Lets take a minute to talk about the Essence Mattifying Compact Powder, i am in the shade 50 True Caramel, it surprisingly does the work of "mattifying" my face and gives it a smooth, flawless finish. My face is really oily especially now that we in summer, so I was wondering if this compact powder would help me to control the oil, and it did! The effect lasted for a good 4 to 5 hours on my face. It doesn’t make my face look chalky or cakey like other powders i have tried out. This finely milled powder is definitely light on the skin almost so that it feels like i am not wearing any makeup. The price is also appealing it retails for R70 and you can pick one up for yourself at Dischem or Clicks stores.
