Hi, everyone! If you have found this review, then, I am so glad! In fact, I regard this post as more than just a mere review, but more as a testimony which I hope inspires many.

Growing up, I have always had problematic skin. My skin problems were more than just the usual teenage-age acne irritations or the annoying zit. My skin problems were quite serious- I had eczema, which I am thankful I outgrew by adulthood, my skin was two-toned, whereby I had white spots, whereby, in the Afrikaans language they call it 'wit flekke'. I had dry skin and on top of that I STILL had to deal with the 'usual' acne problem that happens in your teen years. So, yes, having problematic skin was not easy; I felt insecure, I hated looking at myself in the mirror and I had a life-long dream of going to the dermatologist; those amazing skin specialist who could give you beautiful skin...provided you had lots of money of cause *shakes head*.

Let me just say that I am so grateful for the revolution in skin care, globally. Back in the day, you really needed to go to the Dermatologist to get that gorgeous skin you were after, but thanks to advanced technology etcetera, we can purchase the exact same products which would have once -upon- a -time only been available in the doctor's surgery.

For many, many years, I have tried many skin care products, jumping from brand to brand just to find the one miracle cure I was looking for. Unfortunately, NOTHING worked. While I was still attending primary and high school, my parents supplied and bought all those skin care products for me, and for that, I will always be grateful. I clearly remember that my mom bought my first Neutrogena product roughly 7 years ago. It was something that was recommended to me at the store by the sales lady. Of cause I did not think it would work; I lost trust in every product, but boy oh boy, let me tell you - MY LIFE CHANGED THE DAY NEUTROGENA BECAME A PART OF MY LIFE; IT WAS AS THOUGH I FOUND MY SOUL MATE, MY KIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR.

I have been using Neutrogena for 7 years now and I will never ever change my skin care product. With just one look at my skin you'll think I never had problems. after I used it for the first time, I started getting compliments relating to my skin. Hence, the product's effectiveness is clearly visible, not just to me, but to everyone else around me as well.

Neutrogena just gets better and better by the day! The new Hydro Boost range is bursting with that hydrating content that is so vital and needed in a skin product and has become part of my skin care regime both at morning and night times. I love my water gel cleanser and moisturizer !

I love looking at all the Neutrogena products at the store and it gets me quite excited try to decide which one I want to purchase! It's worth every daaaarn cent, because it's just THAT AMAZING!

I received PACK 2 with: the HYDRO BOOST WATER, GEL CLEANSER, MICELLAR WATER & HYDRO BOOST GEL MOISTURISER. My skin-type is normal, although I suffer from an oily T-Zone and dry areas around my nose and on my cheeks and tiny pimples on my forehead.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Firstly, I must make it known that I am absolutely smitten by the color of the entire range! I am hopelessly in love with anything blue.
The whole range is available both in-store AND online at Clicks, Dischem and Foschini.

HYDRO BOOST WATER GEL CLEANSER
The gel cleanser comes in a nifty 200 ml bottle with an adequately secure squeeze-pump mechanism. The bottle is quite elongated so it is comfortable to hold in your hands. Totally travel-friendly for a gal on the move!
A description of the product, directions and ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle. This product is made in Greece and should be used within 12 months of opening the product. The overall packaging of the product is simple, but sophisticated.

The gel cleanser is said to be lightweight and gets activated with water. It claims to lather away dirt, oil and make-up while leaving your skin bursting with hydration! It contains the much coveted Hyaluronic acid that naturally occurs in the skin- which basically boosts hydration and locks it in!

When I first tried it, I only used one pump and it was suffice for my entire face and neck area. The cleanser itself is transparent and has a slightly runny consistency. It lathers up decently and my face felt squeaky clean after use!

HYDRO BOOST MICELLAR WATER
The packaging of this bottle just screams, ” TRAVEL FRIENDLY!”. The product basically comes in a 200 ml bottle which is quite narrow. I prefer this bottle shape to the Garnier micellar water bottle shapes. It can be held much easily in one hand. It has a screw on cap, so it is totally leak-proof! The product retails for R99.95 which is slightly more than the Garnier micellar water.

I first tried out this micellar water under dire circumstances. In the small, little town where I live, the municipal water had been cut for just over three days. Our water tank was being a tad moody, and I had no water to wash my face! So, I grabbed this gem of a product and used it to clean my face and take out any impurities. I had no makeup on, and this cannot replace cleansing, however, my skin felt SO nourished and clean. The next day, I had no signs of any new breakouts and my skin was so supple!

HYDRO BOOST GEL CREAM
I tried this luxurious cream as soon as my package arrived! The product comes in a thick plastic 50ml container. The plastic container is recyclable. I would have ideally preferred a tube to squeeze the product out, purely for hygienic reasons. I do not like digging my fingers into products and this would be ever-so-slightly cumbersome for traveling! Nevertheless, I rubbed it into my skin using circular motions as per the instructions, and my skin immediately felt more hydrated and felt so supple!

For R139.95, a generous amount of product is provided. I basically used the same amount of product that I would use if it was my normal moisturizer. The product is particularly for very dry skin and does not have any SPF, so a sun screen is required. The consistency of the product is as per the name- it is a gel. It is extremely light! It absorbs into the skin without any haste. I’ve had so much grief in the past with my Eucerin day cream because it was just too thick and heavy.

Needless to say, I fell head over heels in love with this product!

DRY SKIN IS CAUSED BY A LACK OF LIPIDS OR OIL IN THE SKIN. WITH DEHYDRATED SKIN, THERE IS A LACK OF WATER IN THE STRATUM CORNEUM- THE UPPERMOST LAYER OF THE SKIN.

ANYONE can experience dehydrated skin. You do not have to have dry skin to have dehydrated skin. Oily and combination skin types can also experience dehydrated skin! That’s something I didn’t know…
Before using this range, I really didn’t realize how dull my skin actually was!
I blocked off my eyes in one of my pictures because I look as dead as my skin. LOL

My routine consisted of mainly using the cleanser and the gel cream. I used the micellar water to remove my makeup, specifically my eye-makeup. The micellar water was not used on a daily basis.
The cleanser has a gentle smell, and left my skin feeling SUPER DUPER clean! Most face cleansers usually dry my skin out. Boo! However, this face cleanser, containing hyaluronic acid, left my skin soft and hydrated. I used one pump for my entire face and the face wash itself lathers up relatively nicely. All in all, I now look forward to washing my face!

DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS RANGE ONLY COMBATS DEHYDRATED SKIN, I DID HAVE A FEW BREAKOUTS AND MY BLACKHEADS AROUND MY NOSE AREA WERE NOT REDUCED. I FELT THAT MY PORES FELT MUCH CLEANER THAN USUAL AFTER USING THIS RANGE. THE CLEANSER IS DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED AND CONTAINS PERFUME.

The micellar water has a subtle but refreshing scent and also contains hyaluronic acid. The entire range does. My skin felt clean and extra supple after using this micellar water! Waterproof makeup was not an issue to remove! Although, I do feel that my Garnier oil-infused micellar water removes my makeup more effectively in the sense that less rubbing and product is needed. This product is also more expensive than the Garnier micellar water, but all in all, I would definitely use this product again and I MAY consider repurchasing!

How does micellar water work? Firstly, it can be used on ALL skin types and is exceptionally beneficial for dry and sensitive skin types. Now back to how it works…

IT IS LIKE A MINI SPONGE THAT MOPS UP DIRT AND MAKEUP USING MICELLAR TECHNOLOGY. A MICELLE IS A SMALL PARTICLE IN THE WATER THAT HAS AN OIL-LOVING (OR HYDROPHOBIC FOR ALL YOU SCIENCE-LOVERS OUT THERE) TAIL THAT TRAPS DIRT, OIL AND MAKEUP! THE WATER-LOVING (HYDROPHILIC) HEAD ALLOWS THE MICELLE TO DISSOLVE IMPURITIES RESULTING IN THEM BEING EASILY WIPED AWAY. THAT’S WHY WE NEED NOT RINSE OUR FACES AFTER USING MICELLAR WATER!

There is a bit of a debate, so to speak, about the effectiveness of micellar water compared to face wipes. Face wipes are often seen as a convenience product. They’re super great for when you get home late or when you do not have access to water (because that’s what happens when you live in South Africa). The majority of beauty experts recommend that face wipes shouldn’t be used everyday and nor should they replace our usual facial cleansers. They recommend using them to remove eye makeup and then following with a face wash. Micellar water has increased EXPONENTIALLY in popularity recently and some ladies view it as a gentle cleanser on its own. There has been some backlash and people are two-minded as to whether it is in fact good enough to completely replace our daily face cleansers because it does not have a deep-cleaning function.
Fun fact: I use micellar water to wash away hard-to-remove stains from my makeup brushes and beautyblender. I find that micellar water is less harsh to use on my beautyblender as opposed to makeup remover. This micellar water was really effective for removing stains from my makeup brushes and beautyblender! It gets a MASSIVE thumbs up from me for this purpose!

Now for my favourite part of the range…the gel cream!

I previously discussed my distaste regarding the packaging, however the product itself is FANTASTIC! I was initially using the same amount of gel as if it were my normal moisturizer. I found that it was too much product and I lessened the amount over time.

The product should be massaged in circular motions into the skin. It absorbs so quickly and leaves my sin looking supple and “bouncy”! My skin definitely looked AND felt renewed! This product does not have SPF so I had to use a sunscreen in conjunction with it. The gel cream is exceptionally light and contrary to your first instincts, it’s not sticky at all! One might think a gel would leave your face looking greasy…

I also used the gel cream to accentuate my highlight when applying makeup. I would dot a bit of the gel cream on my cheekbones and then apply my liquid highlighter and top it all off with a powder highlighter! Needless to say, I was glowing all day long, baby!

EVEN WITHOUT MAKEUP, MY FACE HAS THIS BEAUTIFUL, NATURAL GLOW AFTER USING THE GEL CREAM. I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AND I WILL DEFINITELY REPURCHASE IT!
MY SKIN FELT AMAZING AND LOOKED EVEN MORE AMAZING AFTER USING THIS RANGE! IT WAS EASY TO USE AND CHANGE MY SKINCARE ROUTINE AND INCORPORATE THESE PRODUCTS INTO MY ROUTINE. THIS RANGE DID NOT HELP MY OTHER SKIN CONCERNS, LIKE BLACKHEADS, BUT THIS RANGE WASN’T AIMED AT DOING THAT…

Absolutely loved trying these products out.

When I received this product, I had a very dry skin and had rash all over my face. I started using the product and within 2 days the rash had disappeared. It's been a full month and a couple of days using the Neutrogena Hydrate products, my skin has never looked this beautiful, its flawless, evenly toned and my complexion is back.
I'm happy with the product, after trying out so many products.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser
A few weeks ago I was sent the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost range to try out and review. I was a bit weary with using the product at first because my skin is quite temperamental with new products, but I went forth and used it. I have used a gel cleanser before, which all seemed to damage my skin, so I opted for a cream cleanser. With this product though I found it to be some-what different. It wasn’t as soapy as other gel cleansers which was great, and didn’t sting my skin.

Despite this and I did love it at first, after the third or fourth use, my skin started to feel taught and tight, and the next morning to my horror I had a patchy ashy complexion, where my skin started to flake around my cheek area. I stopped using the cleanser immediately.

I was sent three products, their Hydro Boost Cleanser Micellar Water, Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser and their Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser.

Hydro Boost it certainly does! If your skin is not temperamental around use of different products.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Micellar Water

I was sent three products, their Hydro Boost Cleanser Micellar Water, Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser and their Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser. This product I loved the most out of the entire range.

There is such hype nowadays around micellar water and its benefits to your skin, and I have tried quite a few on the market, and this one comes close to one of the more expensive ranges I have used.
At first like the gel cleanser, it stung my skin, and I was very worried as to what it might do in the long run. After stopping use of all products after the third or fourth day, and when my skin settled a bit, I opted to just using this product out of the range that was sent to me.

I use it once a day at in evening before applying my night cream.
I noticed a slight change in my complexion which was great. I used this product every alternate day, so my skin didn’t react as drastically to it. I am still using it now, which is a good sign.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream
One of the products I received was the Hydro Boost Gel Cream.
I do love gel creams, as they aren’t as heavily oil based as others and they don’t leave a greasy film over your skin. I enjoyed this product at first as well like the cleanser, but my skin reacted so badly to the new range that I opted to not use any after about the fourth or fifth day.

The nice thing about this product was that it is moisture intense, perhaps too much so for my skin or too little perhaps, or my skin was just reacting to something else. It was lightweight, and non-greasy, which I loved most. What I didn’t like was that my skin still felt taught and tight after its use.

I can’t comment on what my skin would have looked like if I had used it for a longer period of time. But after my reaction to the product I don’t think I would have been able to walk outside without a ton of makeup.

Would you recommend this product to someone else?
If you have combination skin sure. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it.

Absolutely cannot stress enough how amazing this range is!

I suffer from dry and sensitive skin and I love the fact that these products are suitable for sensitive skin.

Been using the range for 2 weeks now and I can see amazing results!I suffer from occasional breakouts and when I started using this range I haven't had a breakout since,it keeps my skin looking healthy and supple all day long.

The Hydro Boost Micellar water removes all my makeup from my face,I also love the fact that there is no need to rinse your face after using this product and another bonus is it smells AMAZING!


I suffer from dry skin as well and I love that fact that the Hydro Boost water gel cleanser doesn't leave my skin feeling dehydrated one bit,it hydrates my skin thoroughly and leaves my skin feeling healthy and clear.

My absolute favorite item from the range is the Hydro Boost Gel Cream ,amazing texture and leaves your skin feeling so refreshed and revitalized,definite must have item and you rarely find such a high end moisturizer at such a low cost.


I would definitely be buying this range again and would recommend it to anyone who is having problems with their current skincare range.

It's very rare to see & feel results immidiately from beauty product, but with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost I was really impressed with how well the product delivered.

Funny enough I was in the market to find a new skin care regime as lately my skin was an odd mix of oily and extra dry. I was dabbling in a few products and testing out the pros and cons before setting on a brand when these beauties landed on my desk.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost range to hit South Africa, while Neutrogena is a firm favorite amongst many South Africans, I feel as if this range is really going to blow everyone away.

What I think of the product :

Firstly, I really like the packaging of the product. It is a 200ML pump bottle, which is pretty great considering the fact that I wash my face a few times a day. The initial design of the bottle gives you an impression of water or hydration, which weirdly gives me the illusion that I will have perfectly hydrated skin. The smell is AMAZING, it has a sweet yet not over powering bubblegum smell. The cleansing gel is clear. I personally feel as if a little goes a long way with this product. The cleanser does not foam as it is a gel but it cleanses quite throughly and removes all traces of make up including water proof mascara. I actually was in the market to purchase a new skin care range, While I don't have problematic skin, I feel like I needed to up my game in the skin care department. I have sensitive skin or abrasive products are obviously a no-go for my skin.i like that the product is mild but effective and did not irritate my skin at all.

What I think of the product :

I really truly love this product, my skin has never felt this soft, smooth and most importantly hydrated. This product has a thin consistency that feels watery yet still creamy. My skin looks less dull and tired. I have combination skin so I as concerned that it will make my skin look oiler but It felt hydrated not any oilier. I definitely recount this moisturizer.

What I have to say :

I love micellar water, specifically the garnier one. Its a quick alternative to cleaning your face/ make up off especially when you're feeling a little lazy. I quite like this product, it removes my make up quite quickly and it smells so so good! It has similar packaging as the facial cleanser however it does have a screw on cap. I personally would prefer a pump bottle for the sake of convenience. I like how this cleanser makes my skin feel after i remove my make up, which is hydrated and non sticky.

My final thoughts:

I genuinely love this range. I have used Neutrogena before and it was bit too harsh for my ( then ) teenaged skin . I love how this range is perfect for sensitive while still providing a through out cleaning and moisturizing. I would love to see a scrub added to the range as well as a night cream, serum and eye cream. My boyfriend loves this range just as much that he wanted to use the cleanser as face wash ( HAHA!). Im very happy with the results as my skin looks less oily, hydrated, smooth and SUPER soft.

HYDRO BOOST MICELLAR WATER

I'm not a big fan of this micellar water as I need a lot of product to take my make up off as with my previous Micellar water I didn't need that much product and it lasted me much longer than this one.

So I bought the Neutrogena® range at Dischem, aaaaaannnd here's what I thought...

At first I was a bit hesitant to buy this product because I have such sensitive skin, my skin reacts badly to new products and it gets all red and won't calm down. But after the reviews I saw on Beauty Bulletin I decided to head to Dischem, after a few days of contemplating whether or not I would purchase it, and I did.

So the first day I used it, I tried the Micellar water which made my face sting and the Hydro Boost® cleanser made my face go bright red around the cheek area, which was expected. Then I tried the Hydro Boost gel face cream for dry skin, although made my skin feel so smooth, didn't calm the redness down which I was hoping it would do. BUT.... I was sent a few of the new Neutogena Hydro Boost products to test out and, boy, have they come in handy! I have been travelling so much in the last few weeks, constant flights between Durban and Johannesburg, and my skin was taking a beating!

I'm sure you've experienced it before, as soon as you start to ascend to a higher altitude (i.e. flying in general or travelling between cities such as Durban and Johannesburg) you start to feel your facial skin tightening and your lips needing a couple extra coats of lip balm. Well, try doing that every week!

My Neutogena Hydro Boost products couldn't have come at a better time!

I was sent three products, their Hydro Boost Cleanser Micellar Water, Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser and their Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser.

Hydro Boost it certainly does!

My favourite product of the lot was the Gel Cream Moisturiser! The texture of the product is unbelievable and the fragrance is super fresh and clean. In my few weeks of using it, it certainly did a great job of keeping my skin hydrated! My only qualm was that it was slightly too hydrating when I was in Durban as it has been so hot and humid lately! Don't get my wrong, I'll take oilier skin over dry skin any day (oiler skin doesn't crack/wrinkle) but I have proffered using it when I am in the harsher Johannesburg climate.

Neutrogena cleansers are my absolute favourite drugstore cleansers, so it was no surprise to me that I loved their new Hydro Boost offering! I already use their Fresh Foaming Cleanser (which I believe is a fave of Kim Kardashian) and their Spot Clearing Facial Wash which I can't live without. Again, the texture and fragrance of this cleanser is tops, my skin doesn't feel squeaky clean (i.e. taught) after using it, and it also has an "open-close" turning pump which helps when I travel.

I was neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by the Micellar Water, I was just "whelmed" as Bianca would say in 10 Things I Hate About You. Micellar water is such a hyped about product these days and I have tried a bunch! This one did the job, but I can't really tell a huge difference between this, my Garnier Pure Active (I haven't tried the Oil Infused one yet) and Bioderma Micellar Water. Maybe this is a good thing though? It's equally as good as other leading micellar waters.

Hyaluronic acid is the active ingredient in this range. It's moisture-binding characteristic is exceptionally important when it comes to skin aging. One of the qualities of youthful skin is its ability to hold water and retain a balanced amount of moisture. As we age, our skin loses the ability to maintain this vital, plumping moisture as well as it once did. The result is visible loss of firmness, pliability, and diminished appearance of plumpness and suppleness.

Hyaluronic acid can enhance moisture content beyond comparison with anything else, and at the same time revitalize skin’s outer layers so they look and feel softer, smoother, and, especially, radiantly hydrated! That’s how it instantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid is quite high up in the ingredient list so that is always a plus, which is especially great for a drugstore product.

Used gel as a primer as well ?

Been using this product for 2 weeks and my face feels amazing, I now wear less make up my face feels amazingly soft and clean. The hydro boost water gel is my favorite because it is not heavy on the skin and it instantly hydrates the skin. You do not need apply a lot of it only a dip with your finger and you are good to go. For the lazy nights from late night clubbing the Hydro Boost micellar water has been my savior 5 mins and my skin is make up free, I love the fact that there's no need to rinse so quick and easy. I've been using the Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser every morning and evening for the past two weeks, and my skin looks and feels amazing!
It's definitely worth the buy!

I love this cleanser, its value for your money it has a lovely refreshing scent and it actually hydrates your skin. After using it for about three weeks now there is still a lot of product left. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants their skin to just be healthier.

It left my skin feeling so good from day one until today, I don't have to worry about always keeping moisturizer in my bag now because i generally have dry skin. This has helped me so much. I find i can even go for about an hour or two without having to use the gel-cream. The best part is ever since i started with these products i wear minimal makeup because i genuinely love how my skin is looking and feeling.

Price: for R99.95 and i still basically have more than half of the bottle left, its worth it. You can basically go for two months straight or three if you want to push it, with one bottle. Like i said value for your money.

Would i Repurchase them : without a doubt! small price to pay for amazing looking skin.

Gel-cream

what i love most about the cream is how intensely hydrating it is, i use only a little bit daily and im sorted. No complaints about the cream at all. The price is a little bit steep for such a small container, but its actually worth it.

Wipes

I read another review from a makeup artist who said it was love at first swipe and i could not agree more. They are so effective, i also use them when i have dark circles around my eyes i wipe at night and apply a little bit of the cream and wake up with the circles GONE!!! They are always with me, very effective in removing make up quick and simple. I love them.

Basically i love everything its great.

Its the end off a hydrating two week trial period. Firstly a big thank you to Beauty Bulletin and Neutrogena SA for choosing us to be one off the BB influencers to put the Neutrogena hydro boost range to the test.
Firstly lets share a small background on my skin. I have very oily skin and being a makeup lover my makeup is sliding around for most of the day. I am a huge sucker especially if the word MATTIFYING is in the product description. I have never really had a skin care routine that i can faithfully stick too so i did my research and an interesting point that struck me was that not only dry skin tones need hydration but oily skin also lacks hydration hence why oil builds up.
I got sent the water gel cleanser, water gel moisturizer and the micellar water.
Moisturiser:
This moisturiser was a real winner for me from the refreshing fragrance to the non sticky feel i can say it instantly hydrated my skin. I kid you not and you will see it in my before and after pics to follow after first use my skin looked more healthy and hydrated opposed to the dull look it normal has. It is a lightweight gel like "cream" that literally feels like you massaging water into your skin.
PRO TIP: this water gel makes the perfect makeup primer so to say. I noticed that it allowed for my foundation to go on more smoothly than any other primer i use and my makeup lasted a tad bit longer. I also used the water gel on my lips before i went to bed and it pretty much cured my atrocious chapped lips.
I used this gel religiously morning and evening it didnt give me the matte look i want but i still love it anyway and i give it a 4/5. ????
Cleanser:
I probably am the queen of getting cleanser into my eyes and leaving it burning and red and basically not fancy like the girls in the adverts you see on T.V. However this cleanser is BOMB! I used a generous three pumps of cleanser morning and night and i really got into and around my eye area and in the two weeks it never burned ever! It has the same  refreshing fragrance as the gel. The only downside to this cleanser is even though it activates with water it doesnt foam up as much i would like it to but it does the job and it excels even more if used along with a facial brush. The water gel cleanser gets a 4/5. ????
Micellar water:
When it comes to removing makeup and impurities micellar water is my BFF. Since the big hype about micellar water a few years ago i have been using the Avon micellar water and the Garnier micellar water. Both of this micellar water left my eyes irritated especially when i got up close and personal when it came to removing stubborn mascara and gel eyeliners. However the pro about the Neutrogena micellar water is i could have poured half the bottle in my eye and it would not have irritated my sensitve eyes ? (please do not try this at home?) the only downside to it though is i have to use twice as much product to properly remove my layers of mascara than i would my Garnier micellar water. I have mixed feelings about this product from the range so it gets an on the fence 3/5 from me ???
PRO TIP: pour some micellar water in a cup and throw in your dirty makeup brushes in the liquid to spot clean your brushes.

To sum it up i have immensely enjoyed using this range. Out of the three products i would defintely repurchase the water gel moisturiser and the cleanser. With regards to the micellar water i personally would not buy it even though i love that it doesnt cause havoc to my eyes. I really wanted to try the Neutrogena micellar wipes so i will certainly be picking up the micellar wipes once im done with the micellar water.
Money wise i personally feel the water gel is slightly pricey (student budget problems) it retails for R139, 95. Although a little bit does go a long way with the gel. The cleanser and micellar water / wipes both retail for an affordable R99, 95.

I've used this product for a week and 4 days straight. It's not a miracle product but I won't lie, I have already started seeing the change on my skin and I absolutely love it.

For a good year I have experienced a very oily skin which get irritating and very embarrassing in public. So I started using treatment for oily skin which dried out my skin so much just when I have a bare face. However I still encounter oily skin with my full cover make up on.

I was eagered but skeptical to try out the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost Range when I heard that I'll be doing a trail on it. Now that I have used it, even just for these few days I must say this is just what I needed.

Included in my range was the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Facial Wipes which I can not stress enough how good they are. The wipes are very thick, soft and very good smelling with just the right amount of fresh cleansing lotion to wipe off that full cover make up and stubborn impurities. I used these wipes when I came back exhausted from my late classes in the evening. I felt that I didn't have to use the rest of the products as my skin was refreshed and moisturized. Also I have very sensitive skin but these facial wipes topped my expectations. This is definitely my go to. This product is available at in-store and online at Clicks, Dischem and Foschini at just R99.95 for 25 sheets which is a bit too much but for it effectiveness I would highly recommend.

I used the Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser. Being new to this product, first impression it comes in a nice packaging which is convenient to use it's light weight and removes that excess make up from last night. I used this every morning to cleanse my face just before I kick start my day. Just a little bit of amount, goes a long way. Rub into face and rinse off then tap with dry towel then I had fresh, clear and supple skin. The fact that I didn't feel any sensitivity was a bonus. This product is available in-store and online at Clicks, Dischem and Foschini at just R99.95 for 200ml for purchase.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is enriched with gel that provides a long lasting, intense boost of hydration to moisture skin. Just like the Water Gel Cleanser this is very light weight. I used this after I washed my face with the Water Gel Cleanser for the complete hydration. It's left my skin feel soft, fresh with a good glow. This is an oil- free product so I enjoyed this product more when I had a bare face. With make up it tends to make me feel my skin is back to it oiliness. Fortunately for me it was just a good amount of oiliness which I was able to deal with. I would recommend this product if you don't have an intense oily skin. This product is available in-store and online at Clicks, Dischem and Foschini at just R139.95 for 120m for purchase.

Overall, I am hard nut to crack when it comes to skin products but this range did topped my list. The products are sold individually so you can choose which you think will work for you but price of advice, it's always ideal to get the complete range to feel the complete result. Neutrogena also has a Micellar Water which works both as a make remover and cleanser and can also be used as a toner (Please checkout other BB influencers reviews on this product).

With no doubt, I will continue using this range to keep my skin hydrated and soft feeling and the glow it deserves. This is just my experience. Try it yourself and spread the word.

These products always left my skin feeling clean and fresh.. Even though I got a weird rash beginning of the trial .. I still love how clean my skin feels ,all dirt gone, hydrates and moisturize .. Love them. Especially for people who use make up everyday. .10/10

My routine:
1.Splash water on face then apply water gel cleanser with hands. But if I had make up on id use the facial sponges ..
Rinse with warm running water.
2. Pat dry and apply miceller water using cotton pad.
3. Wait for my face to dry off then apply a bit of the water gel.

Best way to keep skin clean and hydrated. ?

"Work hard, play hard" is definitely how I live my life and can often leave my skin dehydrated. The air conditioning at the office, exposure to the sun when on holiday and the partying can often leave me with dry skin. Drinking water and eating well helps to bring the skin's moisture back from the inside but I need a little booster from the outside. This review came in perfect time after a great festive season. BB sent me Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser, Facial Wipes and Gel Cream. This is how it all went down:

Facial wipes: We've all had the experience of stubborn waterproof mascara, right? Having to soap up the eyes, repeatedly washing them to remove the black stuff. Losing lashes and sometimes being left with racoon rings around the eyes. These wipes have eliminated that stress! The moisture softens the day's mascara, gently removes eyebrow shading and matte lipstick while leaving the skin refreshed, highly moisturised and smelling great. They were also very helpful in removing the remnants of my hair products that often seep onto my face from my hairline. I used my Neutrogena Hydro Boost facial wipes to remove excess hair treatment when styling my natural hair. It is worth mentioning that the wipes did not burn my eyes and did not have a harsh alcohol smell. This was definitely my favourite product of the range.

Water Gel Cleanser: Washing my face became a time that I looked forward to because the product smells and feels so great. Many face wash products leave the skin dry in an effort to thoroughly cleanse the skin. Others leave the skin unwashed, with a new layer of oil in an effort to keep the skin moisturised. To my pleasure, the Hydro Boost Water Gel did both well - it cleanses the skin and leaves it moisturised after rinsing, not leaving my skin feeling like I need a liquid toner afterwards.

Gel Cream: Using the Gel Cream during the day left my skin slightly dry which was understandable due to my acute sunburn that had my nose peeling but I switched back to my normal day cream and started using the Gel Cream in the evenings. This helped me lock in moisture that I gain while sleeping and had me waking up with a beautiful glow every morning. I would recommend that the Gel Cream be used at night while using an SPF based moisturiser during the day for the best results.

I will definitely continue using the products because I love what they have done for me. I can confidently say that I have bounced back! #AlwaysBounceBack

I was really looking forward to trying this range. With my dry skin the hydro boost products sounded like a dream.

I’ve been using the products (water gel, micellar water, facial wipes, and cleanser) for a few weeks now. When I first started using the products, I must say I was expecting a lot more. Maybe I was treating the products like the Holy Grail, but all I needed was patience. As I mentioned I have dry skin and always seem to have a dry patch somewhere. For the first time it’s been on my one eyelid. It did seem to have gone away but then it came back and was worse. After using the products for a decent amount of time, the dry patch is slowly starting to clear. The products and especially the water gel are working their magic slowly but surely to combat my dry and dehydrated skin.

In saying that, I have enjoyed using this range on a whole. My face definitely feels more supple and on a whole feels a lot more hydrated throughout the day.

How I’ve used the products:
In the morning I use the cleanser in the shower to clean my skin of dead skin cells. Once out the shower I give my skin an extra cleanse with the micellar water on a cotton pad. I then use a generous amount of the water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips. Then comes putting on my face as I like to say (not that I use much makeup ;)).

At night I get lazy at times and only use the cleanser sometimes. I use a facial wipe every night to get rid of makeup and impurities that have come to visit during the day. I give my face a good clean and then will sometimes do 2 rounds of cotton pads using the micellar water. I make sure the pad is clean before putting on a generous amount of water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips.

I think this is a great range despite some negatives. I definitely think there is a product for everyone. The products are totally affordable and easily accessible from Clicks, Dis-Chem and Foschini, instore and online.

I would definitely buy the cleanser and the water gel again.

The Neutrogena face wipes are amazing. Great after a night out to remove mascara and make up. It's quick and it doesn't dry my skin out. Bought a pack for the car, my handbag and my room :) my skin feels refreshed and clean.

All I can honestly and truthfully say about this product is AMEN!

For the first time in my life, (and I wasn't paid to say this) has a product actually done for me what it said it would do.

I am not usually one to believe anything the packaging says when it comes to facial moisturizers because I've spent thousands in my life hoping that just one of the products for dry skin will actually "cure" it and nothing from R50 - R1500 has done what it says it will do until now.

I am delighted. I thought I would enter this trial to test the product just for fun and see what it was like but I never even remotely considered I'd be converted .... but I have. I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Range in the form of the Cleanser, the Micellar water and the Gel-cream moisturiser.

I used this for about two weeks and I loved the Micellar water and the cleanser however am not such a fan of the moisturiser.

As someone who has very dry skin and who constantly suffers from dehydration I was eager to try this range and delighted when Beauty Bulletin inked me to participate in this product review.

I started my routine with the Micellar water, using it as a make-up remover and toner. I found it great for opening up the pores and cleansing off face make-up however it is not entirely effective when it comes to tougher bits such as eye make-up or matte lipstick. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Micellar water is really hydrating and cleansing however the effects are not long -lasting and it is highly necessary as with most toners to follow up with a moisturiser.

Next I would use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cleanser and this was a good follow up for the Micellar as it removes the rest of any make-up residue and leaves your skin feeling super clean and soft. I would definitely repurchase this if my skin wasn't so difficult as it makes all areas but my T-zone feel super bouncy.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-cream moisturiser was somewhat disappointing. Firstly I found the texture to be a little watery and it didn't smell so great. I also found it to have the opposite effect on my skin as it was drying to my skin post application. This might just be the dry skin effect mentioned before however I asked a friend to try this and she found she experienced the same results.

All the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Range products were good quality and of excellent market price. I did not experience many issues and appreciated the range other than factors such as the smell and texture of the gel-cream and the non-lasting hydrating effects.

I loved the packaging and am so grateful to Beauty Bulletin for allowing me to participate in this review process.

Every single day I keep falling more and more in love with this range.

I am on my third week of using these products and my skin is honestly transforming itself.

Now, usually when I want my skin to become healthier and super glowy, I usually just do the usual, drink water and eat my veggies (I HATE THEM VEGGIES) and after a few days my skin starts looking fresh, but since end of last year, my diet hasn't been great at all (I am not proud) which has resulted in my skin looking dull and unhealthy looking.

When Beauty Bulletin sent 3 of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost products my way, I was beyond excited! My skin needed this, and oh boy how I was so right!!

I received the facial wipes, cleanser and gel to review. I used it religiously for two weeks and i can definitely say that it delivers on hydration 100%. My skin has never felt this hydrated and smooth. I did suffer from dry skin and my makeup use to never last the whole day especially now that its summer. Using this range made my skin hydrated and smooth so much so that my face felt completely hydrated throughout the day and my makeup never flaked!
The products are a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it! My skin did #AlwaysBouncebackSA

I have only been using the full Neutrogena Hydro Boost range (Water Gel Cleanser, Micellar Water and the Water Gel )for a month now and I have seen some amazing results. I have oily skin, which is prone to getting pimples, clogged pore and break outs which makes putting on makeup was a nightmare because come mid-day my face will be greasy and oilier than a frying pan. However, since I started using this amazing Neutrogena Hydro Boost range my oily skin, pimple face problems are a thing of the past. Unlike any, other product I have ever used in my this product cleanses and remove excess oils and leaves my skin looking and feeling soft and super hydrated. Since using the product I haven't had any pimples (even period pimples), my skin is clear, soft and hydrated, I have noticed the reduction of sports on my face and the minimization under eye bag and fine lines on my face. You will truly start seeing results from the very first wash. This product works wonders regardless of being a drug store product and very cost effective (a little goes a long way) and its worth every penny. I'm super happy and satisfied found my new skin product for life :-). this product range is truly a MUST HAVE!!!!

I was chosen by Beauty Bulletin to try out the Neutrogena Hydra Boost Range. The products which i received to review consisted of: Water Gel Cleanser, Micellar Water and Gel-Cream.

I generally have combination skin & i must say i am impressed with this range from Neutrogena. I tried the products for 2 weeks and this is the results i am left with.

Micellar Water
- This products is a COMPLETE MUST HAVE!!! Especially for those mornings when your just running late or rushing to get done for a night out. Yes you know what im talking about LADIES..... Thats why i rate this this product perfect for these situations.
It is easy to use, just apply to a cotton pad and wipe over your face until cotton pad is clear, to remove make-up and excess dirt in the evenings before getting into BED. Not only does it remove all impurities off your face but it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, purified and moisturised. So much so, that i dont even use a moisturiser herafter. Amazing hey?!?.. It doesnt strip your face from any natural oils so it leaves your skin feeling and looking amazing. I use it in the morning as a cleanser and in the evening as a toner.

Water Gel Cleanser
-Im sure your ladies experienced this before,where cleansers is either drying out your skin, burning your t-zone,leaving your skin all red and tight? Like the after effect of sunburn?

When i started using this product i wont lie i was skeptical because of those bad experiences, But when i started using it i got these small fine tiny pimples on my face but very few, this didnt stop me from using the product because of the cycle taking place. The product was purifying my skin from within, and a few days later my skin was completely clear and purified. The first day i used this product i went to the shopping mall WITHOUT ANY MAKE-UP ON!!!!! Yes ladies NO MAKE-UP ON! Thats just how REFRESHED my face felt. I felt Amazing, and till this day i am still using this product. I apply a peanut sized amount in my wet hands and lather over my dry face in circular motions. You probably wondering why DRY FACE? Its just a personal preference as personally the product works better on a dry surface than slipping and sliding all the product away, and removes the impurities much better. I use it every evening after the Micellar Water as to remove all that excess dirt on my pores.

Gel-Cream
-When i think of gel cream i normally think of waking up with oily skin or make-up dripping down your face during the day because of too much moisturiser on the skin? But not anymore!
Once i started using this product i never stopped. I just use a small button size of product and apply it to my skin after the micellar water & cleanser.This product leaves my skin feeling hydrated,youthful,glowy,healthy and instantly quench my skin on the first touch. I use it as a base under my make-up as a primer and in the evenings before getting into bed. I wake up feeling just as refreshed as when i applied it the night before.

I would definitely recommend these products for those with dry or combination skin. The quality is worth every cent of the total purchased. At a total for the whole pack amounts to R339.85

I'm absolutely loving this range so far it's doing wonders for my skin. I'm one week into using the following products

1. Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Facial Wipes

2. Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser

3. Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Gel-Cream

And I must say that my skin has never felt and looked this great and I'm definitely looking forward to continue using the #Hydroboost range especially in winter since my skin seems to experience more dehydration in winter.

I do not wear much make-up everyday the only make up that I do wear is eye make up which include mascara, liquid liner, eyebrow pencil, eye pencil and I apply a bit of blush to my cheeks.

The hydro boost facial wipes does not only remove my make up effectively but it leaves my skin feeling moisturized, before I would use ordinary make up removal wipes which would leave my skin farely dry after I've used them. With the Neutrogena hydro boost facial wipes I wouldn't have to put much pressure on my skin to remove my make I would just gently wipe my skin and all the products in the wipes would gently remove my make up which I love.

Every morning after I shower I would wet my face in the basin with cold water and would apply a dollop of my hydro boost water gel and massage into my face to remove all impurities in my skin and then rinse my face will cold water and generally dap the access water off my skin with a dry towel. My skin feels refreshed after washing it with the water gel and cold water I feel like it opens up my paws more.

The hydro boost gel-cream is my my favorite product out of the range and one of my beauty secretes is storing my gel-cream in the refrigerator to keep it cold and when applying it to my skin it feels amazing and soothes my skin and also for someone that has bags under their eyes like myself the cool gel-cream helps to reduce my puffy eyes in the morning.

My skin has a natural glow to it and appears to be smooth and silky. My experience with the Nuetrogena Hydro Boost range has been pleasant and satisfying and I'm happy with the outcome of the product.

Throughout the years I have suffered with dehydrated skin and tried many products on the market to hydrate my skin and I must say that I have now found a product that is gentle enough and works great for my skin. My skin feels hydrated from the inside out.

Its been 4 days since i started using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost product and i must say they are working wonders. Neutrogena absolutely nailed this range! My skin is more supple and looks glowy and youthful. Generally I would tend to skip moisturizer in the mornings as my skin got too greasy throughout the day, but with the Water Gel, my skin feels hydrated, not greasy, and my makeup glides on top beautifully. I loved this product so much I rushed out and bought the Hydro Boost Gel Cream for that extra punch in the evenings. I'm so obsessed with the Hydro Boost range, the scent is Aaaaa-mazing and is such value for money. My skin has never looked or felt better.
