Based on it being called illuminating primer i thought it would be a 1 step wonder in terms of mattifying and adding radiance.mattify it does.radiance it does not.it leaves skin flawless and clean looking.ive used this barefaced although i imagine with makeup ontop it will give an inctedible hold and finish

Primer, primer is on everyones tongue!!! I always wanted to try a foundation primer, so I went to Foschini and the beauty specialist recommended that I use Yardley Illuminating primer as for the price it's the best to use. I'm not happy at all with this product, I have been using it for 5 days now and my skin is dry and flakey. Don't know if it is to harsh on my skin or what could be the problem. Overall it goes on smooth and if it works for other beautiful ladies I'm glad but it doesn't work for me. For me it's money wasted, sorry :( :(

This is a great primer ,foundation looks so much better and it's great at masking imperfections although I don't get why it's called an illuminating primer as it offers no illumination at all. Disappointing on that front because this was the primary reason for my purchase but I still love it as a primer.

Okay, I have to admit that I have not yet purchased this product and I don't think I will - let me explain why: I am very into primers at the mo, so when I saw this at my local Pick 'n Pay Hyper, I had to swatch it. Although it felt very smooth and velvety , there was no illumination at all? I mean I just didn't get it...

There are a few points I would like to address with this product:
1. Extending foundation wear - I am more used to wearing lasting foundations, but since I have been using this primer I was able to use more light foundations with a shorter wear time. This primer made my lighter foundations last three hours longer which is great.
2. Finish - It creates a very flawless and airbrushed look with a radiant and healthy glow as an added bonus.
3. Sweating - This product allows your skin to breath. I have not experienced any sweaty feeling on my skin since I have started to wear this product. It feels light and leightweight on the skin.
4. Affordability - You pay less than R100 for 30mls. It is great value as you only need to use a little but of product at a time.
5. Repurchase? Yes I will purchase this product again. I love it and is not going to stop using it for a very long time.
