Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick

This is such an awesome product maybelline never disappoints.
I bought the color "mocha pearl" and am really impressed
I dint expect it or be much but it does a fantastic job.
They are well pigmented and glide on so easily.
Color can be built up to a higher intensity if required. They have really gorgeous glow to it . IT'S not glossy it's more of sheen than makes it look very high end.

At the moment, this is my favourite nude lipstick. When I am having a plain day and does not want to have all the focus on my lips, I choose this colour.
The creamy, buttery texture gets me still with these lipsticks and it is just such a comfortable wear. This shade is definitely one I will repurchase again and again.

I still love this lipstick. I have just added a cheeky little red colour to my collection and I love it!
This red is vibrant and cheers me up in an instant.
The only problem I have with darker colours are the fact that I talk so much so sometimes a little lipstick stain ends up on my chin. For the life of me I do not know how I talk that it happens. So with this colour I always double check every once in a while.
Other than that, the lipstick glides on like butter and is highly pigmented and I need to reapply about every 5 hours. But by then my day is almost over so I just pop some lipbalm on my lips!

Oh!! Yes you heard me! I said 365 not 360!!
My 365 Plum Passion has me turning heads as we speak. I love the fact that it's not just a very dark colour but it is bright at the same time and it does wonders for my dark complexion.
I am the type of girl who don't do glitter so 365 Plum is just perfect for me. It stays like a stain and don't dry my lips.

It is a perfect party colour and it turns heads at social events. It also comes in red, pink and nude so to cater for all skin colours.

No aren't I thh elucky one? I was once again the fortunate recipient of this lovely little lippie from BB in the sahde plushest pink.

First off, I have never used any lipsticks from the maybeline range but heard that they are all wonderful and just looking at the reviews below I know its a good product.

Since receipt, I have used my lippie a few times. What captivates me about it the most is tha tI cannot get enough of the rosy, cherry smell. It just lik epicking fresh flowers on a summer's day or wear your favourite fragrance.

I have to agree that it does simply glide on and its very nourishing to my lips, especially since winter took its toll on my lips and it really creates a great mattee look that lasts for hours.


The colour pigmets are very visiible but the colour itself is not overwhelming such it attracts to much attention to your lips.s actually very mild and subtle.


Good Choice of lipstick for any day

I've nicknamed my Maybelline Bold Matte 1 my Miley Cyrus lipstick. It's not just hot pink...its HAWT PINK!!

I'm not too fond of pink lipstick, but I was willing to give this one a shot. Being a redhead you can't wear too much pink as my colouring has a pinkesh tinge to it anyway and wearing anything pink just makes me look like someone's slapped my face really hard.

But having red hair is the bomb and I don't let it limit me to what colours I wear. However, there are shades that suit be better. I usually stick to red lippy that has a hint of brown in it.

This one is brighter than bright. It frikken glows in the dark! I think you can actually see this lip colour from outter space! Wearing this lippy, I could probably be used as a beacon to warn ships of land nearby. There would be NO mistaking me at a rave or neon party. I could wear this shade when I'm patrolling with the CPF and they wouldn't have to use their daylight torches. This lippy has many uses....and truly a bargain being such a gorgeous multi-tasker.

Its moisturising and long-lasting and beautifully matte. A swish of lipgloss over the top could glam it up immediately. the packaging mirrors the lippy's mattness with its bright outter.

A crowd stopper and not suitable for shrinking violets!

I received this lipstick as a prize from BB and nearly had heart failure when I saw this crazy pink colour. Imagine a barbie pink colour and then kick it up two notches. I am more of a nude and rose colour girls and this was way out of my comfort zone, BUT when I applied crazy pink to my lips, I sang another tune.

Sometimes we are so stuck in a certain kind of shade, that we do not try new things and miss out on good stuff. Trying out this bright colour has made me realise that I am set in my own ways, and that I need to get out there and try more different colours.

Back to the lipstick. I love the packaging. It looks bright and colourful and I like the fact that the lid closes up the whole lipstick and fits tightly. I have had mishaps in the past where the lipstick cap did not fit properly and the cap came off in my handbag and messed up everything inside.

The lipstick glides on like butter. One coat is enough to give your lips enough colour as it is highly pigmented already. If you want a more extreme look, then two coats will be in order.

The finish of this lipstick is matte so be sure to take care of your lips so no imperfections show. It looks smooth and colourful on my lips.

It feels light and moisturising and like velvet. I actually applied two coats and wore it the whole day with one meal inbetween. It stays on and looks bright the entire time. By the evening the colour started to fade, and my lips were left with a lovely stain.

I love this lipstick and realise that this bright pink colour suits my milky complection. So when I am wearing this lipstick, I apply my eye makeup a but lighter so that all the focus is on my lips.

I love it. I would recommend anyone to try this range of lipstick as it feels like butter on your lips but takes a while to fade. Go try the testers and find the colour that suits you best.

I simply love this lipstick! I have it in shade 904 - vivid rose.. It's intense with color and richly pigmented, so I usually just dab it on till I get the pink I desire - in the picture uploaded is just one dab.. I love how it moisturizes the lips while giving it a matte look! Awesome lipstick without breaking the bank :)

This is by far one of the best matte lipsticks I've bought and I have bought many in the quest to find the perfect one. Glides on lovely and the texture is rich yet lightweight at the same time.I chose the shade 'infinitely fuschia",which is a bright pink. The color is rich and vibrant.This lipstick promises to stay fast for up to 14 hours but for me I had to reaply after six hours although even through meals and cups of tea it didn't rub off so that's totally fine by me. An added bonus is that is has a nice fragrance. For best results from a Matte lipstick regular exfoliating of your lips is advisable. The price is not bad at all either.

No matter what your skin tone is - light, dark, medium, beige, toast, etc - if youre looking for the perfect tone of red, with a bit of a blue undertone, your search ends with the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Very Cherry. This particular shade is bold, and sexy, and due to the texture , in combination with the shade, of the lipstick, it gives your lips a bit of a plump illusion. The lipstick does not dry out your lips, and is very creamy. The packaging is simple, but classy. And its mirror-reflective base of the casing makes it very easy to spot it in your handbag. The downside to this product is that it is not colorstay, and will require more than one reapplication throughout the day.

This colour is so out of my comfort zone but I absolutely love it! It really is HOT PLUM, a purple type of colour and adds a real pop to any make up look. I love wearing it with a plain eye and leave it as the main focus. It lasts so long and has a bit of a lip stain in it.

Definitely recommend this vibrant range

A classy, sexy vibrant Fire-engine Red which stops traffic every time.
I don't normally wear lipstick as it turns to dry out my lips but this one's already halfway used.

For long lasting lip colour that doesn't show signs of wear and fading, this product does a pretty decent job. Does not leave lips feeling dry but looks better paired with a gloss. Not badly priced and adds a pop of colour.

For a drug store brand, I think this is a nice, affordable lip product.

Maybelline Color Sensational The Shine, is the newest addition to their Color Sensational range of lipsticks. The Shine claims to have mirror-like colour with a creamy feel, enriched with honey nectar. I’ve had it in my bag for a while and have been using it from time to time so that I could share my thoughts.

The shade I tried is ‘Mauve Diamonds’. It has a mild fruity smell and it applies smoothly and easily and feels moisturising. It isn’t heavily pigmented, and has a very shiny, sheer look, almost gloss-like but its lipstick. Because of the sheer and lightweight formula, it wears off after an hour or two or as soon as you eat or drink something.

I like the way it shines like gloss but feels like lipstick. The shininess comes from loads of tiny, mirror pigments that reflect the light but don’t look glittery on your lips. Keep an eye on your chin though – after I ate I noticed I had reflective particles on my chin that were quite difficult to remove without messing up my foundation.

The packaging is pretty, with a transparent, pink, holographic lid covering a metallic tube.

At around R110.00, Color Sensational The Shine lipstick is a wallet-friendly alternative to higher-end lipsticks like Chanel Rouge Coco Shine and Dior Addict High Shine Lip Color.

This is a beautiful shade from the shine lip colour collection.

This red gives you a splashy wet shine look and brilliant color for yummy looking lips it also conditions your lips keeping them perfectly moisturized. I'd say it's a lip smacking treat that glides on like a dream :)

I don’t think I have ever said this about an entire lip collection before, but I was amazed to find the formula was consistent throughout all the shades. Usually I find some shades are drier than others but not these lip colours.

Quick Tip: I use this colour for a fresh and functional look for day time ( no intense eye make-up needed) Just some rose toned blush and a smack of this colour on your lips. Also this is definitely a colour you can take from day to night in a flash.

Worth a try for sure!

First of all let me say I love the packaging. The lipstick bullet is set in a silver base which is covered by a pink, reflective, translucent lid. You can see the lipstick shade through the top of the lid, or from the colour of the sticker on the base underside.

The lipstick is very lightweight and perfect for storing in your handbag.

I really liked how glossy the lipstick is so it smooths and applys easily.

The Ice Tea shade is technically a sheer lipstick but the pigment is so rich that it doesn’t take much to get a good pop of colour. It looks like a sheer translucent shimmer peach toned gloss.

The wear time for this lip colour ranges from 2hrs to 5hrs.

I like to use this shade on top of a hot pink just to help reduce the intensity of a over the top pink.

Firstly, I'm not a fan of the pearlescent sheen that his lipstick has. It reminds me of when I was small and I used to play with lipstick and scribble it on my face. This colour is more pink than coral and looks terrible when actually applied. It has slight moisturisation but after a while my lips started feeling dry. I added a lick of gloss over it and it looked better but I certainly won't spend money on this at all, luckily it was a gift!

I have been wearing this lipstick everyday since last week when i was given it to review. The lipstick lives up to its name - delicate pearl, as it is a subtle nude-light pink colour with a slight shimmer which enhances and defines the lips without being too much. It glides onto the lips with ease as it is quite moisturising and has relatively good staying power, I would say I had to touch up about every 2 hours or so.

In my Beauty Bulletin Review Club package I received 4 different lip colours. This little beauty was the first one that I tried out. I was immediately drawn to the packaging, which is a transparent, pretty pink casing. This lipstick is part of the Color Sensational collection called 'The Pearls'.

I don't normally wear nudes, frosty or very light colours, as I have a very pale complexion. I usually look like I accidentally left foundation on my lips, so I steer clear of them. What I love about this light shade is that it has a pink undertone, which is perfect for fair-skinned ladies, like myself.

This colour is a light pinkish/brown pearly colour that is almost the exact same colour as my natural lips. The more I use it, the more I like it. It's not frosted at all, but rather a very creamy, soft, shimmery colour. It has a lovely texture, and really glides onto the lips. They are supposed to be very nourishing, as they contain honey nectar. I won't say they are ultra moisturising, but they definitely don't dry my lips out. Also, if your lips are dry to begin with, then I think these creamy textured lipsticks will only accentuate that.

These definitely don't last very long, especially on someone like me, who can't help but lick their lips. But this isn't a problem for me, as lipsticks never last very long on me anyway.

Good colour!

I bought the Toffee at Clicks for R89.99,The shades are great,at first they seem really dark but when you have it on your lips it gets a lighter shade

I have two lipsticks from this range, "065 Hooked on Pink" and "375 Toffee Tango". Each lipstick has a different finishes and scent so I'll describe each separately.

Hooked on pink is a bright rose colour with a hint of fuchsia. The lipstick has a satin finish with no shimmer and is opaque. The smell is slightly sweet and synthetic, like play-doh as Chloe said. Initially the smell is strong but it fades over time.

Toffee tango is a shimmery brown colour with a hint of rose. This lipstick is glossy and sheer. This lipstic has a faint honey smell which I like a lot.

Overall these lipsticks are creamy, apply smoothly and did not dry out my lips. The range is fairly extensive with colours of varying intensities to suit all skin tones. I highly recommend them.

These lipsticks are so nice to have because they come in a large range of beautiful colours that will suit all complexions. The lipsticks are pigmented and smooth to apply. The range that is currently out consists mostly of colours made in a matte finish, but there is a Pearl range that has slight metallic effect that may be released in South Africa sometime in the future.

As the finish is matte, it may sometimes be a bit dry on the lips, so you may need to dab a bit of gloss on. I would definitely recommend that you exfoliate your lips and apply a light lip moisturiser before using this lipcolour for optimum results.
I loved the colour of this lipstick so much I bought a second one as a backup. The colour is perfect to still maintain a pretty pink pout, but subtle enough to dramatise your eyes. And I like that its matte because I can add gloss if I want a glossier look.

The lipstick does have a slight fragrance though. In my opinion it smells a bit like play dough... It’s hard to explain. So make sure to smell it first if you’re someone who dislikes lipsticks that have a fragrance.
