Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

I am a regular bb cream user due to the effortless application and light airy feeling. I wanted to find a foundation that is similar yet gives a bit more coverage. This foundation does just that. It glides on easily, has a light feel, basically I don't even feel like I am wearing anything. It does give quite a dewy look, however after applying a powder your make up is set in place and has a nice matte finish.
It has a nice fruity smell as well and is very reasonably priced. Overall I am very happy with this product.

The coverage of this foundation isn't great if you have blemishes, you will need a concealer as well, if you have clear skin, the coverage will be fine.
I have a more oily skin so this foundation has a bit too much shine for me, I like my foundation to be mattifying. If your skin is dry then it should give a nice dewey glow.
It is pretty good at matching skin tone since I accidentally bought a shade too dark and I can still wear it as long as I blend it into my neck as well.
Its fairly long wearing, I'd say it probably lasts about 8 hours but I do have to apply powder in that time to prevent shine.
It is very affordable and a lot cheaper then a lot of other foundations.

Nothing against the product. I'm just more of a Matte fan.

This product itself is actually quite nice. I like the design of the product. Comes in a transparent bottle with a blue lid.

Since it contains a Spf of 20, it protects your face against the sun and minimizes the chance of sunburn. ( Believe me. My whole body has had sunburn and my face still looks great because I wore this )

It is a fine liquid based foundation and doesn't feel heavy on your face. Perfect for those long days.

Worth a try if you're out and exploring new foundations.

This a great light to medium coverage liquid foundation. The consistency is nice and creamy and blendable. I love the natural Dewey finish it gives me. It's long lasting and best of all not cakey.. If you are looking for a light weight foundation with medium coverage to give you a natural and Dewey look then this could be it for you.

I use this foundation almost everyday and I am really happy with it. It is medium coverage and has SPF 18. I love it for my everyday look and I like it because on photos it looks great and makes your skin look dewy and flawless. I do however recommend using translucent powder and also a little bit of concealer on problem areas. I haven't experienced it getting cakey but it does rub of easily from my nose though so I should probably use primer on that area.

Finding a good foundation can be so difficult some times especially time match.
Rimmel makes this really simple as the colours are formulated so well that they are very easy to select for your skin tone.
It's medium to almost thick formula that blends really well.

Only downside is the packaging ...the bottle has a really big opening that sometimes pours way too much product out .

Other than that I love it!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation is amazing! Best R139.99 I have ever spent! It blends in perfectly, matches my skin tone perfectly, has a radiant finish and leaves no sign that I am actually wearing foundation. It has an SPF of 18, which is not much at all, but is just an added bonus, since I already wear sunscreen. It is only available in 6 shades, but luckily for me I found the perfect shade!

I recently purchased this product and I am in love with it.
I was looking for that natural, light coverage and I found it.
It covers perfectly but you still look natural. It's soft to the touch.
It doesn't dry out my skin....that's a bonus and it feels like you don't have any foundation on.
For the ladies who want more coverage then this foundation isn't for you.

I have been really happy with this foundation! I have struggled to find drugstore foundations that don't cake and I was really pleased to find that Match Perfection does not. I have oily skin and even though it gives a slight dewy finish it does not enhance the oiliness of my skin. I was also very happy about the fact that you can build up the coverage. Very happy with this foundation.

The Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation has passed my foundation test! To begin with this foundation comes in a pump bottle which makes it an absolute pleasure to use and prevents wastage of the product. This foundation provides adequate coverage and the liquid feels light and airy and blends in effortlessly. The foundation has a pleasant scent and i found it to be long lasting too. I was thrilled that it immediately reduced the visibility of the dark rings around my eyes, giving me a fresh faced look that lasted all day!

The thing with having sisters is that they palm on unsuitable makeup products and warm caramel is a pretty good colour match for me with a light fresh looking finish on my skin! Thing is at present my skins not so perfect so i need a medium to full finish foundation and i use lasting finish 25 hour makeup in almond also made by rimmel! I'd recommend this product for those who prefer a light to medium fresh feeling foundation

This is a great foundation if you are looking for something light, that doesn't smear or look cakey. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't give me quick as much coverage I need. I doesn't completely hide my freckles, even though they are very light so I need to use a concealer underneath the foundation with a powder foundation over that. This will however stay perfect for the entire day so for the great price this is perfect for your day to day wear.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FOUNDATION I'M NEVER SCARED AROUND A CAMERA WITH IT BECAUSE IT ALWAYS LOOKS LIKE MY COMPLEXION IS PERFECT AND GIVES THAT PHOTO SHOP PERFECTNESS,IT APPLIES VERY EASILY AND DOESN'T LOOK CAKEY WHEN YOU APPLY TRANSLUCENT POWDER OVER IT,WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT IT IS THAT MY SKIN FEELS SUPPER SOFT WHEN I HAVE IT ON AND DOESN'T SMEAR IF YOU TOUCH IT,I HAVE A FEW VERY LIGHT FRECKLES SO I DO APPLY COVER STICK BEFORE AND I ALSO LOVE THAT IT BLENDS WITH ANY KIND OF LIGHTING SO I DON'T LOOK COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN ONE ROOM THAN THE OTHER

I'm quite sure I had this same product 2-3 years ago when it first came out (of course they have changed the packaging over the years). I tried a different foundation when this one ran out but I was so looking forward to coming back to Match Perfection. I find that this version of Match Perfection is not as thick as the original I had & the formula itself is slightly more watery. The feel is not heavy but I feel it does not cover and layer as well as it used to and has more of a matte finish (less luminous than the original). I have it in 100 Ivory which does match my skin. I would probably not rebuy, still on the hunt for the perfect foundation :)

I love this foundation, although the name is "perfect match" and states that the foundation 'adjusts' to your skin tone, I really wouldn't say so. The foundation contains nothing that can adjust to skin tone, but rather just looks a bit more natural than other foundations and gives skin a more luminous and flawless look which is what everyone really wants. This liquid foundation is slightly creamish but still liquid. I apply the foundation with a beauty blender so the look I achieve is always the look I want. I would recommend blending in the foundation well because it can tend to give streaks to your foundation. I wasn't too happy with the coverage, I like a product which gives me a good coverage, however the powder is amazing so there's no stress. It's a good foundation and is really not to expensive, I would recommend that if you have oily skin then purchasing the match perfection powder will help you achieve the look you want.

Formula wise this is akin to your typical liquid foundation, perhaps at a push it is slightly thicker
but I do find it to apply well be it with fingers or a brush and live up to the skin tone adaption claim.
I don't find Rimmel Match Perfection to be a full coverage foundation but it is a great mid coverage product,
that covers minor blemishes, redness and other little imperfections such as light scarring.
I can't comment on how this foundation will preform on dry skin but on normal-oily it does sit well,
wears for around 7 hours without a primer and doesn't settle into pores/lines.
I wouldn't deem this foundation matte nor would I say it is overly packed with radiance particles,
best summed up I would say it gives a natural finish, a my skin but better result.
My only niggle with Rimmel foundations is that until they settle I do find them to be a little sticky/tacky on my skin, that may be a problem that only I experience but I thought it was worth pointing out none the less.
All in all a really great high street foundation that won't break the bank but will give your really good coverage and lasting power, more so should you use a primer before hand
