For my hair type I don't think this product worked for me, my hair was too oily after use. I don't use hair foods so found the oil rich spray to be a better option for me. This is definitely made for someone which thicker hair.
However this is great for styling closer to wash day.

I have a dry scalp which becomes flaky if not moisturized correctly or with the correct product. This hair food promised long moisture & it delivered. I noticed though that during winter I had to at least base my scalp once a week because it gets dry quicker. Great product & very affordable, almost 2 months & my tub is half empty. You really get your value for money

I am a person that suffers from a very dry scalp and this is the first product that actually moisturized my scalp and didn’t merely grease my hair up. It smells so amazing as well.

This product is amazing, I love the smell & the consistency of the hair food. With other hair foods, you’ll find that the consistency is quite thick and you end up having product build up that appears to be white in your hair. My natural hair is always in cornrows because I wear wigs during the wig, so any product that will keep my scalp moisturized and healthy is a big yes for me. For what you get, the product is affordable. I would however suggest that they include some ingredients that promote hair growth for people who need to restore their hair lines and keep it in tact. Other than that, I would give this product a 7/10.

I was very pleased with the fragrance/scent of the products.I normally hate how most hair food products smell.This one had a nice pleasant coconut smell which made me feel confident using it.
The product feels really good on my hair and left my hair moisturized.however I would like to see more active ingredients for hair growth.I normally buy hairfoods to keepy scalp moisturized and for hair growth.I missed out on that hair growth factor which other hairfoods offer.

This product is formulated for 4c hair but let me tell you my 3c hair loves it. I use it to style a sleek pony and also yo lock in some extra moisture.

I would definitely repurchase this product during winter because of the cold and dry winters naturals need that extra layer of moisture to nourish their scalp and promote healthy hair growth.
A little definitely goes a long way it's very concentrated, and this probably explains the price. What I don't like about the product is that when applying it it creates a bit of a film on my scalp not allowing any other products to penetrate my scalp. So I would suggest that you put it on your palm and allow it to melt and then use your fingertips. If you initially use your fingertips it won't melt adequately enough. The coconut oil in the product needs to thoroughly melt in order to penetrate your scalp.
The packaging, smell and feel of it is amazing tho!

Okay, so my first thought when I saw this product was, "who still uses hair food?" I mean, I haven't for years but this product made me a fan. Not only does it smell amazing but it provides the moisture I need and doesn't leave my hair feeling crunchy. I used it on wet hair and apply small amounts on part of my hair before twisting it. After undoing my plaits my hair felt and looked moisturised and I love it! This basically taught me to not bash things before trying it. Hair food was a staple for my hair when growing up and it might just make its way back. This was the most surprising product for me in the range.

I prefer wearing wigs in winter, so my afro is always in cornrows. I really love how the hairfood kept my hair and scalp moisturized. It has a nice shine to it as well. I found my scalp was also not as itchy and because I wasnt always scratching my cornrows tend to last much longer.

I love the way this product leaves my hair, as it’s incredibly shiny and light weight. You must not mistake it for a styling product however, this will not prevent frizz or define your curls- it’s main purpose is to lock in moisture an protect your hair and scalp. It’s a great product for women who are wearing protective styles, like braids, but want to ensure the health of their hair and scalp. I don’t think this is the right product for me with Type 3C hair, I’d recommend this for ladies with Type 4 Hair. Try not to use too much as it’s extremely oily.

If you on the lower/medium porosity side you might just be stuck with weighed down oily hair.
So for those who find thicker products work better with your hair this will be a savoir and especially now during this colder winter period.
For the medium/low porosity sisters you could get away with using this product but maybe for a deep conditioning weekly treatment. Just take abit of the hair food, heat it up and add your favorite conditioners or masks.

This hair food is certainly by far a hair food that truly DOES HAVE the ingredients all mixed together in the right amount I love how the consistency of the Aloe vera infused in the product using almost double in just a month I have come to accept the fact that products infused with Aloe Vera is very very effective on kinky coily hair not only does it add an amazing amount of slip but leaves no unwanted residue.,it smells amazing the Coconut scent just makes doing your hair so pleasant, and its definitely lightweight and does not weigh my hair down.

The hair foods I've used in the past always had a pungent smell and after a few days, it would leave my scalp with a lot of grease. This hair food does the complete opposite! the coconut and aloe scent is very present yet so gentle. It's smells absolutely amazing and my scalp does not get greasy when I apply it. It's a really wonderful product that I would buy I would repurchase.

I love this hair food! The smell is amazing, so you don’t have to worry about using hair products with a funny, it’s a mixture of fruity smells.
In terms of moisture, it’s really good for applying on the scalp, especially if you have a dry scalp because it keeps it moisturized without feeling heavy and the feeling as if it’s clogging the pores on the scalp. Great job here Tresemmé!

This product is great for everyday use. Having a combination of 4C/B hair, I not only use this hair food to base my scalp, but I use it to moisturizer my protective styling before bed. The hair food retails for R39.99 if I remember correctly and I honestly expected it to for a more expensive price. It does't leave hair greasy and is easily absorbed into hair. It gives hair incredible shine as well.

I didn’t expect the product to work as well as it did. It left my hair feeling soft and silky. Unlike other hairfood it didn’t leave me hair feeling greasy and heavy. Also the smell is out of this world, I got so many compliments about how my hair smells so I’d highly recommend the product.
