When it comes to my skin and beauty regime, I prefer to keep it as simple, as natural and as nourishing as possible. I have a combination skin and I find it so difficult to by face care products because most brands mostly cater for oily or dry skins. Those that claim to cater for combination skins having difficulty striking the balanced of leaving my skin cleansed yet nourished, soft and smooth!
My experience with most make up removal products is they they often strip my skin of it's natural oils, leaking it dry, tight and cracking, especially the wet wipes. Or you find products that are cream or oil based which are more gentle, but don't remove all the make-up and you have to end up using a lot of product to get the desired result- which makes buying these products expensive yet not effective.
Hence I was very exited when I received the opportunity to try Lipidol. I had seen it at Clicks stores where I do my monthly cosmetic shopping, but was skeptical because I didn't know the brand or how the oils worked. So I tried it out and here it goes!
How does my skin feel-?Soft, smooth, nourished and loved.
Did Lipidol Facial Cleansing Oil live Up to my expectations? It exceeded my expectations! My make up removal process is so much easier, the oil is gentle on my face yet removes the make up and dirt! And leaves me with a lasting feeling or nourished skin, that looks and feels healthy and happy.
Is this an oil cleanser that binds oil material and gently dissolves impurities, without removing skins natural oily layer? Yes! It softened the foundation, powder, blush, eye shadow, eye liner, lipstick and mascara off my face. I didn't have to use a lot of product to achieve the desired effect and what I enjoyed as well is using it on days when I didn't wear foundation. Such days I would wear BB cream only or no make up at all and it still played the role of forming a base before I apply BB cream and removing the BB cream or just removing dirt on my face. This is when I discovered that it was not just a make up remover!
Did I feel the need to put on moisturizer after use or did your skin feel oily? Not at all! The reason why i had started to use Cream based make-up removers and face cleansers is because I was looking for a product that offered a 2 in 1 effect. Removes make up and dirt and also nourishes skin. So this product was perfect for my needs.
Overall I really enjoyed using Lipidol, it's a product that has various uses and fits into my lifestyle and needs. I am impressed that it comes from Bio-Oil, I wish they would mention it in their advertising as I think more woman would warm up to trying and trusting the brand. At the end of February I intend purchase and try out the rest of their range.
With Love
