SBR skin barrier Repair cream by astellas Pharma

What an amazing product this is to get rid of really dry skin with just one application ! I tried this because winter left my hands more drier than usual and cream claimed to give rapid and a lasting effect because it adds the fatty substances than skin itself takes days to produce and what is actually needed to keep skin soft and hydrated.

This cream is quite thick and all you need is a a little bit, just once a day. It's fragrance free but does have a bit of a strange smell.

With this on my hands look and feel healthier than ever. It is a bit pricey at R100 for 30ml but definitely worth it.

I received a sample of this and its really great - I had some terribly dry skin on my arms and this sorted it out in a matter of days , but my skin felt a little oily from this cream though

Its R 83.95 for a 30 g tube from dischem!its in packaging resembling that of a pharmaceutical or in this case a dermaceutical! So why did i buy it? With cold my skin on my shoulders,knees,elbows ,cheeks become so dry rough scaly that even bathing with tissue oil soap,oil shower gel, post shower body oil rub followed by nivea intensive moisturiser is not enough! It feels very thick n ointment like leaving skin um
Nfortunately with a shiny n greasy residue ie your phone or device will wear some repair creamafter!once dail application is enough! It contains glycerol,carnuba oil,sorbitan oleate,carnuba wax,ceramide 3,0leic acid and mineral oil! Does it work for what its intended for?

What a wonderful product!

It is intensely moisturising and especially beneficial if you have had an cortisone therapy.

I use it on my face when I have dry patches, or just need an extra boost in winter. I've also been using it for the past year on my toddler when he has a nappy rash, or after eczema treatment.

Neither my son or myself have had any adverse reactions to this product. I have sensitive and dry skin. And his skin is prone to rashes and eczema.

The product itself is quite a thick white cream, which spreads easily and is absorbed readily by the skin.

Overall I would definitely recommend this cream if you have any issues with dry/sensitive skin.

This cream is an absolute blessing, when nothing else wants to work! It relieves the driest of skins, even those prone to eczema!
