I have purchased the Fit Me foundation in shade 320 after seeing it all over social media. Application with a beauty blender was fairly easy and it looks great. But not for long... I've tried the foundation on its own as well as using powder and a setting spray but it looks cakey and oily an hour or two after application. It was super cheap so I didn't mind buying it to give it a chance. But I will definitely not repurchase
This is the best affordable foundation on the market! OMW! The coverage is awesome and it hides most imperfections on the skin. The one down point I could say is that later on during the day it does sink into laugh lines but is not really that bad, one could just cover that up. All in all this foundation is tops especially for this price it's really good quality. Oh and I have sensitive skin but this product is agreeing with my dry skin.
I was super disappointed in this product. After all the rave reviews and demos - I tried it, but I can confidently say that I will not be repurchasing it.
In fact I never wear it on its own and only use it as a mixer. First off - the shade selection is so bad. It jumps from ghost to oompa loompa and there are no inbetween shades for fair to medium skin tones.
Then it literally has no coverage and you have to use a ton to get a medium to full coverage. It is also glowy AF and I have no idea why everyone claims that it's matte???
It also does not control oil for longer then 2 hours. I think it is meant for dry skin and I am sure it would work well on that skin type only.
I like that it's affordable, but there are other affordables that are way less disappointing to me.
I have the shade 110 in the Maybelline Fit me Matte & Poreless foundation, it is a great matte foundation that pretty much sets itself, I often have to use a lot of powder but with this foundation I only set where I have concealed as it dries down really well, I wish it looked a little less dry but I still love it, I use it for my go to everyday foundation when I need my foundation to last really long!
I have combination skin so the formulation worked well for me. It mattifies without drying but you have to work quickly because it dries pretty fast. My only real issue is not being able to find my perfect shade because the range isn't very extensive.
I had heard so many reviews of the foundation online I was very excited to purchase the product when it arrived in South Africa. I was slightly disappointed by the packaging as it was different from the glass bottle I saw online but nonetheless I was still excited to try the product.
The best part of the foundation is that it doesn't feel as though you have applied make up on your face. It's great for a natural look. It doesn't give full coverage but you can build up on it if you're looking for more cover up. This foundation is definitely worth the price.
If like this product you will probably like the Maybeline Mousse foundation. It has the same natural feeling & it's great for oily skin.
I finally got around to buying this foundation, reading all the reviews I had to try it.. Hmm I'm a little disappointed to be honest because the coverage is not great but on the other hand it's ok for an everyday look as it gives a natural look.. It certainly isn't matte though but rather gives a velvety feel.. The consistency is quite liquidy, I have a bb cream that's thicker... However it does apply well...
If you need light coverage as well as a natural and Dewey look then this is it...
This is an amazing foundation boom.com doesn't transfer too much, yes it is matte because when i use it i dont set my face at all (lazy me) while I have a very oily skin on my t-zone but i manage to blot once .
Downside of this foindation is that its not a full coverage, its light to medium coverage but am not complaining. Its applicable through beauty blender but i use real technique brush.
The price of this product is unbelievable! It applies on the skin so smoothly and blends so effortlessly. It doesn’t wear all day though , it does wear down and it’s not really a matte finish but a velvet finish . But for the price you can’t beat it
Having sensitive combination skin, I've always stayed away from foundation, until i accidentally stumbled on this product.
The first time i wore it out, i got so many compliments on how flawless me skin were and from there i swear by this product!
Thank you Maybeline for catering to South African women( skin tone and skin condition)
Having combination skin makes it extremely hard for me to find a foundation that I'm completely happy with.
This foundation however is light and goes perfectly with my skin tone. I had no grey undertones and zero irritation to my skin.
The coverage is light (which is perfect) but is quite buildable if needed.
This foundation is my daily go to for when I'm going for a natural and flawless look!
Flawless skin! I have dry skin that's also very sensitive but I gave this foundation a try and i'm glad i did. Its very light on the skin and doesn't over dry nor irritate my skin, LOVE it!
I cleanse and moisturize my face as usual. Apply the Fit me! foundation to cover those blemishes on days that i need to go out and use the Fit me Press Powder to finish my natural look, stays for the whole day. Love it
Have you tried the MAYBELINE FIT ME MATT AND PORLESS FOUNDATION yet? I have and the results is amazballs, I got mine from foshini very affordable. The overall coverage is amazing, flawless finish long wear. It only starts wearing off after 8hours which is good, and it doesn't oxidize which is a bonus. Good for combination skin which I have. So while this foundation keep me flawless I can focus on my hectic daily schedule and conquer the world.
I recently purchased this product and I love the fact that it is weigh less foundation and the coverage is perfect for my skin tone. Its absolutely flawless and I use it because it has SPF 18 ,good for my oily skin and my face looks flawless with a good glow.
I am currently using Maybelline Fit me and it's amazing ! Love the coverage and definitely helps for my sensitive skin and i'm loving the glow and the fact that the foundation is lightweight.
Maybelline - FIT me
I always try to use different foundations as my skin is very sensitive and this product actually works and has great coverage. Love it
As someone with combination-oily skin, this foundation offers full coverage without the caked on appearance. It's not completely matte, but it does leave me with a healthy looking glow. So, I'd recommend it to anyone actually.
I am a dark skin girl. The dark shade I got had a red undertone making the foundation appear darker especially during winter. Was not as matte as I expected.
It is affordable ideal for a starting make-up wearer.
I use it for everyday wear as the formula is lightwieght and provides just enough coverage without making my skin look cakey... Would definitely recommend it
I bought this product because of the reviews I read saying how good it is for the price, but was slightly disappointed with the product. The product oxidised on my skin, leaving me with a slightly grey tint, and had quite a light coverage. However, they do come in a range of colours and if used with a powder, lasts for hours.
I've wanted to try this for ages and finally I did. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. My colour is 230 - Natural Buff which makes my skin tone perfectly.
I have combination to oily skin and would NOT recommend this foundation to those ladies who are prone to oiliness by 10am by forehead was an oil slick. I have to use my Clinique City Block Oil Free Protector which works as a primer to control oil production during the day otherwise I look all shiny which is not a good lool.
Other than that its a great foundation. I don't set it with powder but I will probably get a translucent one come payday. I do agree with Liezel below that a pump would probably have been wise which is strange considering Maybelline's other foundations have pumps. I just give it a shake and lightly pour some on the back of my hand. The price is very good but I will probably not buy this as its just not for my skin type.
i love Revlon Photo Ready foundation and for the past 2 years its been the only foundation i have used. i love it because it gives me dewy look and its just stunning on my skin. it doesnt go white when you take a photo (SPF 20) and its got good coverage. i use 008 Golden Beige.
i saw Maybelline FIT foundation and i was suprised in all the shades that it came in, not just in the foundation but in the concealer and powder as well. i loved the fact that it also promised dewy look, had an SPF 18 - perfect. i then found shade 210 - Sandy Beige (sounds really dark) to be exactly like the shade i use in Revlon. For the first time i thought i would give it a try as it was on sale at Clicks for R149.
So I’m currently on my second repurchase of this foundation and I think Maybelline is really coming out with amazing foundation! This is my favorite as well as the SuperStay 24hr full coverage foundation. I’m just in love. Highly recommend it!
The maybelline FitMe in shade 220 is my absolute favourite .retailing for under R110 it's definitely a steal and the finish is absolutely amazing with no caking! It's light enough for everyday usage but the coverage is good enough for a 10 hour shift . whenever someone asks what I'm using I'm proud to say it's the fitme foundation and even more proud of the affordability of the product
This foundation retails for about R99. I think this absolutely great and really affordable. I love the consistently of this foundation. It was watery constancy and works great with a beauty blender type sponge. I would say that the coverage is medium - which is great if you don't like heavy looking foundation. It is definitely light on the skin. You will need to apply powder to set it to allow it to last extra longer as it is watery and will wipe of easier if you like to touch your face a lot. I have been through two bottles of this foundation and will continue purchasing it. I purchased my first in England in the shade 105 which was okay for the winter (Paler skin). My second bottle I purchased on Zando and got 120 which is a tab to dark for me but I still manage to make it work.
This foundation feels so light and soft on my skin. It also blends perfectly with my light skin tone (Classic Ivory 120). It doesn't offer heavy coverage, so a concealer is needed for some spots and blemishes. I only wish that it had a pump, which would have been much less messy and more economical.
How about MAYBELLINE Fit Me NOT!!! I tried to like this product so much, wore is straight for a week, wearing a Woolworths primer and a Black Opal Transluscent Oil Blocking Powder but all I got was transfers, oily skin. And I have come to the conclusion that its not for me. I will give it just one more shot, now that winter is coming, as my skin tends to be dry, maybe it will offer a dewy look and not dry me out because in summer it is VERT oily even for my combination skin!
I bought this foundation about two months ago and I only used it about 4 times. Although I have the perfect colour for my skin, I cannot help but to dislike this product. After a few minutes on my skin it looks cakey and leaves my skin oily and dirty looking. In the end I gave it to my mom and it looks perfect on her skin. It lasts forever and ever and makes her look years younger. Maybe this foundation just didn't fit my skin tone like I hoped it would.
This is a perfect foundation for dry skin! It gives my skin a nice dewy finish and evened out my complexion. It has a light floral scent. I love that it is light weight but still has perfect amount coverage. It doesn't feel cakey at all. The only downfall is it doesn't last long, so powder is needed.
I've wanted to try this for ages and finally I did. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. My colour is 230 - Natural Buff which makes my skin tone perfectly.

This foundation didn't really fit me at all. The colour selection isn't great for darker skin tones so I chose 320 Honey Beige which is about a shade or two too dark for me but I assumed it would work as this foundation is only light to medium coverage. It looked OK when I applied it but as the reviewer below mentioned it oxidized to a orange colour. I set this foundation with powder around my t-zone to lessen the dewiness but it still seemed to get really shiny after 3hrs. The biggest problem I have with this foundation is transfer, it get onto everything from scarves to earphones and comes off with even the slightest hint of perspiration. It just never seems to set completely. I will probably use this foundation up but I won't repurchase.
i love Revlon Photo Ready foundation and for the past 2 years its been the only foundation i have used. i love it because it gives me dewy look and its just stunning on my skin. it doesnt go white when you take a photo (SPF 20) and its got good coverage. i use 008 Golden Beige.

here is my pro's:
- goes on smoothly
- blends in well
- matches my skin tone perfectly
- feels light and airy
- contains and spf
Here is my con's:
- does not have a pump, so i tend to use more
- coverage is really really light. but the foundation is blendable so you can add another layer (but why if you wanting to keep it light)
- it didnt give my skin a dewy look
- it didnt stay put - oxidized - eeuuuuu
i was a little disappointed that the make up failed me after only 2-3 hours. i dont use powders as i have dry skin so maybe if you use the powder over the foundation it would be better - but i dont want to do that. like i said, i have dry skin but sometimes do find oiliness around my nose and this foundation made my nose very oily and actually just disappeared off. For that reason i dont think this will work for girls with oily skins at all.
from my photos you will see its almost the same colour as my Revlon Photo Ready so i will use this on weekends or days where i dont need more cover as i find this foundation to be more like a tinted moisturizer.
it does come with a great shade selection for girls who struggle to find the perfect shade.
