Just like the skin on our faces, our neck and chest (or décolleté if you want to be fancy) are also subjected to the sun’s harmful rays and can reveal our age. The skin on our neck and chest is also prone to sagging, wrinkles and even stretch marks, so it’s a good idea to invest in a good moisturiser to keep those areas looking glowing and gorgeous. Tortoise-neck is never a good look!

The skin around the bust area is just as vulnerable to aging. Circulation is often not as it should be when we wear tight-fitting bras and under wires. Remember, ladies, to always go and get yourself measured for the correct bra size, and not to guess! If you wear a very tight bra, the skin can become withered and wrinkled prematurely as it is deprived of essential nutrients to keep  healthy. The skin starts to sag and loose elasticity.

The recommended method for applying cream to your neck and chest is as follows:
Begin just above your breast area by applying your moisturiser in very gentle upwards and outwards strokes and go all the way up to your jawline. Make sure you do your entire neck area, including the sides and the back of your neck. Tie your hair up if it is long; there is nothing worse than gloopy cream in your hair.

The recommended method for applying cream to your bust is as follows:
Using the palm of your hands, apply the cream in a figure of 8 using quite firm pressure and then finish off by rubbing the cream in an upward stroke between your breasts, and use any excess cream on the breast area itself.

You can really use any great hydrating and firming moisturiser to give your neck and bust area a bit of TLC. There are also formulations which have specially been designed for this purpose, though they do tend to be a little heavier on the pocket. One thing you must never do, rain or shine, is to forget to apply a good sunscreen to your neck and chest area if you are going outdoors.
