I absolutely love this product, keeps your lips hydrated but I find that only with the ones that are not tinted I am not a super fan of the tinted ones. I always have this lip balm on me at all times 24/7 through all seasons of the year. I just love love it.
The packaging is attractive because I like the colours. They are pretty and vibrant. I also prefer this type of container, which can be rolled up and applied directly to lips. It is more hygienic than the finger-application variety (because when you're at work or out and about you're touching lots of things and can't always wash your hands before applying unless you have hand sanitizer in your bag). It also allows for quick and easy application.
The smell of the lip-balm is very fruity and citrusy. I prefer strawberry and cherry smells, but I don't necessarily dislike the smell of the babylips lip-balm.
Upon application, it feels smooth like butter on my lips but it feels like it doesn't absorb into my lips, it just stays on the surface. My lips still feel dry underneath. I also found I had to apply a lot of the product at a time, and even though I do have dry lips generally, I apply more than I do when using other lip balms.
It gives a glossy shine to my lips. The product doesn't last long before I find I need to re-apply more.
Overall, I wouldn't say I didn't like the product, but I wasn't wow-ed by it either.
Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Berry Bomb Moisturising Lip Balm comes in a fun black and purple packaging. The balm stick is purple in colour and it is lightly fragranced with a berry scent. The balm soothes my lips on application and it leaves them with a subtle purplish berry tint. It feels very moisturising on the lips and it is safe to say that I love all the variants in the Baby Lips Electro range. I have no doubt that I will continue to use the Baby Lips balms especially in the warmer months. In winter I tend to switch to heavier hydrating lip balms and butters to combat winter dryness.

Maybelline Baby Lips Peach Kiss Moisturising Lip Balm comes is a cute purple and peach packaging. The balm stick is peach in colour and it leaves a subtle peach colour on my lips. This looks very natural on me. The balm is light on the lips and moisturising. It is great for the summer months to keep lips soft and supple. The balm has a light pleasant scent.
I love this lil guy, always have it in my handbag. This keeps my lips moisturised and i love the fact that some are tinted and the range has a great variety to choose from.Great product from Maybelline
Maybelline Babylips pricing varies according to the packaging. There is a range where there is black inner tube with bright font on the exterior that is more expensive than this original packaging. The prices range from R25-R35 , from what I recall. It is abit pricey for a "lip balm".
I love the BabyLips range and have about 10 (and one of them has been repurchased 4 times) . I mainly buy them because of how cute all of the lippies look in my collection. They are good for short term lip hydration as my lips become dry after a few (1-2) hours, so I have to reapply . The pigmented range is awesome for a natural pop of colour without the lipstick appearance.
I find the clear ones lasts for an even shorter time , so you'll have to keep it on your person to constantly moisturise your lips.
I wouldn't recommend this to people with very dry lips as it would be of no use to keep it hydrated.
My favourite of all the BabyLips, I have used about 4 tubes of this over the last few months. Its softens lips without that nasty white film that most lip balms leave behind. Great scent and pretty packaging make this a beauty must have.
I bought about 7 tubes overseas just over a year ago and they've all been used up. Love that it hydrates but isn't waxy (my peeve with lip balms) so that I can use this under or over most of my lipsticks.
It's very well priced and I have chosen this over Labello any day now.
The packaging is quite funky, which I like. It stands out from the average lip balm. I found it very hydrating. I only use lip balm in the morning and then my lip gloss or lip stick the rest of the day. I , personally, have found it to be more hydrating than previous lip balms.
I make no secret of the fact that I am a lip balm hoarder, and even though I have them lying around everywhere, I still buy some more and more. And then I keep on purchasing my favourites, and this one is one of them.
It hydrates my lips immensely and leaves my lips soft.
Only problem I have though is the fact that it does not last me too long as I am very rough on balms.
Every one i knew just wanted Baby lips so i was like i would love to try this. And after trying this product. I can honestly say i was disappointed. The hydration did not last at all, I did not like the texture- my lips felt plastered. and definitely some of the shades are not for all skin types. For me this product was not all that.
I bought the Hydrate Baby Lips, just to find out what all the hype was about.
I won't lie, I'm not the biggest fan. It's just like the hydrating Labello, but the price difference shows the difference in quality. Perhaps I've been spoiled by my Eos, my Labello and my EA Eight Hour Cream, but this stuff just doesn't do it for me. It's one of those lip balms you'll need to apply every hour or so in order for it to do it's job, and I really don't like the smell or the texture of it at all.
I'll use it as a base before applying lipsticks, as I don't like to waste, but I won't be repurchasing it.
I usually use Carmex or Lip Sano on my lips, but for summer I decided to try this Babylips, and I am glad I did! Beside it being extremely hydrating, it also has spf protection! I didn't expect it to be as moisturising as my usuals, but it was, add the sun protection, and this is a huge hit!
I bought this lip balm a few months ago because I had nothing in my bag and I have a huge fear of dry lips. I picked up the cheapest and nearest thing, which was the Maybelline Babylips at the time, and put it on immediately.
I have the Peach lips version and love the light tint of colour and the smell is divine. It really works. I love love love everything about it. Sometimes I leave my fancy lipsticks and glosses behind, in favour of Babylips.
So, I kind of feel that there is a huge hype of Baby Lips and decided that for the small price, let's give it a try. I honestly feel that the hype was just that... a hype over nothing. I seriously don't like the texture and especially dislike the taste/scent of the blue 'moisturising' one. I get nauseous after applying it and feel that it doesn't hydrate dry lips, not to mention the longevity is non-existent. I found that after discontinuing use, my lips were in a far worse condition and went back to tried & tested products that are cheaper and more reliable.
I have and will continue to say that these are THE best lip balms ever. I am always so shocked when I see a negative comment as I have awful lips in Winter and these have been a lifesaver. There is a range of 8 different types such as Hydrate, Moisturise, Intense Care and then an assortment of colours and they all work AMAZINGLY. I do not leave the house without my Hydrate Babylips!
This is my favourite lip balm EVER. I can not be any more positive about it. I suffer badly with dry lips in Winter and the Hydrate and Intense Moisture lipbalms in this range have been my saving graces this season! :)
I'm here to tell you all about my experience with the new Maybelline Baby Lips Balm Hydrate. First let me begin by telling you all that I suffer from extremely dry lips and i often have to resort to very expensive lip balms to keep my lips properly hydrated. So when I received Baby Lips Hydrate, I was kind of skeptical as to if it would work...
I have been using it for a week now and I can say I am SO impressed! It says it lasts for 8 hours, however because of my severe dry lips I apply it every hour or so. But that being said, my lips feel so hydrated and happy :)
I absolutely love the packaging too. I've got the blue one- Hydrate. But the other ones come in all different types of pretty, funky colours! I want to own them ALL just based on the appearance!
Definitely a great lip balm to try out. I am very happy with the results and will continue to use it! Thank you Maybelline! I LOVE YOU!!!
So I went crazy, I mean like psycho crazy when I got my hands on these Baby Lips, mainly because all the bloggers have been raving about them, and honestly after the first try, I truly understood why they rave about this beauty! I chose "hydrate" because it's more of a moisturising Baby Lips and that's exactly what I needed. The packaging is quite simple and eye catching. The packaging says "8 hour moisture", the Baby Lips doesn't actually stay on lips for long, but rather soaks into lips leaving them hydrated, soft and smooth. In just one day... I felt a difference in the condition of my lips. I was pleased to know that Baby Lips comes in SPF 20 which is good for Summer because lips need all the protection they can get.
The back of the packaging shows results by a self assessment on 105 women, the results are as follows:
76% lips looked conditioned and cared
76% healthier looking lips
73% lips felt protected
73% lips felt baby soft
The actual Baby Lips packaging is very colourful and eye catching, which is probably why everyone is obsessed with the product. I find the lip balm just too cute for words, and I probably will get every Baby Lips to collect. The barrel is a baby blue shade with a touch of vibrancy in it, while the lid is clear with the words "baby lips" printed in a retro text in a bright pink shade. The actual balm is white in colour but applies clear. I was very impressed with the balm because it applied smoothly and felt like butter melting onto my lips. The Baby Lips felt like a gloss on lips and have lips a good healthy shine. As soon as I applied the Baby Lips, my lips felt amazing, they had a lovely hydrated feel which is what I'm always looking for in a lip balm.
The texture of the lip balm is very smooth, and the Baby Lips has a very fair amount of petroleum in it because you can get the scent, but as long as it does an amazing job in keeping lips hydrated...I'M NOT COMPLAINING! The Baby Lips has a very light scent it's a very pleasant smell and I like it because it isn't overwhelming. So I've been using the Baby Lips for just over a week now, and I'm quite impressed with the results. My lips feel absolutely AMAZING!!! My lips are definitely softer, smoother and strangely I find them looking much more plump.
I would definitely recommend you to get these Baby Lips because I finally see what all the hype is about. It's not your average lip balm, this is like a lip balm on steroids! The secret is that the Baby Lips has an exclusive lip renew formula and even the packaging stated "For adult use only" which at first worried me a little. I will admit the Baby Lips does actually make you feel like your lips are virtually reborn. This is an amazing lip balm and everyone should really invest in it.
