I have tried all of Caribbean Tan's self-tanners, and my favourite is the Tanning Spritzer. I have bought Tan in a Can Instant Colour on occasions when I couldn't find the Spritzer, and although the end result of the two products is very similar, I find Tan in a Can to be a bit messy. I'm not a huge fan of the aerosol spray bottle (although I know some people might prefer this- it's just personal preference) because I find that overspray is inevitable. Best would probably be to stand in the shower while doing this, because I have stained many duvet covers/curtains/towels when using this, lol! It's just difficult to control where the spray goes, and I find it's more difficult to get the same amount of product on all parts of your body with this, than it is with the Spritzer. I do like that the Instant Tan has a good guide colour, which helps you see where you've applied product.
Overall, it's not a bad product, the tan lasts about 7 days if you don't exfoliate in the days following application, it fades evenly, and this is definitely my second choice when I can't find the Spritzer in stock.
You simply cannot go wrong with this tan plus it is priced so well and available from Clicks. We used to use this tan in salon with our spray tans and the clients loved it, never a complaint! Very easy to use but I suggest you ask a friend to help you with the back areas. Best to do it in the shower or even better outside where there is better lighting. Beautiful bronzed color instantly. To prolong your tan wear loose clothing until your tan dries and pat your skin dry after showering instead of rubbing.
I use the dark, even though im medium skin tone, but i really think its one of my top tanning products in South Africa.. they could work on the smell though
I was sent 3 caribbean tan products by BB and tested them for 2 weeks each. I tested this one last (find my other product reviews here: http://www.beautybulletin.com/face-and-body/self-tanning/caribbean-tan-bronzing-mousse and http://www.beautybulletin.com/face-and-body/self-tanning/caribbean-tan-tanning-spritzer)
It applies extremely easily, especially when you use the mitt. I was happy with the results just frustrated that it took so long to dry. It washed off very quickly, just like the other products. So you will need to reapply it at least twice a week. Overall, good for an in between tan or touch up when you need it!
Now when it comes to tanning I don’t claim to be an expert, but I have dabbled with it a bit in the past. Instead of the usual mousse/cream or spritzer tanner that I use, I decided to go with the Tan in a Can option. Now sometimes tanning can take a while and I had quite a busy week so I needed an option that’s really quick and instant. This product from Caribbean Tan is ideal and I’m really very impressed at how easy it is to apply and at how mess free it is. After using this I was left with a gorgeous and natural looking tan.
I really love the results of my tan and absolutely love how natural it looks. If you’re looking for a great self-tanner that’s quick and easy to use this is really the perfect option!
so I'm part of team pale and I needed an instant tan, literally. So I read the reviews and went and purchased Caribbean Tan - instant tan and at first I was like WOW! I am tanned and it's not orange but after showering 14 hours later, it was pretty much gone. The description of the product states that it will fade after bathing but you'll still be left with a tan. That didn't happen.
I believe this tan is around R75 at the Centurion Mall.
If you don't have a boyfriend, get one so he can help you apply this :)
The tan is instant but does require some time to dry before you put on any clothes so
you'll be standing in the buff for about 10-15 minutes maximum. If you're freaked out by how
dark it is at first, don't worry - all the excess will wash off in the shower (make sure to wait the 8 hours).
It is also quick to apply however it can be very sticky so I would suggest doing it right before bed then
washing it off in the morning. I have gotten 1 can where the spray nozzle was busted and the spray was
not even, it was still usable just be careful :) My tan tends to last about 5 days, there is no smell and as
I'm a bit on the small side I can get almost 2 uses out of 1 can (always make sure to have a second handy!)
I was given this product by my mother after complaining that I need a decent tan. She not only gave my the spray can but also the exfoliator srcub.
I used the scrub first in the shower, dried myself off and then asked my boyfriend to spray me - luckily my mother had prewarned me not to try spray myself.
I ended up with a great looking natural tan and the spray dried quickly so I was able to put clothes over it and continue with my morning.
