Day 1. 😀 I am so excited to start this treatment! The Nioxin range is numbered according to what type of hair you have and how severe your hair loss/thinning is. I have the number six kit which is for noticeably thinning medium to coarse hair that is natural or chemically treated. I thought I’d tell you a little about my hair first and then, about how my first wash went. I will also do a video review as soon as I start seeing any changes. 🙂 MY HAIR Being indian generally means you have long, thick glorious hair. Unfortunately I don’t. About a year ago, my hair started to get very thin and weak. I used to wear it quite long, half way down my back or so, and I was forced to cut it short because it became quite evident that my hair was thinning out. It is generally quite moisturised but because I swim regularly, I wash it every day. I have never dyed or chemically treated my hair. I don’t straighten it or use a curling iron. At most I blow dry it and even, then I use a heat protection spray. I should also point out that I am vegetarian, people seem to think this is all related somehow and so in the spirit of full disclosure, I thought you should know. My normal shampoo is from The Body Shop. My hair also feels and smells great after I use it and unlike other shampoos, it doesn’t make my hair fall tonnes when I’m in the shower. THE FIRST WASH The treatment came with three products – a cleanser, scalp revitaliser and a scalp & hair treatment. The third product is a leave-in hair spray. I used a tiny bit of the cleanser and it foamed up quite a bit so I think it’ll last a while. The revitaliser is spread from scalp to ends and is left in for about 3 minutes. And then, I put in the spray. I did get a little bit of redness after I put in the spray but the box says that’s normal, so no reason to panic just yet. 🙂 I will post a videos and a couple photos soon! 🙂
