L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Milady

I was fortunate to receive this lip gloss as part of the Review Club. Have to say my initial reaction was WOW I LOVED the packaging, just looks so sophisticate and "hoity toity". I immediately applied it ... well my first impression was not that good. I didn't like the smell at all and I applied it but it just didn't work me. As it was a long day at work I thought I would wait and give it a try in the morning. About two days after that I tried it again ... second time much better! I now wear it on an almost daily basis! I love the colour, initially I found that it did not make an impact at all, however with trial and error I found that applying one layer, waiting about 30 seconds for it to set and then applying a second layer gives me the exact colour I like. It does glide on quite easily and what I like best about this lip gloss is that is is not a sticky business. It even passes the "hair test" - no wind blown hair sticking to my lips the whole day. I usually find that I need to reapply after lunch but that is quite normal. Overall I am now a big fan of the lip gloss because of its colour (the one I use is Eve - 400) and texture; HOWEVER in all honesty I still do not like the smell! This however does not last that long! So in conclusion, if you love the smell you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE this lip gloss, if you not a fan of the smell, it is still A GREAT LIP GLOSS.

SO I tried out this new lipgloss from L'Oreal and what could my eye was the beautiful looking packaging it's scream's sophistication Application is brilliant it's not like other lipglosses it's not think nor sticky which I hate. It smells yummy so fruity,what I also love is the fact that the color is very minimum as I am not a fan of overly colored lips I love nude lips, So this lipgloss is awesome in that regard.

The eye-catching gold packaging of the L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse is very beautiful and makes you look forward to a great product. This is a lip gloss and lip stain in one and this is probably the reason for the tear-drop shaped spongy applicator.

It gathers a good amount of product on it and the colour is very vibrant on the applicator. When I first applied it, I was expecting the heavy and thick sticky feel of normal lip glosses. But instead, it felt literally like I was applying water on to my lip. I was very surprised because the product looks thick, but feels very very ‘liquidy’.

I then applied on both the top and lower lips. On first application, the colour did not look like it had been transferred successfully onto my lips. But, the stick feeling of normal lip glosses came after a few seconds of application.

I was not satisfied with the deepness of the colour on my lips, so applied more of the Shine Caresse. Still, a bit of the colour was visible. But a few minutes later, I realised the colour was becoming deeper on my lips. After a few minutes, the true vibrancy of the colour became visible.

The colour and shine lasted for a couple of hours, but after lunch, the shine was gone, but the stain of the colour was still visible.

The L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse lip stain/gloss is a great product for anyone looking for a true long-wear lip colour. It is quick to apply and does not require the dual lip stain + gloss applicators that other brands have.
