Labello Fruity Shine Peach & Watermelon

I just recently bought this and I already love it! I don't wear alot of lipstick but I still like my lips to have a light tint and shine.

The smell is absolutely delicious I have to stop myself from constantly reapplying. Would definitely repurchase.

I've assumed that these new lip balms from Labello would be far too glossy but after reading the reviews and seeing the pics uploaded of them here I'm actually looking forward to going and purchasing them. Hopefully I find them before everyone else buys them hehe.

I've always loved Labello

These lil babies are my latest beauty besties. I love how smooth and moisturising they are, and also how they give a subtle hint of colour to the lips. Not to mention the mouth watering flavour! Pick them up at any Clicks store for only R18.

I absolutely love the peach one. Haven't managed to find the Watermelon one yet though.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!! It is like a lip ice and lop gloss all in one! My lips are not only moisturized and silky smooth, but they are shiny like i have never seen before. I love the watermelon best because it has a lovely aroma. My mom shared the lip ice with me as my besti is all the way in England, and even my 53 year old mom is inlove! Haha we are both definitely hooked and loving it

I have always adored Labello. While these two new lip balms are just as fantastic as always, I do find that they're not AS moisturising as a lot of Labello's other products. They still do a great job though and they smell delicious!

So I got the chance to review the new flavours of lip ice compliments of Labello and Beauty Bulletin. A big thank you for the awesome review gift!!

Let me get started. So as a girl who chooses lips over eyes, I was ecstatic when I heard I was chosen to add the new Labello Fruity Shine Peach and Watermelon lip-ices to my lip collection.

When I got my courier bag I knew it was BB before even looking at the sender details, however, not only did I get what I was told - I got more!! I got a second pair of the new lip-ices!! For my BFF...and that's none other than my sister :)

What made it even more personalized and special is that there was a little message on the separate packaged ices saying this one was especially for my BFF. I immediately thought of my sister and couldn't wait to give her a call telling her I had a lovely surprise for her.

As soon as I got home from work, I popped over by her place and gave her the package. Her smile immediately reached from ear to ear. She loved it!

That's when the fun started :)...

We immediately tried the ices (she the watermelon and me the peach) and snapped some pics.
I remember the first thing I thought when I applied it was "Wow, this stuff is so soft and smooth, and it's a lip-ice!". That was not all though...The smell is so divine - I could eat it!!

But no, I will not eat them lol. I completely love it! It also adds a tinkle of colour and glossy shine to my lips, which is awesome as I'm the kind of girl who needs to have some life added to her lips, and Labello Fruity Shine does just that.

Recently, I've been using it as a base before applying my usual Avon Vivid Violet lipstick. The results really are lovely.

I also love the fact that it's so versatile as I can use it on its own or opt for using it as a base - this way I know my lips will always be soft and supple.

In conclusion, each new Fruity Shine flavour is great and truly a must-have!! It proves to be of quality and has the following:

- Moisturises lips
- Adds a teency bit of colour
- Adds gloss and shine
- Smells divine
- Inexpensive
- Works as a great base

One just CANNOT go wrong with it!

I've been using Labello since I was in high school,so when I saw the new labello I had 2 buy it,en its affordable only 18rand frm pick n' pay.I bought 2 of them watermelon & peach.what love abt watermelon(my favourite)it gives yr lips. Endless moisture &sheer yet brilliant colour that works day & night fruity shine watermelon mhmmm its a exotic way 2 love yr lips,with coloured pigment that gives you long-lasting moisture & it leaves my lips soft & smooth(kissable lips) I just love labellob!

AH-MAZING. That is all I have to say about the Labello Fruity Shiny lip moisturizer...

Just kidding! I don't usually rave about products as you would see if you looked through my other reviews, but this product really took me by surprise. I've used Labello products over the years and to be honest, wasn't always entirely impressed as I found my lips dried out pretty quickly which meant I constantly had to reapply. Well dearests, Labello has definitely upped their game.

The Peach and Watermelon Fruity Shiny lip moisturizers are soo good. By good, I don't even mean good, I mean great. So let me go through each flavour with you:

Fruity Shine Peach:
Can we take a minute to appreciate the scent of this? Wow, it smells so good, like canned peaches in ice cream. The scent alone is enough to send your tummy rumbling as mine is now while I am typing this. It really smells so tasty it's sure to have people lifting their heads and wafting in the scent while you reapply it in public.
I find the peach flavour more shiny than the Watermelon flavour and more creamy. I am not a major fan of shine in lip products, but the shine in these are subtle and understandable, considering you are trying to keep your lips moisturised.
The peach flavour also has a mild tint of coral colour to it and may appear easily on lips that are lighter than mine as my lips are naturally pretty pink as they are.

Fruity Shine Watermelon:
This is by far my favourite out of the two. I know you just read me going on about the peaches scent, but the watermelon flavour just takes the prize in my opinion. When I was younger I used to take my R5 and buy a whole bag of Chappies Bubblegums and would always ask for Watermelon flavoured ones to be put in. When I received my Beauty Bulletin package and saw that I had received the watermelon flavour as well, I was really happy. The scent brings so many nostalgic memories back for me that I knew immediately this flavour would be my favourite.
The watermelon flavour is not as shiny, but moisturises just as well for HOURS. I can like, drink coffee, snore with my mouth wide open at night or take a brisk walk in the chilly mornings and my lips STAY MOISURISED. Can I get a glory hallelujah?
The watermelon flavour has a lovely pink tint so it brightens up your lips just a little bit for if you want to wear eye makeup, but don't want to leave your lips looking naked and unfinished.

All in all, Labello's new range is a great essential to have in your handbag, gym bag, pocket, desk drawer, socket cupboard and just about any other place because I feel the need to explain how badly you need this in your life. Yes, I suppose it is just lip moisturiser, but your lips are really important! They're the guys that endure all that talking, the guys that make true love possible, the guys that hug your food before it goes into your mouth...you understand how important they are now? Let them feel loved. Lips LOVE Labello.

So I received 4 adorably cute fresh and fruity balms, yummy watermelon and peach flavours, 2 for me and 2 for my BFF.

The packaging is so cute with yummy fruity images, which makes me think of hot summer days. It’s a twist up easy to use cute tube, so it’s easy to carry on me where ever I go.

It has a lovely creamy and soft texture so it glides smoothly over my lips. I have super dry lips and these lip-balms with hydra IQ are extremely moisturizing. I love it!!!I apply it regularly so that my lips remain soft and smooth, ok ok and also because I just can't get enough of the deliciously fruity watermelon and peach scents!!!

I love that they give a pretty colour to my lips with shades of pink from the watermelon and coral from the peach. Also they add such a lovely shine leaving my lips so glossy and luscious!!!Shimmer Shimmer all the way, throughout the day!!! :)My favourite is the peach because the smell is divine!!!

I have used so many lip-balms but I love love love these fruity shines, an absolute must have!!!My friend completely agrees with me!!!She says it’s such a delicious treat and a caring one as well!!!

Yummy fruity scents, long lasting moisture, pretty colour, and glossy kissable lips, plus they really affordable!!!...

Just in time for summer

Yay so excited one of my FAVOURITE lip balms has launched two summer fruity balms in sweet Peach and fun Watermelon.

I’ve always been a fan of Labello lip balms, and their new Peach and Watermelon is right up with the rest. I mean Labello Strawberry is like a staple in my everyday handbag, so no wonder I was really impressed with the new lip balms. A favourite of the two has to be the peach but that’s just a personal preference but I will tell you a bit more in my review.

1. Peach Labello balm:

My favourite of the two the scent especially caught attention for some reason it reminded me of Beechies chewing gum, a favourite when I was a child so big bonus points to Labello on that loved it.

As for colour just like their other fruity counter parts they gave that subtle yet noticeable colour to your lips, the Peach Labello gave you that Nude/peach natural lip colour with a glossy finish perfect for summer days and nights.

2. Watermelon Labello Balm:
Honestly for some weird and odd reason I do not like to eat watermelon, but I simply love watermelon products and sweets. And the Watermelon Labello is my kind of product.

The colour of the watermelon is great if you looking for a subtle pink tone to your lips no need to worry it is not a strong as the Cherry Labello which is pumped full with colour. It is much more subtle on your lips.

Application for both is the same it just depends on your preference of how much product you want on your lips, it is as easy that. Which is a great factor that Labello offers you, you don’t need too much product on your lips to get that affect, bonus to give me moisturised lips. But for best results you should apply daily.

And overall review of the Lip balms each one contains shimmering pigments, which is great who doesn’t love some sparkle and shine. Only downside would be no SPF protection which I understand because of the shimmering pigments. But nonetheless I still loved using them every day since receiving them, great colour and scent choices for summer. The key ingredient of Hydra IQ within the innovative formula keeping your lips looking good.

Most of all I love how Labello lip balms feel they don’t make your lips feel heavy or feel as if you wearing some much product on your lips. Labello gradually blends into your lips leaving you with healthy and smooth lips, a great base to keep your lips healthy moisturised for those of you want to wear your lipsticks out and about.

And if you are the kind of person that doesn’t really like the feel of lipstick on your lips, Labello lip balms will give you that natural and subtle colour you desire.

Overview: I was very excited to try these new additions to the labello range and was even more surprised and excited to receive 4 whole labello's for me and my bestie.

Effectiveness: I found that the labello lip balm did not last very long on my lips, t is very light wearing and will disappear very quickly from your lips. I still prefer the old thick and non-shiny formula that really lasted on the lips and thus I found this new range not very durable. This new range is like very weak petroleum jelly that constantly needs to be reapplied.
Smell and Taste: I love the two new flavours and my 10 month old loved them so much she decided to take a bit out of my watermelon one. The smell and taste is very fruity and fresh and just screams summer.
Packaging: The packaging has not changed drastically from the old range except for the curve on the cap and I still find it very pretty and colourful.
Shine factor: I was disappointed with the shine factor as that is the main focal point of the new labello range and it was more a natural moisture look instead of any shine.
Other Uses: I found that it worked very well with my lipstick though and prevent it from caking and added shine to my lipstick if I used it as a base before moisturising.
Recommendations: I would recommend labello to anyone looking for a quick lip moisture fix for lips but it is not very useful for people who suffer from dry lip syndrome like me and my bestie also gave the same recommendations.
Colour: I did not get any colour from applying the lip-balm as I do from other labello products in the past and I found this somewhat disappointing but it is a lip-balm and not a lipstick.
Closing: In closing I did not become besties with my new labello but I did enjoy trying it and will keep it in my bag as a back up lip moisturiser.

The cute, colourful and playful packaging really gives you a summery feel. The delectable scent of these lip balms is amazing and envelops your senses with a tropical paradise rush.

The Fruity Shine Watermelon is my favourite scent mainly because I love watermelons. The Fruity Shine Peach is also fantastic! Lip balms are great way of keeping your lips in mint-condition otherwise lipstick will not look so good.

My verdict:
These lip balms apply smoothly and easily on to the lips. The Watermelon leaves a delicate pink tint whilst the peach applies almost sheer on my lips. These balms are super-moisturising leaving lips soft and smooth. My lips felt moisturised for longer and the reapplication is a pleasant experience. I am definitely going to purchase the other fruity flavours. My handbag has definitely found a new BFF:)

Its Day 8 with my new friends > Labello Fruity Shine Watermelon and Fruity Shine Peach. On day 1 when I first wrote the first review, I knew I liked it already somewhat liked it yet it was only fair to give it a chance in out performing itself or discourage my vote!

The first I noticed after opening my new package is the sweet smell. Yes the beautiful colorful and attractive packages, will match any of my summer outfits :)
I have been sharing these amazing lip balms as much as I can and now the reaction I get before I open my mouth is, "Tidi may I please use your lip balm!" - so yes the impact has been on those around me as well....Labello has a ripple effect!

I never imagined that a lip balm could give me so much effectiveness as I always was a lip-gloss lady. Here and there, I would complain about some brands 's lack of effectiveness though they come with a heavy price to pay. Labello has honestly turned my world around, they are just so fruity and fresh and also provides a nice dose of hydration thanks to the highly effective care formula with Hydra IQ which has been much-needed on my dry chappy lips - it reminded me about "granma 's old Vaseline secret!".
I am in love with the Watermelon flavour with its subtle light pink shint tint to it whilst the Peach has a light coral shiny tint hence the name fruity shine. Somehow old memories are triggered, I remember the good old days as a little girl on my grandparents farm when my grandpa would harvest watermelons and share it amongst the many grandchildren that have come through for school holidays. He never cut the watermelons but would break it apart by banging it gently on the ground, then we would all wash our hands and dig in. Labello is as sweet and gentle as those innocent memories :)

The flavours, unlike other lip balms, do not seem artificial at all and there is no doubt that they are the scents that are advertised on the packaging.

Even after purchasing another lippie due to leaving my fruity pair in another bag, I craved the scent and taste of them. They are definitely everyone's summer essential for your handbag, so get yours today.

Words cant decribe how much i love them! not only does it have a scent to literally crave for but it does what it promises! It moisturizers my lips soo well , leaving them soft and smooth. Whats better to ask for ?!.

The Labello Fruity Shine in Peach is the one in which i reach out most to. It has a marvelous scent which kind of reminds me of the Tropika juice in peach. It has a slight Pigmentation which leaves a natural look . It is my go-to lipbalm in this humidifying weather and boy has it got me hooked!.

The Labello Fruity Shine in Watermelon is amazing aswell!. It smells so divine and the scent is very genuine . Just like the Peach it is super moisturizing leaving you with soft , smooth , sexy , kissable lips! The pigmentation of this is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l ! Its not a bash of bright pink but a very soft coralish type of pink - super cute when going on a fabulous date out with the girls or a loved one.


Both lip-balms contain Hydra IQ for your lip benefits! Trust me your lips will seriously thank you once you apply the lip-balm , mine did! Those of you who are firmilair with Roaccutane know that it gets your lips to the driest it has ever been , im one of those unlucky people who are on Roaccutane and the labello was like a product sent down directly from heaven.

Just as much as I love the products my friend did aswell!she describes them as "angels playing in heaven" her favourite is the Watermelon because she loves how it reminds her of summer.

I have always loved labello but some how never managed to buy one for myself, maybe I found the price way intimidating or I didn't believe it would really help my dry lips very much? Anyway, immediately after receiving my lovely labello fruity shine, I got rid of all my lip products, straight to the bin. Out with the old and in with the new. I received 2 variants, one in watermelon and one in peach and just over the weekend, at the carwash I discovered a lady using the cherry variant. She seems to be totally taken by labello; I guess that is why there was not much left in the tube. She even told me her son uses it too cos its sooooo moisturising and keeps his lips soft lol

Anyway, I was super excited to start using my labello and immediately ripped open the packaging. This is my full review after 5 days of use:

Just peachy about peach!
I am going to say it right here and right now, between the two labellos, the peach is simply my favourite. I use this one every day, even at night beacuse:
it smells incredible. I find myself open the tube almost every 5 to 10 minutes just to smell it, have to stop myself from taking a bite out of it because I just cannot get enough of it. Its incredibly moisturising and what a lovely glow and shine my lips have the whole day. I cannot do without my peach, simply cannot!

I just cannot say the same for watermelon, I do not share the same kinda feelings. Although its also very moisturising and smells great, It just doesn't do it for me like the peach, nope! But, there is hope for watermelon yet cos my bestie loves watemelon!

So, my bestie was incredibly excited when I surprised her with 2 great shades of labello as a gift. She immediately fell in love with watermelon and when I asked her how, she replied: 'I love the colour. Its so unique and fresh. I am sure I am going to love using it.' Lip ices have always formed a staple base product in my makeup routine, and I always carry them in my handbag wherever I go. I was absolutely thrilled when I received my package from Beauty Bulletin, as I was chosen to review two of the new fruity shine lip ices - Watermelon and Peach. And not only was I chosen to review these products, but I was also given two extra lip ices to share with my BFF! So thank you Beauty Bulletin and Labello for being so amazing!

I decided to share with my younger sister Julie, who was immediately ecstatic with the news. We both got to testing out our products that same day.

My sister Julie had the following comments to say: I love Labello! I always use lip ice before applying lip stick. My favourite of the two is the Watermelon. It adds a pink colour to my lips, and I don't actually need to wear lip stick but can just wear the lip ice on its own. It leaves my lips feeling smooth and shiny.

My own comments about the products are as follows:

I personally love both the Peach and the Watermelon lip ices. The Peach gives off a great peachy smell, which I just cant get enough of. I literally want to just have a bite of it because it smells so enticing. Every time I take it out my handbag I have to first have a whiff before I apply it! It adds a coral colour to the lips.

The Watermelon lip ice I find to be more pigmented, and leaves more of a sheen to the lips than the Peach. This lip ice is a pink colour. The smell of the Watermelon is slightly more subtle than that of the Peach.

So technically I cannot choose between the two. The Peach has the best smell that I cant seem to get enough of, whilst the Watermelon has a great pink sheen to it. Both of these products live up to the Labello name, and do the brand justice.

So say goodbye to dry chapped lips this summer, and buy yourself some Peach and Watermelon lip ice from the Labello Fruity Shine range! Your lips will be left feeling soft and smooth, smelling fruity and looking great!

If I was told that I had to make a decision and choose just one… and only one beauty product that I cannot live without, I’d have to say that, that product would have to be my lippy!! I love my lip products!!

I feel that your lips make a big impact when you first meet someone and we use our lips to form words to communicate. They show a lot of emotion and people are often drawn to a person’s smile. A smile is contagious and an asset, so why would you not want to look after it?

Here are some of the things that I have found since trying the new Fruity Shine Peach and Watermelon Labello: firstly I asked myself how did it smell? ... When I first opened up the packaging of the Watermelon lip balm and breathed the scent in, I was welcomed by a lovely, fresh, delightfully fruity and delectable scent. It smelt just like watermelons and that is a smell that I am so fond of. The smell triggers pleasant memories associated with the scent. It reminds me of hot summer days and of my childhood. I can see myself with a slice of watermelon in hand loving every juicy bite of it!! I could smell it forever and never get tired of it!! I often look for beauty products that smell like watermelon (body wash, facial scrubs, hand soap, etc.) as I think it is such a refreshing and revitalising scent… it awakens all your senses and leaves you feeling alive and fresh. So perfect for the summer and hotter weather!

The Peach is just as delightful! Its aroma is sweet, fruity, pleasant, soothing and so heavenly!! Ive been captivated by the deliciousness and transported to my happy place! There is nothing better than being reminded of all the lovely experiences and charming memories that summer has to offer. I see long warm days tanning out in the sun, refreshing swims in clear blue sparkling pools, lots of laughter and fun in the sun! It’s so enchanting and filled with endless possibilities… I am dreaming of the summer!! I am in love! Labello certainly has created two delicious smelling lip balms!!

How does it feel when applied to my lips? The Labello glides over my lips. It’s incredibly soft and smooth and it feels as if it just melts on your lips. It’s as if it becomes part of your lips. It’s so lightweight and absorbed into your lips leaving them looking hydrated and glossy... there also is a slight tint of colour and shimmer which makes your lips look full of life. The lip balms are so soothing and feels amazing on my lips… They feel and look incredible!!

Both of these new Labello’s left my lips feeling loved and in an amazing condition… they were not just smooth, but velvety smooth! My lips have never felt this good and really needed this after the winter months!

I adore the new packaging. The funky cool look on the packaging is eye catching and something that I would definitely be drawn to in the shops. I love the colours used. The pink is so girly and pretty… perfect for any lady and the orange is fresh, fun and flirty. Both of these colours and designs are so unique and retro looking with a funky vibe… the little details and designs on the tube reinforce the whole summer feel.

I also love the new shape of the tubes… the wider tube and slandered top just looks and feels better in your hand. There was nothing wrong with the old shape, I just prefer this one more!! It fits nicely into your hand and I love that it is small enough that it fits into your pocket… So I can have it on me at all times. I actually love these new flavours so much that I went out and bought another two!! I now have them in certain places all over the house ? I have one in my kiddies nappy bag/my hand bag so I can take it out with me; the car; my makeup bag and in the drawer by my bed!

From the very first application, I could feel a difference in my lips… Even after my lips have absorbed all the Lip balm, they still feel incredible and silky soft. I couldn’t ask for anything better! I find myself applying it throughout the day because I just love the smells so much and obviously the way my lips are left feeling. Labello lives up to its promise of being long-lasting with intense moisture! My lips are so happy and definitely hydrated. All the moisture that I had lost from the colder months has been restored! My hubby has even made a comment on how he likes the way they smell… so no complaints there!! ?

My daughter who is three loves these new flavours and can’t get enough of them either!! She is a pro at twisting the tube and applying it and then twisting to close it... She keeps asking me for them… If my baby can manage this at her age, it just goes to show how user friendly it is!! We are both fans and I’m sure if I had to introduce it to my mom and gran when we see them that they would love them too!! Labello suits any age group!!

Labello also is great for any skin type… I have really sensitive skin and Labello has never left my lips burning or stinging… I have had this happen in the past with other brands but never with any of the Labello variants. Labello is so gentle and loving!! They definitely do love lips!!

From Day to Night… I can’t get enough!! The Peach is my absolute favourite and love the little pop of coral that makes my lips look fresh and flirty and love how they just shimmer in the sun! The Pink is flirty and fun and makes me feel bubbly when wearing it!!

What a fantastic surprise I got when I opened my parcel from Beauty Bulletin! I was expecting one Fruity shine and received 4, two for me and two for my bestie! How awesome?!

I however decided to share it with 3 friends and kept the Fruity Shine Peach for myself as that is the one I really desperately wanted to try and I absolutely love it! My lips are soft, stays moisturized for ages, slightly tinted, shimmery and I absolutely ADORE the scent! The packaging is fun, colourful and most definitely attention grabbing, I love the colouring.

So my LABELLO lip balms arrived and the thoughts that sprang to mind when I opened the package were, Summer, Flavour, Coulor, Kissable lips. So I gave them a test drive. My lips couldn't have been happier (judging from the endless kisses from my partner). I'm not sure whether it's the fruity scent that he finds irresistable or just my soft lips. (Whether former or latter or both, i'm not complaining). I love the fresh, colourful feeling that the Peach & Watermelon LABELLO's give my lips, not forgetting the softness that it gives them. whether suited up at the office or on a day out at the beach, LABELLO Peach & Watermelon compliment me. It is now safe to say that LABELLO Peach, LABELLO Watermelon and I are BIRDS OF A FEATHER and we'll flock together. Joined at the hips (I mean LIPS) we are.

I love labello , it is my favorite lip balm and not a day has gone by where I haven't used it. The labello fruity shine peach is now my favorite labello lipbalm. It has a really yummy smell ( reminds me of tropkia peach). It softens my lips and keeps it moist for hours. I love the way that it gives my lips a shiny coral sheen .

Oh My word, I have been left *speechless* by a lip balm!

This review is going to be the most fun yet because this product has already set the standard so high that all that is going to happen is "Fun Fun Fun!!!". The moisture left on my lips has exceeded every expectation I thought I had. I always used lipsticks and lip glosses and thus thought, "I don't need lip balms". Am Yes, I was wrong yet glad that I aid it in my heart and not out loud, else I would be eating my words right now.

I purchased the Labello Fruity Shine Watermelon with my last shopping outing and totally love it. It smells great and the shine is perfect. The colour matches my lips perfectly and unlike the cherry flavour it doesn't have that red tinge. I love that it doesn't have that tinge yet it moisturizes and gives that lovely shine.

I’ve been unsuccessful in finding the new Peach and Watermelon! SOLD OUT!!! I’m completely addicted to Labello (check my handbag below). I have many tubes, in fact I have lost track of exactly how many. Their all strategically placed too. A few in each handbag (of which I have many and I never empty them), next to my bed, in my bathroom, the kitchen, in the car (I’ve made this mistake one too many as it melts), at the office, even my 2 daughters each have their own so that they don’t use mine!

I actually realised a while ago I was addicted and tried to cut back - couldn't do it. When I go shopping, I always BUT always walk passed the Labellos to see whether there’s a new one out and then I just grab another one JUST INCASE.
My husband just shakes his head when he asks why I have so many and why do I always buy more.. “Well Uhm see, you get the different types for different situations, like the proper one is for when it's cold/hot and then I have glossy/flavoured/sparkly ones for when I go out”… Men just don’t seem to understand.
