I bought the foam wash and the oil control moisturizer 3 days ago, and the old pimples on my face started turning red, and I also got a few new red bumps I'm not sure if thats how it's suppose to work, hopefully it gets better after this, and the foam is not as soapy as I expected it to be. I will try using both for 3 months and see if there's any improvement

Hi everyone!

I reviewed the Cetaphil Derma Control Foam Face Wash and SPF30 Oil Control Moisturizer. The products came in a Cetaphil travel bag, which I plan on using in future for any overnight trips, as it is perfect for packing up all my toiletries. I have suffered with outbreaks of acne for years and have tried a variety of other products in the past, to no avail. I was excited to use the Cetaphil products, as this was my first time using it and I had high hopes of yielding positive results .

Pros
The oil control moisturiser had the perfect balance: it moisturised my skin without over drying it, while at the same time it was non-greasy and shine-free. After moisturising, my skin felt softer and smoother and I enjoyed the matte finish. It has built-in sun protection (SPF 30), which I loved, since I did not have to use any extra sun screen with the product
The foam wash left my skin feeling refreshed and radiant. It was mild and gentle on my skin and did not leave my skin feeling sensitive. It easily removed any impurities and make-up from my skin. I especially liked that it consisted of foam, which in my opinion, is easier to use when compared to liquid/ gel cleansers.
Both products came in easy to use packaging and had pump handles which released just enough of the moisturiser/ foam wash, without any spillage or wastage.
The products were economical, as they came in full sized bottles (foam wash - 236ml and moisturiser - 118ml) and there was still some remaining, even after a month’s use

Cons:
I did not notice a vast improvement in my acne, and was quite disappointed with the results. However, I only used it for a month, so there may have been better results if I had used for a longer period of time. I was also not particularly fond of the fragrance of the moisturiser and it made my eyes tear when I applied it around my eyes.

Overall
I was pleased with and enjoyed using the Oil Control Foam Wash and would consider using it again, as well as recommending it to others. I would not consider using the oil control moisturiser again, as I did not enjoy the fragrance and did not notice any vast improvements with my skin.

Thank you Beauty Bulletin for giving me the opportunity to review the Cetaphil products!?
