First off, I'd like to mention that this is the first product I was sent to review and you can imagine my excitement and the package was delivered the third day of my menstrual cycle so perfect timing right?!
I will not lie I was a bit nervous and sceptical when I saw that it was a box of tampons because honestly speaking I am not a fan of tampons due to a bad experience when I was 11, but any who I told myself that I'm a big girl now so there is nothing to worry about. If ever I use a tampon which is not as often as I would like, I opt for tampons with applicators so I was more at ease when I saw I was sent tampons with applicators.
Before I used the tampon, I fell in love with how smooth and easy to use the applicator was and the pretty colourful colours it came in (Green and Yellow), after reading the instructions I inserted the tampon and proceeded to wash my hands and continue on with my day. The way I was so comfortable, I even forgot I had a tampon that is how amazing this product is. Since that day I vouched to start using tampons more but not just any ordinary tampons but Tampax Compak tampons. Thank you Beauty Bulletin for allowing my to try the awesome product:)
Ladies what are you waiting for, go get the Tampax Compak and trust me, you won't regret it
I was so happy to be given the opportunity to try the Tampax Compak, I couldn't wait for my periods to come. This is by far the most discreet and comfortable tampons I have ever come across. The applicator is so easy to use and as for the packaging, I did not even have to hide them when we went to the beach with my husband and kids I just threw it in my beach bag and he couldn't even notice it was tampons as the colorful wrapper looks like some candy. I had no problem swimming with my Tampax on as it did not feel soggy or uncomfortable like other brands I've been using, I even forgot I was on periods. There was a time where I couldn't find a place to change my tampon and was so worried I will stain my white summer dress and to my surprise I did not experience such trouble.
Tampax Compak surely is a girl's best friend. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for???!!!
I was really impressed with the plastic applicator which made insertion really smooth and easy. Using an applicator is more hygienic. I enjoyed using this range as it was comfortable and gave me a sense of confidence. The packaging is also so awesome , because each individual is wrapped in a bright candy like wrapper. So don't mistake them for candy. I do recommend Tampax Compak to you all.
I purposely haven't commented or done a review on this product because I haven't used tampons in years. I'm a menstrual cup (Mooncup) user and have been doing so for over 12 years. I must admit when I go camping I use tampons because they are less fuss. I think I'll have to give them a go.
I first saw tampons from a classmate when I was 13 during PT (yes I'm old.lol) and was curious about the bullet and she explained what it is was and I was intrigued. A year later, I grew up and remember waking up to find a messy bed and my mom gave me pads.
The pads irritated the hell out of me cause they were big forcing me to wear a panty with tights under. It was those days when g-string was the IT thing! My cousin sister came to visit and I explained to her that I want tampons, she said tampons will break my virginity and I was scared that I won't be a virgin anymore. Needless to say I realised that it was just a myth and when I was 17 I bought myself the first pack.
Loved the convenience and being discreet about tampons without "leaks" then I saw the Tampax with an applicator. Got curious and bought it. Biggest mistake of my life, maybe I didn't know how to insert it properly and it hurt.
That was the last time I used the brand suppose it was too hard and irritating so maybe one can consider the new plastic applicator. I see they also improved their packaging which is nice.
So let’s be blunt here and have no skaam: I’ve never liked tampons with cardboard applicators. I remember digging through my mum’s bathroom cupboards as a young kiddie (because I was like, SUPER nosey, had an obsession with her toiletries and makeup, and, because, because) … and then I discovered those LONG things wrapped in paper. ‘Mom, WHAT?’ ‘Oh no, my girl, you will understand once you get older.
Older I got, and as a very active young thing (horse riding, ballet, you name it) sanitary pads were just not going to make the cut. At all. No explanation needed. So I started my womanhood with tampons sans applicator and even in my later twenties, I still never considered using tampons with an applicator. I even remembered having a little surprise backstage during our school musical in matric and frantically running around for a tampon (don’t pretend like this hasn’t happened to you, girls!). My very sweet fellow dancer offered me a tampon … with cardboard applicator. ‘No thanks, I do NOT understand to use that’, I said, as I dashed off to the garage across the streets to find something … well … smaller.
And then Tampax Compak made an arrival. And my first question? Where was this product in my teens? Why didn’t we have cool stuff like this? Now here’s finally something discreet enough, with an easy to use applicator. And what’s best? They do ACTUALLY NOT take up the entire space in an evening clutch. We all remember the shock and horror as a tampon fell out of our school blazers or our shiny little handsakkies at school formals. Not anymore, though. With the candy coloured discreet wrappers, your awkward boy-date won’t even have a clue that it was a tampon making its escape out of your bag. Embarrassment eliminated!
What’s more, is that it’s comfortable and smooth enough to be used. What really impressed me, was the Multipack initiative. Because you know those days where your flow is almost an absolute no-show and other days you feel like you can’t even stand up without worrying about having a little situation on your dress? Here you have two absorbencies in one handy go. Another like! So Tampax, well done for breaking my stigma that you only delivered ‘those horrible carton tubes’ that scared the dickens out of me when I was just starting my ladytime as a teen. This is definitely a product that I will try some more.
