe out by sharply pushing the air out with two-three blows, as your would to blow out a candle. Gently relax your lips and repeat five times.
Now for the last 2 exercises, I advise that you recruit your partner to… give you a hand 😉
9.Place your (or his) index finger (or any other suitable body parts) in your mouth and suck on it as hard as you can. You should feel the muscles of your cheeks and your lips contracting. Hold for 5 seconds, then slowly relax your mouth and remove your finger. Repeat 10 times.
10.Lastly, but by far the most fun… Lock lips with your partner for a good old fashioned make-out session!! Sex therapist and author Dr. Ava Cadell notes that “kissing can give you a facelift. We use over 30 facial muscles while kissing, which helps to keep muscles smooth and tight and prevents your cheeks from sagging.”
And if you do not have someone to help you with this last exercise, I’m sorry ladies, but kissing the back of your hand just isn’t going to give you quite the same workout (or be as much fun).
Use this beauty tip on a regular basis and create the perfect kiss!
