I got given this as a gift and I really really love it! Such a stunning golden, champagne highlight. Suitable for light to medium/dark skin tones! I have used this on many different people and it suited everyone. It is very expensive which is the reason why I wouldn't repurchase. I do find that it is a bit powdery/glittery but if you tap the excess off the brush it is all good and you aren't left with too much!
After searching and failing for much of last year to get the Soft and Gentle due to it being in HUGE demand and always being sold out, I was able to finally get this product.
The price was a bit steep - but then you dont skimp on your face.
I use it as a highlighter or on its own as a blush and it works amazingly.
Love this product. I have a very oily skin and this skin finish works wonders with my skin. It can also double up as a bronzer. It leaves my skin looking flawless and anything but shiny! Worth a shot!
The repackaged MAC mineralize skin finish natural was finally launched today in Mzansi,
After almost two months of calling, (some If people may call it harassing) searching and researching I got the call at 5.36pm exactly from the manager of the MAC in Melrose Arch to say the skinfinish naturals that had been out of stock had arrived. She told me she’d keep it aside for me. But I couldn’t wait, I called the Sandton City FFS and asked if they had received the new shades and they confirmed they had. As soon as my husband got home, I asked him to get them for me and while he was cold and starving, he obliged and got them.
I use the MSFN in medium dark and while it works great, I was dying to try the new shade in Medium Tan because I do have a yellow undertone and wanted to give the new shade a shot.
Here’s the old packaging and the MSFN in Medium Dark. Black pan with a clear plastic ring on the lid so the product is visible.
The new packaging . . . The box it comes in is half matt and half glossy. That’s fab . . . the product packing got me amped! It looks sleek. The cover is a matte black with the MAC logo at the front. It has a magnetic open and close system and a mirror. The bottom half is a shinier plastic.
Now for the product.
Both shades were almost identical with the Medium Dark looking slightly lighter than Tan medium. While MAC says they only changed the packaging, there is definitely a difference in the formula.
The old MSF is not as finely milled as the new one. Both swatched smooth and easy, but there was more coverage and better pigmentation in the new product and the glitter was subtler.
Overall, I love the shade and the relaunched product. I think MAC gave their MSFNs a makeover and a little TLC because judging by products popularity, it definitely take care of MAC.
I absolutely love the Mac range in general, their powder is a must have!! I’ve used it and have tried other powders but haven’t found a powder that can compete. It gives your make-up that “fresh” look and provides just enough cover. It’s perfect for those lazy days and never gives you that “to much make-up” look. Pop it in your bag for those quick touch ups on your night out and feel good the whole night.
The price is a little high but you will definitely get your money’s worth.
I looooooooooooooooooooove this powder, not so much the price. I bought mine in over a year ago and I have since been applying it over my liquid foundation for a nice glow and the perfect setting powder, or as a light weight powder all on its own on the days I dont feel like wearing makeup.
It gives a certain glow and keeps makeup in place and prevents my face from getting oily quickly! I havent found a powder that could rival this as yet!
Mineralize Skinfinish Naturals are a great product and should be a welcomed addition to any woman's makeup stash. It imparts a velvety and natural sheen to the skin and can be worn on its own (for a VERY sheer coverage) or over your existing foundation. It does not look of feel powdery and you can purchase them in a variety of shades. you can use them for subtle highlighting and contouring of the skin.
