Definitely gets the job done. Mostly pleased because it comeS in a pocket size which makes it easier to carry in your bag with you everywhere and anywhere you go. Would not recommend for persons with sensitive skin though. Also make sure to pick one that aligns with your skin type. Available for purchase in-store at your local pharmacy/drug stores. Also be sure to wash your face after usage, with cold or warm water WITH NO SOAP!! OVERALL A GREAT PRODUCT.
Compared to other Micellar and make up removing products, the Garnier Micellar water has out down then all. Highly recommended as it's most effective and gets the job done with ease
I love garniers skin care range, their mineral cleansers are very effective at removing makeup and gentle for sensitive skin. Also great for removing impurities from the skin. It is affordable not the cheapest but the most high quality for cheapest price.
I would recommend this product to anyone who is lazy (like me) and need one product to remove all makeup after a long day (or hectic night out). It can be used all l over the face, including your eyes AND IT DOES NOT BURN!
This product works effectively to remove any makeup or muck on one’s skin. However I wouldn’t recommend this product for sensitive skin as it dried my skin and caused some irritation.
This micellar water is great because it has no fragrance and removed makeup effectively. Even if you have individual lashes it is quite easy to clean them without compromising the longevity of your lash life. However, the product leaves my skin feeling a bit dry due to the non-hydrating factor. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it as a makeup remover as part of an extensive hydrating skincare routine though.
I take the travel size bottle wherever I go because it comes in so handy. Gentle on the skin, removes dirt and make up and doesnt leave my skin feeling dry or irritated.
I'm on my second bottle and let me tell you: as the laziest creature alive who HATES taking off makeup, this is one of the fastest ways to do it. Would highly recommend for day-to-day makeup removal. For travel, I would suggest wipes, they're a lot easier to carry and you won't have to factor in the volume.
This is a great dupe for the Bioderma micellar water.
By far my favorite make up remover and works well as a toner too/ Have a second, check out my blog post on it

This is great for removing stubborn waterproof makeup and that last little bit that didn't come off from just washing. It really does work like a magnet!
Discovering this cleansing water changed my life. The micelles in the water act like magnets and picks up the dirt instead of just spreading it around on the face. I love that they have catered to all skin types and that it even removes the most stubborn mascara. I have repurchased so many times and I don't plan to stop now. They also come in handy travel size bottles so its a win all around. The bigger bottles will last you a very long time so you don't have to repurchase every month.
It is very effective yet so gentle - been using it for about 2 months now and I can honestly say that I can't go away without it .. (I even have an 'on the go' size in my gym bag!)
I love this! Removes makeup nicely, although I do still sometimes struggle with waterproof mascara. Not too keen on using ONLY this to cleanse my face though, I use it to remove makeup and dirt/grime before using a gentle cleanser. Does what is says and the bottle lasts ages!
I have been enjoying using this product for sometime now. It is definitely well known in the beauty community. I love this product because it is so refreshing to use and doesn't leave oil on your face that you then have to go rinse off because it is oil free - this is a bonus if you have eyelash extensions. Does it work? It definitely does and works best with a cotton pad. You do have difficulty if you have a heavy eyeshadow look on though. They do have a special Micellar Water product for this ( would I have not tried yet). Other than that it is great, refreshing and easy to use. I do find myself thinking twice before buying because of the price. My thought - I don't mind using coconut oil to remove my makeup so why not save myself the R 80 and buy other makeup with the money?
This is the only problem I have with this product - I love that is also comes in travel size!
I love that my skin feels clean and refreshed after removing my make up, unlike other make up removers, theres no sticky residue left behind. Effectively removes all traces of make up, especially eye make up and no burning sensation around eye area either!
Available in two sizes, smaller one great for travelling and no leakage!
Have purchased this product a few times already! Definitely a thumbs up from me!
Available at Clicks, Dischem, Pick n Pay and pharmacies.
This product is great. It really cleans my face and leaves it feeling refreshed. It's great on sensitive skin ,so I can use it without my skin hating me later. A little goes a long way, because I only use a few drops each time.
It's amazing and I love it . Definitely worth it and a great buy
I stumbled upon this and was very eager to try it because the Garnier makeup wipes I use - although very effective, weren't getting every bit of dirt/makeup off.
After the first use, the amount of makeup/dirt I got off after using the wipes was incredible! I also started to use it after my wash as a toner on days when I don't wear makeup and it cleared off the excess dirt so well.
This is now part of my daily face wash routine and has really made my skin feel more clean and fresh as I have large pores that get clogged easily.
I haven't tried the blue one or the oil infused one, but I have read great reviews for both and will definitely try them when this one finishes.
I bought the smaller size that you can get for R30-40 at clicks or any supermarket, and I recommend that you get the smaller bottle first while you're still trying it out.
This product is great, especially if you are on the go and a make-up artist like myself. It is very convenient as you do not need to rinse it off. It leaves your clean and refreshed without the dryness/ tightness one would expect from a "waterless" cleanser.
This product is everything!!! But why am i so late...i recently fell inlove with this all-in-one cleansing water.!!Came across a lot of good comments from beauty bloggers about this product and i decided id give it a try myself and i was blown away! Its excellent for a make-up remover, leaves my skin so clean and so refreshed...i dont even use water!!
The new micellar cleansing water has been designed for normal to sensitive skin.
The directions are that you should simply apply Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to a cotton pad and wipe across your skin for gentle and efficient cleansing > no scrubbing / rubbing mind you, are enough to make me jump and break into song!
I was very much eager when it hit South Africa as the rants really got to me. At that time, I had to go from one Clicks shop to another as it was still not wide spread. When I finally found it, I was so excited that I bought it as a gift for a friend who loves makeup but has extremely sensitive skin.
I then also bought myself a lot of cotton as I thought with all the makeup on my face, I am going to really need cotton upon cotton. To my very surprise, I removed a full face of makeup using only 2 facial pads > that included all the mascara my eyes had to bear. That goes for eye makeup, blush and lipstick too!
I have been impressed since! Yes all the foundation and BB creams off with no problem.
Now what about my usually dry skin? I was left with no dryness and no reaction at all. The moisture left on my skin felt as if I immediately moisturized after use. The only issue that came with that, is that I felt slightly sticky. I thought since it was the first use, my skin would react differently in times to come. Well I still get that sticky feeling to date (I been using it close to 2 months now), but the feeling thereof goes away within minutes.
A little amount goes a long way, almost so long using it, I am not anywhere close to getting half way with the bottle. Less water is used that before to cleanse my face (my part for saving much needed water). My cotton is still so plenty too...
I had to learn over time though, NOT to rub or scrub when using it. It is gentle and it does most work for you without much laboring. I have converted my dear hubby, he now has his own bottle (no he does not use makeup) and loves using it to cleanse his face thoroughly especially when he imitates my pamper sessions.
Use it for a refreshed feeling whether in the morning or night, or even once a day. Harsh makeup removers and lingering skin impurities, are a thing of yesterday from now on.

Basically, Micellar water contains tiny micelles which attract the dirt or makeup on your face and dissolves it into its micro fatty-bubble. Garnier describes the micellar water as, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse." You can clean your face with just a swipe of your cotton swab!
The different bottles are made to suit your skin type. If you have dehydrated dry skin then the pink bottle is for you. If you have oily or combination skin then the blue bottle is designed for you. If you have sensitive skin then the pink bottle will be your magic tool because it contains no parabens; alcohol and fragrances.
Personally, I enjoy using it on a cotton swab. I use it after I use my eye-makeup remover. I then follow with my daily facial cleanser, If I feel like there still might be makeup on my face then I use the Micellar water again before using my toner, The Micellar water is safe enough to use all over your face, neck, lip and eye area.
What I love about this product is the packaging, It is a transparent bottle with a cute design on the label. It comes in a 400ml bottle which is quite big considering it is a drugstore product. Each bottle is supposed to allow for 200 uses. I use quite a generous about each time so I'm not sure if I will reach 200. I feel like my makeup removes to effortlessly with the micellar water compared to other makeup removers I have tried in the past, especially bold lip colors and waterproof products.
Final Verdict:
I LOVE this product! There's no hassle when using it and the fact that you get so much for your money is an added bonus. I know that this product will last me a long time. The fact that it contains no alcohol'parabens has really helped my sensitive skin because I haven't had any reactions. I've also noticed a decrease in the number of breakouts that I've had because I finally found a product that removes every trace of makeup off my face.
he first day I tried the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, it was around 8pm meaning I had a full day of makeup, lipstick and eyeshadow. I took my rolled cotton wool sheets and dapped some product on it. At first I thought this mineral water was going to dry my skin out (but then again what would I have to lose from trying?). I gently started to remove everything from my face and “wow”, the cotton wool simply glided on my face. Let me say, I had never seen so much makeup on cotton wool before (guilt struck). I went in again with another sheet and more came off. On the third swipe there was hardly any evidence of makeup ever being on my face.
I had purchased the one in the Pink bottle which is for all skin types and also can be used for sensitive skin.If you have a different skin type, then don’t you worry. The Micellar water in the blue bottle is for combination to oily and sensitive skin. So we’re all covered.
Due to the fact that I have sensitive skin I waited around 10 minutes, just waiting for the itch to start and NOTHING. My skin showed no reaction and was left feeling moisturised and clean. Since the bottle read that I didn’t need to rinse, wild guess – I didn’t.
The following few days I kept using the product and I must say I’m truly happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it. It does exactly what it promises and also reduces the hassle of having to go through those tedious night time routines of removing makeup (a blessing). The Micellar water can also be used in the morning to refresh your skin and evenings as a makeup remover.
Definition of Micellar Water: They originated in France and are non-rinse, soap-free cleansing waters that contain micelle molecules. Micelles are attracted to dirt, grime, and oil, and they draw out impurities without drying out your skin.
The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water removes make-up, cleanses and soothes without the rinsing. It comes in a 400ml bottle that promises uses based on 2ml use per cotton pad. I would recommend that you use the rolled cotton wool rather than the cotton wool pads as this will give you more usage as you can decide how much to tear off for your specific needs.
It’s available from your Clicks and Dischem stores and retails for less than R80.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive make-up remover (beauty on a budget), then this is the product for you. I would give this great product a 9/10.
