Let me just say at the outset that I do not ever use soap bars. As a matter of fact, I cannot remember the last time that I did. I feel like they smell like, well, for lack of a better word, soap. I have no idea how else to describe it, sort of like a generic smell like washing powderish.
Enter Lux Soft Touch Beauty Bar, suffice it to say my soap smell theory hit a brick wall and died. This bar of soap smells awesome. It smells rich and fragrant but not in that musky kind of way. It is a very new fresh smell, like rose water and other nice stuff mixed together.
I was hesitant to use it despite the smell, because I think soap bars are sort of drying. But I bit down and took the chance and boy was I surprised. I didn't feel like I had been scrubbed with a stone at all. I felt clean but not dry and tight. I was impressed.
I think Lux have really stepped up their game in terms of soap bars here. Who would have thought a bar of soap could feel indulgent and luxurious.
I am pleasantly surprised and I really would not mind using it regularly.
