Liquid magic, two words that best explain this amazing foundation. I really enjoyed using the foundation and my face totally agrees. The foundation gave me full coverage and left my face looking flawless and matte.
I loved how I didn’t need to use concealer because there was enough coverage.
The only disadvantage was that when it came to this foundation I found a little didn’t go a long way. I found I had to use a bit more product to get the desired shade for me. But besides that I loved using this foundation ?

Avon has impressed me over – first with the Avon Anew Reversalist Infinite Effects Night Treatment Cream and now, especially with the Avon True Colour Foundation.
Uses:
Maximum coverage foundation for an even skin tone
All day wear
True colour match
Key Ingredients:
Opti light technology is the key for reflecting light, enabling a perfect skin tone at all times
Colour IQ technology helps formulate a shade that perfectly matches your skin tone.
Effectiveness:
Honestly, I use various foundations, dependent on what type of day I’m going to have, however I’m always nervous for all day / night kind of days, since that means checking on my makeup after a certain amount of time, as my skin becomes oily and the foundation settles into my skin making my pores and lines more visible that once unsettled, I need to touch up the foundation on the hour every hour.
However, thanks to Beauty Bulletin for introducing me to Avon True Colour Flawless Foundation for the #AvonMadeForMe campaign, as this has become my answer to full daywear foundation.
In addition to this, Avon True Color does not oxidize (hence the term true color) so it’s a perfect foundation match.
Price:
Currently retailing for R154 – 90 which is an exceptional price for a foundation that delivers more than some of the expensive foundation brands I use.
Available at:
Avon representatives
Ease of use:
My makeup application has become simpler, as this foundation provides maximum coverage therefore I skip concealer – which saves time additionally, it has a matt effect and you can skip powder application if you want a dewy look.
How To Use:
Apply primer
One pump of foundation is enough for full-face coverage and for darker blemishes I apply a bit more product over these imperfections.
Warnings:
This foundation does in fact, not oxidize, however, once you use other make products (which tend to oxidize) you will find that as a result, your foundation color will change throughout the day depending on what powder, blush and highlighters you use – the additional use of these other makeup products will all affect your foundation color.
Read below on how to find your foundation shade:
The inside of your wrist is usually a bit lighter than the rest of your face or body; I always match my foundation shades to my inner wrist.
So when the foundation does oxidize, the color is still a perfect match on my skin.
Always go a shade lighter rather than darker to avoid looking orange.
Avoid foundations that have ashy tones (usually pink undertone foundations)
My Avon foundation makeup shade is “nude”.
Pros:
Does not oxidize
Provides maximum coverage
Skin stays oil free throughout the day
Affordable
Cons:
Avon makeup is tested on animals
Would I use it again?
Yes! I’ve now switched to Avon True Color as my everyday go to foundation – perfect for everyday use.
Summary:
Cluttered is one way to describe the makeup industry however, Avon knows that in order to stand out you need to deliver quality first and they do with every single product I’ve tried recently.
I’m looking forward to trying other products from Avon on account of their commitment to quality and of course it’s an invited bonus that Avon is so affordable.
Probably the BEST foundation I’ve used in a while.

So I received the new Avon True Foundation in the shades Medium beige and Caramel and they work like a dream! I’ve never been one who find my shade in foundation easily so I was a little skeptical about trying this stuff on my face but I’ve never received a better match!
This foundation has very full coverage, can be easily blended and is extremely long lasting. I’d be crazy to pick any of my previous foundations over it.
I wasn't sure what to expect from an Avon Foundation, as I have used other Avon products but never their foundation.
I was/ am surprisingly taken by this foundation. Everything I was promised, was most certainly delivered. Avon True Foundation is a full coverage liquid foundation, easily applied with a brush as well as a beauty blender giving a beautiful natural finish. This foundation covered all my problem areas being tiny veins on my cheeks and large pores on my cheek bones, giving me a flush even skin tone. Upon testing the Avon True foundation, what stood out most was the long lasting coverage I had, not expecting much because of its low pricing. It looks flawless in photos and with oily skin found that with a bit of setting powder I had no problem with uncomfortable shine.
Avon True Foundation is perfect for everyday use and the shade 'Soft Honey' has definitely been added to my beauty family.
I received an early birthday present in the form of being part of the Avon and Beauty Bulletin campaign! The gorgeously packaged pale pink box containing three shades of the new Avon True Color foundation, the new Avon bronzing pearls and a nifty little branded headband as well as the new product brochure, were delivered to me to take part in a mystery reveal project on social media! It was an enormous amount of fun and the hype we created was incredible! Well, now about the products, Avon is known for quality make-up products, and the True Color foundation did not disappoint. I have hyper-sensitive acne prone combination skin with surface and atrophic scarring, and with a two - three pumps of foundation and a good buffing brush, my skin was covered!
To break it down:
Finish - Natural looking
Longevity - Lasts all day
Texture - Light and didn't cake easily
Scent - lovely & doesn't last after application
Color match - I mixed 'Nude' and 'Medium beige' to get my perfect shade
Sensitivity - my skin had a few breakouts initially until it got 'used' to the product, but it's all clear now and I've been enjoying wearing it almost every day for a few weeks now.
Use: Perfect for daily use and for photos
A lot of foundations claim to be long lasting, full coverage, non greasy etc. When I tried this foundation I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly one of the three shades sent to me actually matched my skin tone! Secondly it had a fair amount of coverage. Thirdly it did not leave my skin feeling oily or overly dry. I was also very impressed at the price. Overall I think this is a great foundation as it ticks all the boxes, good value for money!
I absolutely loved using it & the Nude shade is my favorite because it’s a perfect swatch for me! The texture is great & the application. A definite favorite.
I really enjoyed doing this review. I love makeup and sadly because of my even skin tone it’s hard for me to find foundation that gives me full coverage. I therefore rely on concealers and color correctors a lot, however I was extremely impressed with this Avon foundation. I didn’t need much concealer and it gave me an even matte coverage. However I found that I needed to use more than I would usually use so it did feel a bit heavy on my skin even though it didn’t look as heavy. I was extremely happy with the product and will definitely recommend this to my friends and family
I enjoyed trying out his foundation but I do believe there’s remove fro improvement. It’s not recommendable for people with dry skin as it can leave a patchy finish and I personally prefer a Dewey Finish. I also ddnt find the perfect match for my skin tone so I ended up having to mix two foundations so perhaps there range of colours should be expanded. A good foundation.
Personally this foundation has EVERY SHADE AVAILABLE ! which is the best as I myself am a mix between a very light and a medium mixture which is hard to find , and after purchasing this today after the big reveal on BEAUTY BULLETIN INSTA LIVE PARTY , I had gone home and it lived up to the hype that the influencers had put out there ??
This foundation is perfect for those with normal to oily skin. The foundation does not crease at all and it has a good coverage (medium to full coverage). I would recommend this foundation for those who want their foundation to last all day. I personally think it's great for weddings/big events where you need your foundation/makeup to stay put.
I must admit that I had some reservations about a foundation from this mystery brand. It is not a brand I am too familiar with, and I associate it with an older target market. But I was pleasantly surprised and have definitely changed my views on it.
Pros:
-Very good coverage, as promised, without looking cakey or thick
-Dries down to a sort of velvet finish that looks very natural and skin-like
-The packaging is exactly what I want in a foundation packaging, with a sturdy glass bottle and pump lid
-Lasts exceptionally well, even without a primer
Cons:
-The shade range is very orange, of the three colours I tried, I could not find a colour light enough for my pale skin, and even he undertones of the other colours off
-Sliiiiiight transfer
-Can pick up fine hairs and dry spots if not blended well
Overall I was happy with this foundation. It applied easily (with a sponge) and left a natural finish. For the price, it's really great quality, and the packaging is the cherry on top.
#FaceUndercover is surprising value from an underdog in the foundation game

I'm going to try to write this review without revealing what foundation I'm talking about, by the end of it, you'll be DYING to know which one it is! I swatched 3 shades on my face to shade-match (the first swatch was ultra-light; for someone with a MUCH lighter skintone than me) and by the time I was applying the third swatch, the first looked like it started matching me! I first credited this to oxidization of the formula and thought this was a little banal, but then I read up on the shade-matching pigments in the foundation and realised that it had adjusted for me!
Formula: The foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation, leaning more on the full side. What's incredibly shocking is how lightweight the formula feels, despite offering full coverage. It's a very comfortable wear (I've been using it every day for about a week now). It has more of a luminous, radiant finish than the uber-matte that I'm used to but it's nothing that some setting powder doesn't counter. Most formulas have an SPF 15; I find it a little odd that 5 of the shades for deeper skin-tones don't have any SPF. The product itself is a liquid foundation that isn't too runny.
My favorite factor about this foundation (other than the SPF hehehe) is the natural finish it leaves me with. The dried-down version is extremely skin-like and natural looking (something that I usually reach for a foundation that costs R270 for). It has enough pigmentation to cover my acne scars. The shade range comprises of 19 shades which is pretty so-so, but it also contains skin-matching pigments which means it adjusts to suit more than 19 shades. It has an oil-free, dermatologically-tested formula which are both brownie points in my books.
Performance: The most I've worn this for is 14 hours and this foundation was here for it! It did fade slightly around my honker of a nose area, but that happens to me all the time. I do set this foundation with a setting powder which I hope doesn't skew the results, but this formula has a consistent longevity that I'm a fan of. The SPF does, of course, cause a slight flashback in flash photography but that was to be expected. In normal photography, my skin looks even, smooth and airbrushed.
Packaging: The outer black cardboard box screams "luxury"! Upon arrival, it already looked like a "fancy" product. The foundation is housed in a glass bottle (also a plus! I did have my reservations about the glass being travel-friendly but I haven't had any issues thus far). The design of the bottle is simple, straight-forward and to-the-point. It's a rectangular component. The foundation is distributed via a removable pump, which I'm slightly ambivalent about because:
- The pump keeps the product airtight, sanitary and just basically means it's generally less messy than other components.
- I find it difficult to control the pump for, say, half a squirt. This is also a problem I face with one of my concealers; but I've since perfected a controlled technique to distribute the product out of the bottle. I struggle using that technique here for if I just want a smidge more foundation - it's a full pump or nothing, baby! I find this a bit of a waste of product.
The lid does pop on quite tightly, which is important when you're traveling with a pump. Any impact on a pump whose lid comes lose could cause a squirt of precious product to be squandered on the insides of your makeup bag (as opposed to your eye bags).
Price: All of the above for under R200? It's a steal!
Final Verdict: I was incredibly surprised by how well this foundation performed. I had underestimated the brand for foundations specifically; this is definitely one that I'll be repurchasing. I hope you're all as excited to discover what foundation as I am to reveal it!

Three key aspects that determine whether I will purchase a liquid foundation are
Coverage , texture/consistency & longevity
To my surprise, this foundation brings it all to the table for under R200 (my usual costs about R350) I was also really impressed with the presentation of the package I received from Beauty Bulletin.
BBundercover foundation claims to be full coverage but lightweight and supposed to last all day with SPF 15, I found that it lasted longer when I set it with a powder (as opposed to a setting mist) and preferred the overall look when I used a pore minimizing primer.
I love that this foundation looks healthy and hydrated on my skin and is so lightweight which is perfect for an everyday foundation. The longest I wore it was for about 11 hours (9am - 8pm) and it wore off really quickly which was a tad disappointing but it didn't crack, except in my smile lines which usually happens all the time. My favourite thing about it is that it comes WITH A PUMP which equals mess-free, waste-free application - yaasss kween!!!
My skin tone is very neutral so it is usually easy for me to find my shade but this range is available in 18 different shades (from porcelain to rich espresso) so for the price, I will definitely recommend it to somebody who is new to foundation as it is very easy to work with.
However, sadly one cannot go into the store and swatch or sample it and is not an entirely cruelty-free brand but overall I am pretty impressed with how well the shades I was sent matched skin tone and if you aren't entirely sure about your shade pop in at any makeup counter for a consultation (these are usually free)
I look forward to sharing the brand with everyone soon, especially my clients and colleagues whose received no answer when they asked what foundation I was wearing. Safe to say they're as excited about the reveal as I am, I predict many laughs!
