Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor in Faithful Fawn

I love the different shades and it lasts long the only downside it is vital to apply some lip moisturiser before applying it. My lips dried and cracked after a while

I must say I am really impressed with this lip color . I was never a believer of lip colors that could last a full business day but this for me is the ultimate . It does exactly as it says . My lips have color on them all day long .

The staying power is so powerful that at the end of the day its actually difficult to remove it lol . I really dont have a problem with having to remove it 2 or 3 times at the end of the day because it certainly does the job .

If you prefer a matt lip you can go that route or if you like a glossy lip you can always add gloss over it so its a dual product . They have really amazing colors .

This lipcolour has the staying power .It really impressed me .The downside for me was that I had to use a lip mousturiser before applying my colour otherwise my lips will get very very dry .I also didnt like the feel of the lipgloss so never used it .

Really loved the colour last on this one. Although the gloss adds for moisture I do prefer a straight on matte finish. The colour lasted long however I found it harsh on my lip.
While I would recommend it for people that prefer an all day colour with a shine, those that want a matte finish should rather opt out because using it without the gloss doesn't feel so pretty!

I found the packaging to be really cute it came it a clear box, so that made picking out the exact color I wanted so much easy other then that it has a pretty standard look. The lip color is two sided one with the gloss and the other with the lip color,this is quite different to anything I have ever seen before. It does have a douche applicator which from previous products makes application of product a breeze.


My thoughts about using the Revlon Colorstay 24 lip color :

Overall I really love this product from Revlon it's one of the best if not the best lip product I have ever used. I got a really great winter color which is a dark red color that seem to go great with my light caramel complexion. Application was such a joy, it just glided on so easy and control of product was a pleasure as it didn't go over my lips at all. The color payoff is super pigmented.

I then added the gloss to it and this made the color go pow!!! I decided to put the 24 hours to the test, which revlon claims it should last for. Sadly it wasn't at all for that long but a good solid 8-10 hours it lasted all day whilst at work. That is the longest any lip product has stay put on my lips and not a single smudge during the day. I had my lunch and numerous cups of coffee and not once has this color vanished from my lips the color stayed lightly tinted till I showered the evening.

I huge thumbs up from me , revlon gets my beauty candy loves stamp of approval.

I used the Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor in Stay Currant. The instructions for use were very clearly labelled on the side of the packaging the lipcolor came in. They stated that you’ll need to apply the colour onto bare lips and cover evenly. Now, because this is a long-stay lip colour, you’ll need to make sure you apply it very carefully, otherwise it’s going to be very difficult to wipe off.

I applied the colour first, as instructed. It was very easy to apply and I only had to go back into the tube once to get the full coverage I wanted. You can decide how deep you want the colour to be by while applying the colour. The more coats you put on, the deeper the colour will be.

After waiting for the colour to dry, which only took a few seconds, I applied the moisturiser. It is applied using a little brush, which I found to be inconvenient and irritating. The brush is too small to give you enough of the gloss to cover your whole lip. In fact, I had to dip into the gloss twice for the lower lip and twice again for the upper lip. The brush applicator is definitely a negative point for me.

The colour stayed on all day, but it did wear off as the day went on. The colour became less and less evident, especially after I’d had a meal. The moisturising topcoat, however, is a very good one and the glossy shine and comfortable feel lasts for a few hours.

If you are looking for an effective colorstay lipcolor that lasts for a number of hours and not necessarily the full 16 hours, then Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor would be for you. However, you’d have to either endure the little applicator brush for the moisturising topcoat, or you can wear a clear lip gloss or lip balm of your choice to keep your lips looking healthy and shiny.

I've used so many of these lip stick duo's that I've lost count. This amazing lip stick is meant to give 12 hours of colour. The actual lip stick is applied to lips and sort of hardens on lips, giving lips a plastic seal of colour, while the gloss adds a luscious shine to lips. The only problem I've ever had with this lipstick is sometimes the lipstick peels off here and there and looks really funny, I'm not sure if anyone else had that problem but I've had that problem. It's simple to remove the lipstick, all you do is use a little make up remover and gently wipe lips and you're good to go!

I absolutely love this lipstick. It is a bit pricey but I only have to apply it once a day as it does not fade or rub off so it does give me value for money. The colour works perfectly with my light skin tone and since I am not a fan of bright lipsticks on a normal day it works a treat for me. Paired with a lipgloss, you end up with super soft and moisturised lips.

I love this lipstick! i prefer the more red colour though. This lipstick lasts forever and sometimes if i fall asleep without taking it off I will even wake up with it so this lipstick can last longer than 12 hours.

It needs to be removed with makeup remover or vaseline. It looks great. The original price is a bit much but i always manage to get it on sale at clicks or dischem.

Love this lipstick and this specific colour! Long lasting lipstick and a lipgloss for that extra touch. Can be worn day and night. Does not easily rub off on glasses or clothes. Absolutely worth the price!

I cannot live without this! I have been using this lipstick for years. It is a beautiful pink-brown colour and, if applied correctly, it will last. And the colour does not turn orange on my skin, as so many others do. Plus, if you add another thick coat, the colour is perfect for evening and chances are it will last till the next morning.
