This product is a multi purpose eye crayon that can be used as an eyeliner, cream eyeshadow or a dark eyeshadow base. The colour French Quarter is a blacked bronze colour with very fine micronized red, green and gold glitter. When used as an eyeliner it applies smoothly and the glitter can't be felt. Its creamy and soft so the point doesn't last past one application to both eyes but there is a built in sharpener in the bottom of the eyeliner. I've used it on my lower and upper lash line but not on my waterline. I never use eyeliner with glitter on my waterline as they might scratch your eyes. When first applied the eyeliner is blendable for about 20-30 seconds but after that it sets, will not budge and its waterproof.
As a cream eyeshadow base it is slightly drier in texture than a MAC paint pot but much more intensely pigmented. You must blend quickly to sheer out the colour if your doing a smoky eye look. Just a tip: do one eye at a time. The eyeshadow sticks very well to the greasepaint and it gives an interesting dimension to the powder eyeshadows. I used it without a primer and it lasted for 6 hours without creasing before I had to remove it before bed. It would probably have lasted for many more hours as it had no signs of wearing off at all.
This is a unique and interesting product and I look forward to doing more experimentation with the range of looks I can do with this product. I'm sorry that this review is so long but this product does a lot. Its unfortunate that its a limited edition product, but I would love to try other colours if they release more.
