Zambuk was not my first choice in lip care however this particular one has a lovely fragrance will keeping your lips soft.
The Zambuk does not have any colour once applied, great for fuss free moisturistaion!

I was very scared to try this because I had never heard of it before.
My partner actually ended up buying it and I have been hooked ever since .
The texture is smooth and quite thick so it lathers on the lips nicely keeping them hydrated and the cherry scent is amazing

It's what you would call "Cheap as chips" but it doesn't work for me at all.
The product just feels waxy on my lips and doesn't penetrate my skin to offer any hydration.
It's a cute looking product and the scent is lovely, but that's where it ends for me.

I simply luvvv this lip balm. It comes in a cute container, that can easily be stored in a handbag, your jeans or even your makeup bag.. heyyy!!! only thing I find a little discouraging about this lipbalm, is at times struggling to open that container, but I always have a friend around to ask for some help though ;-)
The lip balm is easily applied to my lips, no mess and no fuss and it smells heavenly. I absolutely luvvv the cherry smell of it! Price: its super affordable and generally retails at under R10 so every girl should own one!

Gosh, did I really think that a petrolatum based lip balm would keep my annoying chapped lips at bay? Well yep, that was before I used the product, yes it does smoothen those roughened up lips on application but a few minutes afterwards my lips starts feeling dry and the chapping begins like dry leaves in autumn. So you have to reapply the product very single minute to get the desired effect if you know what I mean. DUH?

I like this smell a lot more that the normal Zambuk smell but after an entire day of putting it on, you kind of don't want to smell it any more , I also didn't like that it made my lips a little red, red lips don't suit me at all

consistancy/smell: Red waxy consistancy with a very strong cherry scent

I brought this yesterday for the 1st time ever and I must say I'm not a fan of Zam-Buk. It smells similar to the Medi-Keel throat lozenges, very strong cherry scent. It's very thick, but also very waxy when applied to the lips, I could feel that I had something on my lips, but when I looked in the mirror my lips still looked dryish,it has no shine or shimmer and it didn't give my lips the reddish tint I was hoping to get. I have to apply it really thick in order for my lips to look like it has something on.
My lips do feel a little moisturized, but where is that waxy feel as well.
Would I buy it again: Definatley a Big NO...... I'll probably end up using it as an emergency lip balm,, when I've forgotton or misplaced my labello

I like the fact that this is better than the original Zambuk in looks and scent but HATE the waxy feel. It literally feels like I am applying wax polish to my lips and I struggle to make it melt on to my lips and absorb. Sometimes it even flakes off, during really cold winter days and sit in clumps on my lips. This is a no from me.

Love the scent, Love the Price. Isn't really effective though as it doesn't melt on lips nicely. Good for night use. The packaging is cute though difficult to open.

ive purchased this a while back and i was dissapointed in it!.. the casing is quite cute - it was quite eye catching but it felt very sticky on my lips and wasnt very moisturizing..

The cherry smell is divine:) To be honest, I use this balm as a back-up to my favourite lip butter or balm placing the little tins in my drawer at work, in my car, etc. One con about this balm is that it does not absorb well into the lips. It works great as a sealant especially in the winter time. I usually use it at night after applying my lip butter and then use the balm to lock the moisture in.

I love this too! It's mt 2nd fave because it lasts extremely long an is very well worthy of its price:-)
Only thing I don't like is that because it's so small, I tend to lose it in 1 of my many bags. Love the convenient size tho :-)

I have a little girl she is 32 months old during the winter months she struggles with severe dry face skin. I used almost everything on the market nothing helped. then I tried the cherry zambuk on her face and amazingly worked!! Her skin looks beautiful now no more red dry and flaky skin. I keep carry a tin with me where ever I go now. Its also great for dry chapped lips and its not so smelly than the regular zambuk

Let me start off by saying, I hate glosses and the like because they are sticky, messy and I can't stand the feel on my lips. I keep wanting to wipe my mouth and end up swallowing it most of the time!
Got this little container from my mom as my lips were so dry, they were starting to tear. If you've experienced this before - you'll know it HURTS!
I was a bit dubious at first, but found it worked wonderfully! It is a bit thick at first, but even I can actually stand it :)
NOTE: This is not a gloss, it is a balm!! It creates a bit of a barrier to help lips retain their moisture and it has a bit of staying-power (unlike the glosses) and my lip healed nicely. I would certainly recommend it for those who have dry or chapped lips. Bonus - the cherry fragrance.

Was surprised to come across this cherry lip balm.
It's definitely affordable, smells divine! Cherries just smell so good...
My only issue is, it doesn't absorb well but it does manage to protect the lips from chapping. I wouldn't mind repurchasing it especially since its so cheap.

I love this lip balm. I love the cherry scent and the packaging. Quite moisturizing and it doesn't matter that I constantly manage to lose my lip balms as this is only R5 and it lasts for ages. I haven't tried the original.

For those on a budget, this is a great product to heal chapped winter lips! I love the look of the little red and pink tin with Zam-buk's iconic South African branding, but I don't find it to be as effective as some of the other leading lip balm brands.

I’m a big fan of the original Zum-Buk and was delighted to see the Cherry Lip Balm and such cool packaging as well. I tried it for a while and found that it had a drying effect on my lips though. I love the smell, however it’s not something I would purchase again.

Just like the herbal balm, this is absolutely amazing. Helps chapped lips heal almost overnight and definitely aids in prevention of cracking too. Cheap and a product of South Africa. Has a delicious, fruity flavour and gives lips a great shine.

While many seem to think Zambuk is a lip balm or lip gloss it is more of an ointment for those lil ailments. It serves to be very effective for those minor cuts or chipped lips. It's good that it comes in colour but best of all is that it still does its job to treat and cure. I choose not to use it as a lipgloss but for those who have problems of dry lips then go for it. Zambuk is famous for its minty and tingling sensation. This is a product that comes handy in my first aid kit:-)

Don't like this at all! Was very excited when I first saw it. Nice cute pink container and lovely smell, but it is so waxy and thick and feels awefull on my lips. It doesn't moisturise and only sits on top of my lips. So if I drink coffee for example, everything just transfers to the cup.

R5, this product is SO worth it. I got it from a friend as part of a little Valentine's Day present and I've been using it everyday ever since. It's great for work, it tint's slightly and it makes me look more 'polished. it is also really hydrating which I love.

I love this product! I normally don't use any oily or glossy lip balm on my lips at night because they get really messy and wipe off on everything. I tried this product because a friend recommended it to me. For R5 I felt it was really worth it. When I opened the super cute vintage tin, I got a fruity cherry scent which immediately made me think of fresh cherries. When I applied the lip balm to my lips, it went on smooth and felt so light on my lips, like nothing was even there. I noticed that if you apply extra of the balm then lips get a bit white, so you really have to use it sparingly. When I woke up in the morning I noticed my lips were softer and smoother, and a lot more hydrated because I suffer a lot from dry lips. It's an amazing product and I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants soft smoother lips.

Love the smell but I only use this before bed because it leaves my lips looking white ( not sure why). It does leave my lips soft though which is why I don't completely dislike it.

The Zam-Buk Cherry lip balm is a relatively great lip balm. It lasts quite long, which means that you don’t have to re-apply regularly. It also makes your lips really soft, and the cherry flavor tastes and smells divine. It doesn't color your lips unlike other cherry lip balms, which means you can apply it without a mirror and you can wear it with your favorite nude lipsticks.
The only complaint I have is that it is often a mission to get the lip palm container open. It seals tightly and it is so tiny that you can’t get a good grip. On several occasions I simply gave up, because I couldn't get it open. There is nothing more frustrating than desperately needing some lip balm and struggling for ages trying to get the container open. For little extra bucks I would rather buy another lip balm that I can easily open.

for just R5 at Legit 9GUESS I WAS GOING THROUGH ONE OF MY LETS TRY THIS PHASE)i was like "O my Word thats like the cheapest thing ever and it smells divine i must try this" Once applied it leaves your lips feeling soft; it moisturizes your lips preventing dried chapped lips for ever; Luckily unlike Vaseline it does not look oily once applied it absorbs almost immediately. I find this perfect to apply just before applying your favorite lip color...it is also very Yummy;)

I LOVE anything Cherry flavour and have always used the original Zambuk for nearly everything - it even works really well as an earring cleaner - my ears get irritated and a little itchy when I wear cheaper jewellery for long periods of time and if I apply a little Zambuk to the earring before putting it in, it helps so much!

Bought this on impulse while buying a chocolate - for R5 it's pretty cheap! And a nice package too.
It smells great and yummy BUT I find that it doesn't do a great job at moisturising at all. I feel like it dries out my lips actually. Then again, I do tend to have quite dry lips so maybe this just isn't aimed at someone like me who needs something more heavy duty.

Love the smell, but the waxy layer left behind as apposed to the original which seems to seep into the skin a little better doesn't feel good. To fix extremely chapped lips...yes. If you prefer a pout with some gloss...No. I'm not the greatest fan :(

I've always loved the original green Zam-buk, so when I spotted the cherry variant I was over the moon. I'm obsessed with cherry everything. This has a yummy cherry lemonade scent and applies with the same texture and consistency as the original.
I don't find it as moisturising as the original one but it still does a great job at healing chapped/red/dry lips. Also the red appearance and delicious sweet smell are a million times better then the original.
