Lipidol Face and Body Oils

Lipidol Oils is a range of light feeling oils which are used for a wide variety of uses you get the: Cleansing Face Oil, Overnight Oil, In-shower oil, After shower oil and the After shave oil, but the main focus this summer is the Lipidol Sunscreen Oil SPF20.

The Lipidol Sunscreen Oil SPF20 125ml is a light feeling sunscreen great for the outdoors great for Sun protection, it also protects your skin against the harsh effects of water and wind (environmental effects) its an all round skin protecting product. I love most of the Lipidol products they are not heavily scented products, the Lipidol Sunscreen Oil is fragranced with Cypress and Basil essential oils.

Cypress: The Cypress Oil comes from the Cypress Tree a medicinal tree which is unknown for its antiseptic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, stimulating and anti-rheumatic properties.
Basil: Has it's cosmetic abilities such as it enhances dull-looking skin, as well treats acne and a variety of other skin infections.

When it comes to skin protection it is always a must for me, I live an active life and I love being out doors but I live on a coastal city and work close to the beach so I spend most of time outside. So keeping protected from the harsh UV rays on my daily experiences is a must.

All the oils are priced at R90 and you can only find them at Clicks SA stores nationwide, call me addicted because I've tried and used all of the oils so they are definitely part of my beauty routines. They are truly worth the buy great products containing a wide variety of essential oils.

I got this when I purchased a magazine. I don't usually buy magazines but when I saw that it came with the oil I knew it was a steal.

This 50ml oil helps to supplement the skin's natural oils which get stripped away by life's exposure to harsh elements. From the first time I used it, I woke up with my skin feeling exceptionally soft and looking more hydrated and moisturised. A few drops are enough for your face and neck. Use over time has helped reduce the appearance of dark spots.

Just some detail on some of the ingredients:

1. It contais rosehip oil which has anti ageing benefits and helps reduce inflammation and fine lines. It also helps to reduce skin pigmentation.

2. It contains pomegranate seed oil which has antioxidant properties. It also helps to revitalize dull looking skin.

3. Plukenetia volubus seed oil which has very high contents of omega 3 and 6 oils.

4. Safflower seed oil which helps to lubricate the skin's surface giving it a soft and smooth appearance.

5. Sunflower seed oil which immitates the fat content found in our skin. This comes in handy to prevent moisture loss.

Even if you have oily skin, natural oils contain benefits.

I have combination skin and didn't experience any breakouts.

I just cleanse my face and neck, follow with a toner then the overnight face oil.

Give it 2 weeks.

I have quite oily skin, so I used t stay away from anything oily when it comes to my face. But I recently found out that my skin might be more dehydrated than I thought and actually needed oil. This products is great, because it moisturizes your face and provides it with the oils it needs. The fact that you apply it at night is just great, then you don't have to worry about applying it underneath your foundation if you are scared of an oil overdose.

I am so amazed by this little gem. I have always been afraid of putting any oil on my face for the dear of having a break out.
After recieving a sample with my magazine purchase I fearfully tried this out.
I am highly impressed as it has little to no fragrance and the oil is a lightweight fast absorbing liquid that immediately seeps into my face keeping it hydrated in these dry cold winter nights .
The oil plumps my skin and rejuvenates it overnight on that I wake up with a fresh face and healthy glowing skin .
Now I'm ready to try more :)

To think I was handed a sample of lipidol . After using the product I immediately fell in love. I simply love this product . I swear by it . I would recommend this product to all females and males. Thumbs up .

I must admit i was quite skeptical at first but bought a bottle and decided to try it out. I am pleasantly surprised with the product, my skin looks better than it did and despite it being an oil it absorbs well and my skin feels soft and smooth. this is definitely a new favourite for me.

I have managed to collect some awesome stuff. From lipsticks, makeup brushes, eyeshadow palettes, etc to this months free sample of Lipidol Overnight Face Oil when you purchase the Woman's Health Mag.

It is an oil that is not overly scented, it has a tissue oil scent to it and you apply it in the evening and remove it the next morning.

This does sit on the skin, so being an oily skin girl, it is not the most pleasant feeling.

However, the next morning my skin does not feel oily at all. It is almost like the oil blocked my usual overnight oil production.

After I have washed it off, my skin is super smooth. I am not sure what all the claims are and I have not been using it long enough to comment on them, but for now I am pleased with the results.

I really think this product is worth a try.

I decided to finally purchase this face oil after meaning to for some time. I would usually buy a night cream for the colder weather so I just got this oil instead.
I do have a pricier face oil which I use only on areas I've noticed the first signs of ageing. I figured this oil would stretch my other one further as well as replace a night cream.
The packaging is simple and the oil itself is a pretty yellow. It doesn't make any wild claims. I do wish it came with some kind of dropper to make application easier.
It doesn't smell too strong to me and while I don't completely like the smell it isn't unpleasant. The oil is rather thin and I don't find that it absorbs well into my skin. I decided to simply apply my day cream over it, in an attempt to seal it in. It hasn't made any drastic difference to my skin but has worked well at putting the moisture back into the skin on my forehead. It sadly hasn't agreed with the apples of my cheeks and I have a small breakout now. I've used it on my neck where its worked well. I've been using it every night for about two weeks now.
Overall not a product I would repurchase. I will however use it up by adding it to my day cream. I would recommend you give it a go if you want to dip your toes in the facial oil world because of the price. Just because it hasn't worked completely for me doesn't mean the same for someone else.
I do think it would be helpful adding it to an expensive night cream to stretch the longevity of the cream. Not a bad buy just not really for me.

Extremely impressed with how efficient this product is. It really works. I love how the packaging is travel friendly - wish they would make a bigger bottle though but overall I was impressed.

After trying Lipidol's Suntan Oil, I was convinced that this particular oil would impress me just as much... I'd been wrong.

On my hands, this oil felt very runny and greasy, like the feeling of cooking oil :( After pressing it onto my face, it left residue, that I had to pat-off with cotton wool. After a while, I'd realised that it hadn't yet sunk into my skin. After waking up, it hadn't left my skin with a radiant, smooth, and plumped look, typical of other facial oils. 2 weeks on, my skins look was left unchaged.

I'm really not a fan of this oil's fragrance. The scent was quite like vegetable or canola oil with a spritz of citrus extract - very unblendable and wishy-washy :(

I didn't keep it around long enough to see if produced good results.

On the plus side, it blended very well into my night cream, although the point was to eliminate night cream from my routine.

This body oil locks in everything!

When Clicks first introduced this oil, I couldn't believe how affordable it was. What first attracted me to buying this, was the clean, transparent, minimalist look, which really does echo it's natural formula. The bottle being plastic means I can carry it around in my beach bag during those long summer days.

The formula feels light, non-greasy, and untacky on my skin, even though it seals in the moisture for hours on end! During my days out surfing, my skin tone didn't darken at all! The liquorice-y scent is the best part, reminding me of a very subtle Viktor + Rolf's Flowerbomb perfume.

At R80 a pop, I always buy more than one!

This is amazing for winter, which is when I started using it for the first time. The scent is incredibly refreshing, quite zingy and I love that I could clean my skin without stripping it at all. Takes a bit of getting used to because it doesn't lather up like a typical body wash but you will feel so clean and hydrated at the same time.
A tad bit more pricy than my regular body washes so I will reserve it for winter use only.

I bought this cleansing body oil after hearing good reviews on it in several blogs - I heard it smelled like Roses Lime Cordial which is one of my favourite things EVER, and for summer I love a good zesty shower wash to really wake me up in the morning.

While this doesn't lather up as much as I thought it would (I'm used to the Nivea Shower Oil which gets pretty foamy), it definitely smells amazing, and it leaves your skin feeling clean but very soft and nourished at the same time. I'll definitely repurchase this.

Not long ago I received this product for my Beauty exchange prize.

I used this product for two to three days I could feel the skin texture change immediately but soon thereafter it gave me a reaction to the back of my neck I ended up with a ring worm and a chapped skin and I ended up not using it anymore. It sounds like a great product but I guess not for my skin type.

I'd refer this product to others because it does not mean that it will treat them the same way since we all have different skin types.

I love the cleansing oil so much. It's got a light zesty scent to it and is so gentle on my skin. My skin is very dry and it gets worse in the winter months so it's perfect for me right now. I like that it cleanses my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated even before I have reached for my body lotion. I reckon a bottle lasts me just over 2 months so I feel it's worth every penny.

I have waiting for month end ( the struggle ) Lol! to get my hands into this products as I have heard only amazing things about The Lipidol Oils. I started using from last week on Saturday and today is my 5th day using both oils. The smell is amazing and "hello what"!! I was hooked with immediate effect!

That little bottle lasts VERY long, a little goes a loooong way. I am on my second bottle now and I will keep on buying this.
I have seen improvements in my acne scars and marks as well.

As someone who suffers with atopic skin I highly recommend Lipidol's cleansing body oils! Having tried multiple products before with no success my skin is completely different and moisturised. The fact that you are left without an oily residue and that it is a quarter of the price of products my dermatologist recommended is a bonus.

excellent product!

I love using this oil after having a shower and before towel drying. I apply it to my still damp skin. I suffer from dry, itchy skin and nothing seems to help as much as the Lipidol oil.

It leaves my skin feeling silky soft and delicately fragrance. I wish they made it in larger sized bottles. Mine only lasts me 2 weeks.

I was most fortunate to receive some lovely lipidol products from BB for my mother's day video. The products were the Cleansing Body Oil and after shower oil. Awesome stuff.

Between the two products my favourite has to be the Cleansing body oil because I cannot get over the invigorating citrus smell. The lather is not much but, it does not matter at all. I simply enjoy te cleansing and nourishing effect on my skin every time I use it. Wow, a girl can really get used to this plus, it sooo moisturising and makes my skin feeling incredibly clean and soft.

The after shower oil is also great but I have not used it that much. I cannot seem to get a distintc scent from the product but what I do get is a soft and moist feeling on my skin after application and it lasts for up to 24 hours.


This is the first time I have used Lipidol products but it certainly will not be the last. As promised, a video review for these products is in progress which I will upload before the end of the week.

i have used the Lipidol after shower oil and the overnight face oil.
I little goes a long way, I saw a review about the overnight face oil in some magazine, and just had to see for myself.

I am in love with the cleansing body oil. The fresh lime scent uplifts my spirit and my skin is soft. I am currently using my third bottle of this and is not planning to stop using it anytime soon.

I have used the body cleansing oil and it was lovely. Like the way my skin felt after washing and I liked the smell as well did not feel the moisturize afterwards

I bought this as it was marketed in several magazines as a sunscreen oil.it has a light delicate scent that disappears quickly.i did not find the application to be easy as you can easily poUr out too much.....i found this product slightly greasy leaving an oily sheen on clothes and not absorbed efficiently.despite the fact that i really like some of the other lipidol products i really found this product to be effective.it neither functioned as a suntan or sunscreen oil;it was greasy; the application was messy and it did not protect.so not a repurchase for me.

With UVA and UVB (SPF 20), this suntan oil is amazing for protecting the skin from the harsh elements (sun, wind and water).

By always keeping this suntan oil close by like in your handbag, I apply it before going in the sun and if I swam that day, I'd apply it afterward. I love this 125ml bottle for R79.95.

The first thing I like about this product is the fact that its R79.95 for 200ml! That's a bargain. But it makes me question the quality of this body oil as they rarely are available at that price.

But because Lipidol were created by Union Swiss, the makes of Bio-Oil, I had a little faith. I enjoy applying this while in the bath as it strips my skin of any dirt and grime build up,

I'm really picky when it comes to my body oils.

One can never have too many face cleansers. I love this one because it does the work for lazy girls like me. Applying this cleanser to a dry face is great as it actively removes dirt and make-up without stripping your face of its natural oils.

After a adding a little water for it to lather, I rinse it off and prepare for bed with the Lipidol Overnight Face Oil.

As a firm believer in the benefits of beauty sleep, I'm also big on making sure that while sleeping, my skin is recovering from being in contact with the harsh elements throughout the day.

I like this overnight oil because it does exactly what I need it to. After applying it to my face before bedtime, I wake up the next morning with my skin feel soft and rejuvenated.

Some may assume this after shave oil is only suited for men but I enjoy using this once I've done a quick shave of my legs in the bath or in the shower.

I'm loving this after shower oil. It's at a great price, R79.95 which I think is superb for a 175ml bottle. It's designed to replace your body's natural oils as a result of them having been stripped away during washing.

I apply this after showering (if you bathe, that's fine too) and my skin feels and looks amazing! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking to replenish their skins natural shine and radiance in a positive way.
