I'm not normally a fan of liquid lipsticks, as they tend to end up looking sloppy after minimal wear. However, I'm starting to think that I just haven't found the perfect formula yet and this might just be the one...
Maybelline Stay 24 Ultimate Red promises up to 24h of sleek red colour. While this claim seems a little too good to be true, I'm finding the lasting power of this two-step formula rather impressive. Step 1 is the liquid colour and Step 2 is a balm to top it off. The colour dries beautifully to a true blue-toned red, perfect for looking glam and making teeth appear whiter. After it sets, it does not budge or smudge in the slightest.
To be honest, I ignored Step 2 as I prefer a more matte finish to my lippie and I'm dedicated to my Kiehl's #1 Lip Balm. I would perhaps use a lip brush to apply the product more tidily, as I'm not a fan of sponge lipgloss-style applicators. All in all, this is a great budget product to pick up for that classic red lip look. Don't miss out!
