Rimmel 25 hour lasting foundation

This foundation is around R179 at clicks and thinking that it's full coverage because the bottle says so, I bought it. I have many spots postpartum and I was looking for a full coverage foundation. However this foundation is medium coverage once applied and it even made me look caley. Its silicon finish which I thought was nice but clearly not. I will switch to a more aqua based foundation and primer from now on.

This foundation is nice for someone with dry skin as it isn't matte...it's very moisturising and doesn't feel heavy on the skin ...it's a full coverage

I have a Sahara Dry skin with red blotches. This product only slightly covered my red patches, and created a flaky, cakey finish. It did not work witj my skin at all.

Based on the 25 hour aspect this foundation seemed like a really good purchase as it's reasonably priced for a product which can last for an entire day. It goes on smoothly and provides good coverage but I found it to be quite thick with a heavy feel on my face.

I also noticed that I started to get very deep set blackheads which were very difficult to get rid of when using this foundation. I also found that after an hour or 2 it kind of like "melts" and becomes quite oily so when you touch your face it rubs off a lot.

I would not recommend this to anybody who has really oily or problematic skin. It is a suitable product for drier skin I guess.

I have been searching for "the perfect" foundation for a while now, a friend recommended Rimmel products to me, so I started researching and reviewing different foundations. This one stood out the most as it is a hydrating foundation and I have extremely dry skin which usually causes foundation to stick to the dry areas.

The first time I used this foundation it felt heavy on my skin and immediately started sticking to my dry areas. I thought, "Wow, what a waste of money". But I still tried it for a day. To my surprise, a couple of minutes after I have applied the foundation with my beauty blender it really became "a part of" my skin. No dry patches, no creasing and the coverage was AMAZING.

About 4 hours after wearing the foundation it started to become oily on the skin, even though it was not visible, I could feel it on my skin. I thought it was because of the moisturizer I was using because I use a moisturizer for extreme dry skin, so obviously the skin was too hydrated. The next day I used a moisturizer for just dry skin and it was perfect.

I would definitely encourage people reading this review to give the product a try if you are looking for a full coverage foundation that stay on for hours without oxidation and creasing

A good quality product that delivers almost everything it promises. 25 hours is really a push unless you have perfect skin anyway and so depending on that is a fallacy. Aside from that the product delivers a wide variety of shades and at an affordable price. The coverage is good and almost natural so definitely a great buy.

Now, I must just tell you beautyones that I was a bit sceptical when I bought this baby right here as I thought that Rimmel doesn't cater for us woman of colour but boy was I wrong!!!!
I bought Rimmel Lasting Finish in Warm caramel and as you can see on my profile pic its AMAZING ! the product keeps my skin soft and the coverage is amazing depending on how much I need. It blends so well and goes with my skin tone perfectly. I have been using it for 2 months now and I am just IN LOVE!
Price wise... Totally affordable. I got my life winter saver foundation at Clicks. Cant remember how much it costs but it wasn't more than R150!

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and the coverage is amazing. And it lasts on my face the whole day. You only need a little as the consistency is a bit thick, so a little goes a long way.
And it is really affordable, which is great!

I love this product, wonderful coverage, a person uses so little so it will last and the price is wonderful compared to the other foundations. The only problem I have is the pump - it does not seem to be strong enough to pump the foundation through and I feel that the spout should be a little longer to place it nicely on your hand. Other than that, I will not change my foundation any time soon, after 6 months of searching for something that works but does not cost as much as my house - I finally found it and I love it. Thank you Rimmel.

at R99 a bottle, the most affordable, excellent quality foundation on the market

I'm not sure if it does last for the whole 25 hours, but I have worn it for 16 hours and only had to touch up with some powder 3 times at the most! The shade range isn't so great but if they have your shade you should defiantly try it. It's affordable, has a good coverage and stay on.
